A surprisingly good album. I haven't listened to the Pumpkins in a long time and I am liking most of what is here. Unfortunately, to my ears at least, the album is a bit too long. Cutting the less distinctive tracks on the second half would have really made this a more powerful album. In any case, Smashing Pumpkins are back on my radar.
Cur Telegenix, Adrennalynne, Haunted, Schaudenfreud, Tyger Tyger. This would elevate CYR to one of their best albums

After listening almost to the whole 20-song album... as a longtime SP fan I must say that I am not disappointed but... this music leaves such small emotional/musical impression on me, that I cannot say anything positive or negative. For me, impact of this album vanishes like fumes in the wind. I can say, that this did not happen with any older stuff, even their weaker efforts of past few years (Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 for example).
dude listen 3 times and you will be hooked on 3/4 of the tunes..

@@pallovnik maybe you're just not into music as much as you used to be. Because I know I'm not. Pumpkins were my favorite band when I was in my late teens and early twenties. Their last few albums, even Oceania didn't click with me. So I found repeat listings to be tough. This sound just happens to resonate with me. Maybe it's because I'm also a fan of 80s industrial music, but I'm digging it. I'm also a big fan of the new Marilyn Manson album which has similar vibes.

I really connected with the first 9 songs they released....but I’m struggling with the rest of the album.
I struggled with the whole album to be honest. I love their early stuff, this doesn't appeal to me.
It’ll probably grow on you. I felt that way at first, now I love all of it.
