I sit over in turn 3 (Sec 11, Row JJ, seats 15, 16, 17, 18) and have been sitting in those seats since 1989. This was my 38th in a row (don't count COVID year). I'll Probably never get rid of them but at times I miss seeing the front stretch and the feel of the crowd. Thanks for the video. Hell of a race this year!
Thanks man, i am surprised you have been this committed to the sport. It was my first indy 500 and the view we got was amazing so i am glad that i was able to go.
@@Jimmy9276official Yep. I was born and raise over in New Pal (25 min east of Indianapolis), moved to Florida and then South Carolina in 2010. I come back every year, my dad flies up from Ft. Meyers (he's retired), and I brought my oldest daughter (13) and middle son (9) this year. So, we had 3 generations in the stands this year, which was pretty special. My dad's first race was 1967. I love that place... there is no place on this earth or a bigger race than Indianapolis. I'll go until I physically can no longer do it. Cheers
I really miss this view. It was the view I enjoyed for many years sitting on or near the top row of the old Tower Terrace grandstands. Sadly, they tore them down in 1999 to make room for the F1 garages and new luxury suites. You're lucky to be able to enjoy the view from there.
@DustyTail I always get up at 4:30am for the 500 because the pre race starts at 5am, green flag at about 6:30am. Plus, I normally skip my coffee when I get up for the 500 because the adrenaline is already pumping. With the delay, coffee was needed.
This was the first view I have seen when Dixon passes Rossi! Wow! Thank you! I just couldn't get any views previously because the camera man zoomed in to the checkered flags so soon.
TV coverage was crappy. In the closing laps when cars were on different pit cycles and the field flipped you think they could have given those guys like Larson and Rahal a bit of coverage time in the lead positions instead of calling the race as to how it would be in the end. Plus, local networks broke into the coverage of the race warning of tornados miles from my location never to have materialized. Thanks for that one.
@@dalemihocik4732Here in St. Louis we missed the ENTIRE 2nd-half of the race and then some...due to KSDK-5 WEATHER interrupting. I was THIS close to going TOTAL Tony Stewart round' here. Gave my TV the "Will Power Salute" so many times that my fingers were plum worn out from standing so much. Grrrrr !!! 🏎
No they don’t. What seems weird in this video is how quite everyone seemed to be. I was in SW Vista and people were yelling and or screaming the last 10’laps. Certainly the last 3 or 4. Was a loud crowd. Not a Newgarden fan, and O’Ward I’m ok with so I was yelling my head off for him. 😱 I’m cool with whoever wins. And Newgarden in the with the fans is cool. Edit bc autocorrect sucks.
Nice video. I was infield turn 2. The cries of despair when Newgarden passed OWard. Never heard anything like it. Amazing finish.
I sit in the home stretch. Those cries you heard were from me lol.
Only video I've found of Dixon making his move. Dont care for Newgarden, and I needed to see Dixon get his podium!
Glad i could help out, i do what i can
Rossi ran out of fuel
There is no podium for Indy 500. Only a victory circle for the victor.
Podium, no such thing in American racing. Win or nothing.
YOU DO NOT CARE FOR NEWGARDEN!?

For The First Time Since I Miss The 107th Indy 500.
Thanks also from Sydney; nice bit of video!!
You’re welcome, thanks for the support
Muy buen video y buena perspectiva, Saludos desde Argentina
I was there in section 12 of the paddock at the start/finish line. Josef ran into the stands right below our seats.
I was sitting almost directly across from this view
Thanks from Honolulu, for the video. Great race.

Yes!! Thank you Indy Fan!!
Fresno CA
This race started at a decent time for y’all instead of 6am more like 10am.

This was my first Indianapolis 500 that I got to go to
It was my first as well
what a finish!!!
As a Newgarden fan sitting in Turn 3 it was crazy he was able to pull that off I met Pato the day before he is gonna win it soon
This was the first view I have seen when Dixon passes Rossi! Wow! Thank you! I just couldn't get any views previously because the camera man zoomed in to the checkered flags so soon.
I see so many people on reddit saying they cant see the view but my video is here for everyone
What seat did you have? I want to go next year and those look like great seats!
We were your neighbors in the SW vista section 7.
genial CANAPINO💙🤍💙🤍 VAMOS ARGENTINA CARAJOOO!!!!! VAMOS AGUSTIN !!
How do I get a pagoda ticket?
We sat behind the pits and moved up at the end of the race to watch the finish
Oh gotcha
Pato O Ward was awesome , I cant trust Newguard.
I was pulling for Pato but im a Newgarden fan because of the 24 at Daytona
Turned off my TV. Danica is the worst commentator ever!
Wish they had option just to watch with car sounds only.
I have never liked many of the announcers since Jim McCay and Sam Posey were gone.
Track announcer Tom Carnegie was a huge loss of the sport too.
