Good vid Args. contracts changes seem good for sure.. I like how the contracts are more just task specific not the overall job ala baling. I hope modders can mod next day that field might give you the next task to chose to do as a contract. It would have been nice to see in the minimap where you have been over the field and where you have not finished/missed like in PF that they have had in the last 2 versions.
There seems to be a bug where the contract vehicles don't despawn if the contract is canceled. I canceled a beet job and the borrowed vehicles are still at the dealer and won't go away.
The new contracts are a bit ridiculous. I got a baling contract, it supplied a Merlo and a GoWeil bailer. Drive all the way there and I have 3 bales to wrap. After you wrap them you're done. No collecting or transporting. Just collect your payment and walk back to the store.
The contracts change between doing hay/silage to simply just baling if we really want to is a nice touch. Plus, the time limit returning and the ability to borrow equipment to do multiple contracts is good, too. The only thing I don't exactly like is the "interesting" choice for equipment you can borrow (the fendt orchard tractor & cone shaped 3pt spreader, for example) Question is: will Giants add the ability for contract missions to have modded equipment available to borrow like back in FS17. (I think there were some mods available for the borrow items option in 22 as well, but those were very rare)
I really dislike the contract finishing and you being unable to complete the field. I like to actually complete a contract I get instead of leaving a full row or two not finished. but I suppose that'll be changed or modded very quickly. more contracts including the forestry ones from fs22 platinum is great. adding straw baling and stone picking is also a good move. Pesky AI leaving stones always made me really uneasy doing seeding contracts on their fields. I hope precision farming returns soon and has more contract integration like not using the normal fertilise rate but the farmer giving you the data or having those small active scan boxes work on contract fields with no scanned data. I'm unsure about baling contracts. are they completely split like only mowing or baling now? is how much you need to do (Mow, (ted) windrow, bale (wrap) and transport now gone or do the full contracts still randomly appear? I'd personally like more dynamic, like some harvesting contracts can request straw swaths or not, maybe also baling them. and ofc some people do want bales to be moved and some don't.
The not completing the field is annoying! I'd also like to see that progression in contractd, don't think we are going to be I get any full mow/bale/deliver type contracts though.
The game map still doesn’t look like a living and breathing environment. It’s DEAD. No AI farmers working on their farms no people walking around…. Really nothing has changed. Gameplay is still the same. Sure it looks better but it is still a sandbox “Rinse and Repeat” game with no competing NPC AI. What a let down…Disappointing.
At least add something like straw or grass bales on fields, maybe decorative farms that have random equipment depending on time of years. Anything would make the map more lively but what's the point when they can slightly upgrade graphics, add couple new crops and keep milking the series...

@ yes and together with the new pastures it’s a huge step forward. The only thing missing now is seasons like we had in fs19.

are you using seasons? May not be the correct window for that? Otherwise, not sure sorry
