Considering removing the Windows Recovery Partition for additional space? Do we really need the Windows Recovery Partition?
Each time Windows is installed, it automatically creates a recovery partition. This serves as a rescue mechanism in case of system malfunctions. However, this partition is not essential for Windows' day-to-day operations. A system recovery can also be accomplished using a Windows USB stick.
The space occupied by this partition usually ranges from 500 MB to 700 MB. The decision to delete it primarily hinges on the overall storage capacity of your device. For instance, on a netbook with an internal memory of 32 GB, eradicating this partition is a more logical choice compared to a desktop PC with a 2 TB SSD where space is much less constrained.
Thanks a ton!

edit: i had to delete recovery partition because i needed to expand c drive and i have another recovery partition so this was a no-brainer for me
Thanks mate! My C drive only allocated half its memory and had multiple recovery partitions between the OS installation and the other half of my unallocated memory. I couldn't simply extend my C drive since the recovery partitions were in the way so this helped me a ton.
same case here
Thanks Bro.. I needed to remove the recovery partition from my secondary hdd which I wanted to use as a portable hdd (with usb casing)..
You explained straight and simple.. Done easily.. Thanks Again Bro.. 🙏🏼👍🏼

Well, Diskpart SAYS I deleted the partition, but the SSD will not give up it's grip on the recovery partition. It still shows up in my disk manager so I can't re-allocate the space.
Hmm sounds strange. No idea, sorry.
thanks
I accidentally deleted this healthy recovery partition, does it cause any problems for me in future
As long as it is labeled recovery you should be fine.
