    I knew when you said weldable primer there was gonna be porosity. Have to burn really hot and have a wire that has deoxidizing characteristics. Good Video doing mine this weekend.

      Yeah , Im not a fan of weld through primer IMO. I get Its purpose though, but avoid it If I can paint all sides afterwards.

      Probably more of a bad/cheap bushing put into the arms. Still a good lesson on what cheap buys.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 лет назад

      Really is bushing quality I think. That and I used petro-based grease, not silicon. I could have tore them up. But they binded from day one bad.

    I am going to install my reinforcements in with gray seam sealer. Once the sealer dries up it should form a strong structural bond to the body. It will add strength and keep moisture out.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 лет назад +1

      Great idea. I have some left over, I can at least put it around the welded seam.

      @@brucebell7623 you bolt down the reinforcements wet with sealer. When the sealer dries those reinforcements won't come out without a fight....no welding reguired, they are permanently glued and bolted down in place.

    Yo, Mike! FYI: A box of X-large wee-wee pads does wonders for catching drippy car messes. Plastic lined to protect the floor and amazing how much liquid they catch or soak up from spills! Just fold it up and throw it away and super cheap.

  • @jeffchan9176

    Sorry Dula but articulation is what wrecked your bushings and your floor. This is not a problem with stock arms because the bushings are so big and soft but they are plagued with wheelhop problems. The only solution, especially after reinforcing is a set of bushing that also allow for twist. Maximum Motorsports is one company that recognizes the problem.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 лет назад +2

      Your good man. I agree. HP didnt help it though. I know they we're fine until I took it to the track and the dyno finished it off. The new set im putting on it heimed at the upper axle and poly on the rest of the ends, to allow for movement on the uppers. MM recommends using stock uppers stamped steel and their lowers for this reason...your right. I went into articulation and using stiff poly on all 8 ends but had to cut a lot out...too much me talking. MM makes killer stuff. Wont say yet what I went with, but it was a decision between MM and another company. This new setup is set for hooking at the strip.

  • @anibalcruz8355
    @anibalcruz8355 5 лет назад +1

    Seems like you could just out some Polly's in there.
    The arms seemed to be pretty solid. It looks like it was just the bushings that gave.
    Young Ladd. Glad to see you back, I was getting kinda worried.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you. Just busy with work, life, kids...The arms are solid, just dont have much twist to articulate. These we're poly bushing but I think I trashed them using regular petro based grease and not silicon.

    Looks good. I'd recommend por15 paint over all that cause it last. My torque boxes were trashed from years of street drifting. Ended up doing the wild rides torque box replacements. Almost 500 spot welds to get the stock upper and lowers out. Take care!

  • @garymatthys3605
    @garymatthys3605 5 лет назад +1

    It's not the amount of power. The axle acts as a very large lever and when you take out the 'give', the compliance of the rubber bushings something has to give. So, torn up bushings, torque boxes, etc. Fox suspension binds by design or they would have had to add a panhard bar to control side to side movement.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 лет назад

      This is true. I explain it poorly in this video I admit. Next video I mention a little about binding being the issue not really the power.
