Man I just did this exact install with the rear coil overs 2 days ago... ran into an issue with having a 93 cobra rear end in it that after swapping to fox length 4 lug axles to suck up the tire inside the fender well the brake calipers will hit the shock at the spring for the parking brake and you lose about the last inch of travel on the threads. But that’s the sacrifice for 4lugmafia kinda guys!! Great content can’t wait to see it on the floor!
This thing should hook awesome! My daughter heard peppa and came over to see. I’m surprised my girls don’t have a brittish accent yet. They already call gas “petrol” and vacations “holidays”. 😂😂
The ONLY thing I could recommend since you're doing all the rear end work would be 93 4 lug cobra disks! Super easy and cheap for you to do! I definitely think this is the best fox on RUclips though, it's just got a vibe of it's own!
Damn brother, would have been a great time to install a safety loop! That thing is gonna hook! With the upper arms i drill the pilot and opened it up to where it was a tight fit for the spacer. Hammer that area to where the support will not fall in and then with the arm in place drill the opposite hole!
Great video! And weather or not Andrew likes it or not. He is very much part of this channel. U 2 have great chemistry. I wish me and my ex stepson had the same. BTW, hopefully u have shooooooo'd away the haters. SVE, 4 Lug, u can serve me up! Lol!
I don’t comment on every video but you are my favorite RUclipsr. Nice video. Also what’s the link the the coilover kit you bought? Didn’t see it in the description.
anxious to see how these coil overs work out for you, I have CO's on the front of my car and love them, but I also installed a strut tower brace to help strengthen it all up, I'm kinda worried about putting all the weight and strain on something that was designed to only deal with what a strut or in the rear the shock places on it and I don't want to add bracing in the rear of my car that will interfere with the cargo room in what is already a small hatch area, I like having a spare tire and a sub in the back.
Hey guys, great channel. FYI, The lower shock brackets in the video are intended for eye to eye style coil over shocks only Like a Viking bolt in coil over kit or equivalent. The Strange shocks with the stud at the top will put the shock at such an angle it will contact the lower bracket. If you're looking to lower the rear of a Fox Body or SN95 Mustang, the Viking style coil over kit is a better choice. The coil over sleeve and Strange shock combo is intended more for a very mild drop (1-1.5 inch max) or gaining clearance for taller slicks. Keep up the great work!
mustang coming ......hummm...whooom whoom...rooooooooaarr!!!!.... camaro or firechicken comin....rap tap tap pop tat tat poo pooooonnnnn.......lol have a good day
After I did everything on my car the axle was pushed to the driver side about a 1/4”. Weird that you don’t really notice it until you put a big set of wheels on the back.
Looking good ol buddy. Hopefully long term gains make it worth doing. You’ll have to give an update after awhile on what you think of the rear coilovers
my car leans down way more on the driver side. I put the adjustable control arms from maximum motorsports to even it out and my passenger side still sits higher
@@BREW2LFOXBODY oh yeah, they're sve lowering springs pig tails to the rear. The car was still sitting low on the driver side rear with the stock springs. I've redone the whole rear suspension. What was crazy was all the stock bushing were still in good condition, replaced all the bushings with polyurethane ones
Excellent vid as usual, however I didnt hear you mention anything about the pinion snubber, which needs to be changed to a shorter one.Lowering the car causes the diff to hit the stock snubber earlier, bottoming the shocks out earlier due to the limited suspension travel with the stock snubber on a lowered car..I speak from 1 busted Lakewood 50/50 and 2 Strange. 10 ways experience! Keep up the love of the hobby! Vernon "Vette Killer" of Tampa Fl💪🏾🙏🏾..also, only certain shocks work with the UPR lowering kit..
Hey, I'm doing the same thing as you and keeping my foxbodies 4 lug. I know you are gonna do a video on the rear drums but have you considered the kit from foxbodybrakes? Its like 500 bucks for everything to convert to 4 lug rear discs. I'm doing the 4 lug rear discs, and gonna upgrade to the 73mm svo front calipers with a cobra brake booster. Really interested in your upcoming brake video though for sure.
Man, that undercarriage is CLEAN! Mine has "rust protection" thanks to driving from Texas to Florida with leaky valve cover gaskets. 😆 I can't seem to get it clean, even with a pressure washer. Any suggestions?
I have the same coilovers, the only thing i dont like is the set screws ,i feel they'll mess up the threads on the coilover. i wish they had a lock ring instead
@9:30ish you mention "upper and lower reinforcements" for the frame rails...is that a separate kit from this LMR coil-over kit? Thanks so much for the video
Few questions #1 what reinforce kit and coilover kit did you install ? #2 How do you like the Team Z grip series kit ? #3 Why didn't you use the Team Z springs and why no anti roll bar. Sorry so long I just did the same swap . Team Z setup, 31 spline axles spool 4.30 gear. And getting little input on a final adjustment.

After installing the drop brackets, my car is super bouncy, I have strange shocks and when I adjust them, it doesn't change anything. Do you think the shocks have gone out? How did the coil over drop brackets work out? I need a set but everything says they won’t work with stock style the upr maximum coil over kit like you’ve got.
Just take them off. Unless it’s a street car only then I would leave them. They actually help keep the rear end from shifting as bad from side to side. But if you have adjustable upper control arms you can fix that issue by adjusting them.
