Another classic call by the IMS Radio Network as a Newgarden fan and sitting at the top of Turn 3 it was an amazing and insane pass for the win thanks for uploading these
El jueves previo a la carrera le dije a un periodista 🇦🇷 en Instagram, que iba a cubrir a Canapino, que el ganador sería Newgarden, tenía un 🚀 y la experiencia en las 500... Hermoso final!! ✨♥️
The current lineup for the Indy 500 Lead Anchor - Mark Jaynes Driver analyst - Davey Hamilton Turn 1 - Nick Yeoman Turn 2 - Michael Young Turn 3 - Jack Query Turn 4 - Chris Denari They're some of, if not the best in the business!
I feel bad for Dixon with the weak Honda engine at Indy. All he could do was watch from the tail end of the draft. Great finish though! Hopefully next year will be better for Honda. Love the competition!
I'm so confused here. Never been to the 500, but was listening to this (exciting) radio broadcast while at the Coke 600 this year. Then I watched some fan videos from Indy and the track speakers don't use this exciting commentary? The track commentary they play is SO BAD and boring, holy crap. Why don't they play this for people at the track? It seriously makes me hesitate to go to the 500.
That's a very good observation! Surprisingly, the at track Public Address system has its own set of announcers. For the last couple of years, it's been Allen Bestwick & Dave Calabro. Before the pandemic, Bob Jenkins was the lead announcer for the at track PA. I agree with you though I think IMS Radio should absolutely be played live at the track!
In my experience at the track (I've been to 5 or 6 500s), I can't hear the PA well enough over the cars to matter. I've always brought headphones and listened to the radio call.
@@NationalParksArtist I bring my own RE OTA scanner to the NASCAR races. I usually listen to to the MRN/PRN broadcast and then switch to my driver when the caution comes out to hear his feedback on the car and strategy. Are scanners a thing at Indy?
If you're counting on the track speakers you won't hear half of it because of cars on track. So bring your own earphones and listen to the radio broadcast. It's not that hard.
Can't wait till May 2025!!!
What a HISTORIC last 15 Laps at the Indy 500

Happy to upload these👍
I'm glad you stuck around through the rain to see it happen!
IMS Radio Network Always Delivers at "The Greatest Spectale in Racing"
Thank you for making this. I was at the Race, and couldn't listen to the radio broadcast. There's nothing like IMS radio for race day.
This team is one of the best in the business!
Only way to do it. Bring a broadcast radio headset, don't have to mess with frequencies or trying to hear the announcer.
Been to 10 Indy 500s and listened to IMS on all of them.
That's awesome!
This crew absolutely nails it every year!

¡Newgarden es muy rápido en los óvalos!
Canapino mostró buena velocidad en la clasificación antes de problemas con el motor...
As a Rossi fan words could not describe how bummed out I was
Bro, you did not deserve that ending ... he was peddling all month to keep up with the Penske cars...
Another Brian Barnhart fuel save classic!

10:13 The Pass
That reminds me so
Much of Rick Mears on Michael Andretti in 91. Send it on the outside at 230 mph and hope you make it through
Who’s on the mic now a days on the IMS radio network? I remember the days of Bob Jenkins, Gary Lee and Jerry Baker

Unfortunately, Dixon just didn't have the speed to keep up with any of the Chevy's
Something always seems to happen to him at Indy...
