Thanks for the video and I like the footage that you shot. Can you give me an idea though how large that sweet spot in the center is that's nice and sharp and kind of where the soft area starts in on the sides.
Forget about Zeiss but does any Samyang matches or scores better than this? I am curious as I always trust Rokinon/Samyang but never had a hand on this one, that seems attractive.
Miloz thanks so much! I think it’s a decent, not amazing choice for APC-C. I really like the full frame 35mm coverage with this type of bokeh. A 50mm 1.2 isn’t as impressive as a 35mm 1.2 in my books. But still an awesome lens!
Carlos Bonilla ahhhh the flicker. Knew that would come up. Yes, for the sake of the review I only used practical lighting. The light above the stove is really poor quality so when shooting all mo, it gave me that hideous flicker. The main thing is recognizing that and changing the lighting. There are paid plugins you can use to remove it. What I did is duplicated my layer, offset it by 1 frame, change the opacity to 50, and then change the time interpolation to frame blending. It gives you ghosting as you can see, but better than the flicker
Hi Austin! Quick question: I reid a used copy of the 25mm f1.4 slr Cine and the fous ring felt quite stiff. Is that also the case with brand new lenses? Compared to my sony fly by wire lenses it was really difficult to turn the focus ring handholding the camera... Any help is appreaciated! :)
Hey ! thanks for the video, did you record with Sony a7iii or...? and, do you know what kinda "follow focus" stuff will work with this lens ? i think it could be very usefull to have a follow focus to record video with this lens
What do you guys think? Do lens imperfections muddy footage or give it more valuable character?
give it more value and character! But a negative is that I think this would be a hard lens to run and gun with considering the short focus pull.
I love the way it looks honestly wide open. I'm just wondering what it looks like a f4-5.6; does the sharpness increase?

The 13th_dilemma surprisingly pretty great! I want to try the 75mm

Great video! I was actually looking at this lens and may pick one up!
This was helpful. Definitely entertaining the idea of picking one up.
Nice choice with the Vivaldi! Did you get the rights to use it or did you find a royalty-free version and where? Thanks man, good stuff.
Hey Austin, would you recommend this lens for an APS-C camera? thank you very much, nice content, keep creating!

2:21 the SLR 35mm do really the little anamorphic lens flare ?
Do you Know how to avoid that flickering on videos?
Good Video, considering this lens!

dunno if that helps or not, but shooting on PAL instead of NTSC doesnt give me any light flicker at all.
Increase shutter
How does compare to the Mitakon? Apart from the price of course.
You should do a video on your tattoos
That would be cool! Maybe I will when I get another one
Any idea if those (aka 'Cine') are the same glass as MicroPrimes, just different package?
Do a video about the 32 penny board

Can this lens be paired with an autofocus adapter such as the Techart or Fotodiox? I'm considering getting this lens to play with the A7m3.
Really debating on getting this lens first cine lens
Nice review video 👍🏽
Does any one use a hood lens for the SLR magic 35mm lens? can’t seem to find a lens hood for it.
This lens is a native anamorphic scale output?
can you test focus breathing please ?
Hi, This lens has vingetting at lower stops?
nothing was focused in the last video?
Is this an APS-C or full frame lens?
Stefan Becker full frame!
im pretty sure that thats not super smooth creamy bokeh.. sounds more like an obsession with buzz words. i bet you also say buttery smoothe too?
Good job!
Thanks for sharing dude
Every lens has a razor depth of field if you know how to use it property - it is simple physics.
cluxseltoot I think there’s an obvious distinction in DOF between a 16mm f4 and a 50mm f1.1...
Super super sharp, super super cool, super super duper, super super duper super super Bokeh .........😳
Dopeee. I need a boken beast in my life. xD like a F1.1 Too bag i can't afford that xD
