Exactly. The remake sucked. That movie came out when they were still trying to make Julianne Hough an actress. She's a phenomenal dancer, but acting is not her thing.
it came across more genuine. truly looked like regular people that just loved dancing and simply could do well enough in following the beat and rhythm. So it easily resonates more with the audience than seeing professionals doing these choreograph dancers that you would never see happen in real life.
I have refused to watch the remake. I find it highly irritating that they keep trying to remake so many classic movies. They are just destroying them. Leave the classics alone.

Sean would be well-suited to star in (and/or direct) a true story of an American recently locked up in Thailand for over a year on bogus charges. That scene in Mystic River is the hardest piece of cinema I have ever watched. The shock, grief and horror juxtaposition with Bacon's stillness is just too real. The scene holds us for a moment - to actually experience the nightmare that life can present - just in case we are too asleep in our everyday trivialities and forget how precious love and life really is.

@@lynnmorton9798 I know many people that have seen it, And even if you haven't seen it people know of it-It is a classic
I was looking for that the whole clip. My favourite role of his. I agree definitely should have gotten an Oscar for that.
Tremors is an absolute classic. I'm 38 and it was one of my favourite films growing up. I have cult classics I'll still watch to this day. Big Trouble In Little China. The Goonies. The Lost Boys. Beetlejuice and Tremors 👌
*So, basically, the 1980s weirdest movies. Toss in Heathers and Heavy Metal and you're done.*
@@hulkhatepunybanner you must be fun at parties
@@michaelkavanagh932 *LOL*
@@hulkhatepunybannernot even close to the 80's weirdest films. All of those are very very popular and streamlined.
@@hulkhatepunybanner no, just in many film groups and have watched more than 20 films. They are the literal definition of popular and streamlined at this point in time. Upon release? BTILC was original and different in its main character concept. But they literally are the most popular films in their niche. There's nothing underrated or unknown about them. This tells me you are not experienced at all with films and are very young. At the very least the inexperienced and not that knowledgeable for sure. Not saying the taste is bad, that's different. They're all great.
I remember doing the "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" game with friends all the way back in the 90's. He's had quite the film career!
Kevin Bacon fan since Animal House! Awesome actor with an impressive filmography. Flatliners and Hollowman are favorites as are A Few Good Men and Wild Things.
My favorite film with Kevin Bacon was "She's having a baby". Such a good movie!
I caught that on a random channel, good movie.
I was wondering why he never speaks about that role/movie. He did a great job on that part.
I’m watching that rn ! It’s so funny
Yes
Glad you guys picked Sleepers. This is a very dark underrated movie I was hoping he would talk about
He's had such an incredible diverse career covering all sorts of genres, yet now he's selling phone contracts for EE.
Here's hoping we see him in more movies as he's such a great actor.
One of my favorite Kevin Bacon is Stir of Echos and it only gets a brief mention at the very end. Wish he had covered the one, but over all amazing actor, amazing career. So many iconic roles.
I actually love death sentence his performance was great
I loved him in 'She's Having a Baby'💕💕💕💕
He is so handsome!
Very well done career.
Never get enough of *Flatliners* and *Hollow Man* .
These are so fun to watch, and this particular one was great.
I was worried they wouldn't talk about Woodsman and Hollowman. And to hear about Mystic River was just great. I wanted to hear about Wild Things though! This was such a good one though.
HeyMonaLisaCanI 95 Wild Things is one of those movies that looks like trash, but is actually expertly crafted trash. Great movie.
@@oldDNU for sure
Kevin is one of those (is this real) people that actors all dream of one day meeting, I've very much enjoyed his roles and movies in a way that's so easy to take for granted, Thank-you soo much to everyone involved in the shoot, this video is quite a treasure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kevin Bacon, is one of my favorite actors the gamma of characters that he has portrayed is very impressive. Having said that, there were so many other movies that he was in that weren't mentioned, I guess time ran out. Kevin, I'm watching "Footloose" followed by " A Few Good Men" for the 7th time since I have my own DVD love it!!!
One of his best performances was "Murder in the First". Should have won an Oscar for that, it was that good....
I'm suprised they didn't talk about that movie, considering.
How have I never heard of this movie?
@@PollyGammy I don't think it did a big box office, I saw it on TV. Christian Slater defends Kevin Bacon, a mentally handicapped Alcatraz prisoner who is abused in prison by guards and prisoners, accused of murder. One of Bacon's best roles..
Murray Boyer thank you for the premise. I was going to ask, but thought nobody would want to explain. Sounds great. Can I find it on Netflix or anything? I thought he was astounding in Sleepers. One of my favorite movies.
@@PollyGammy I see it's on Amazon Prime.
Them not going in order is making me 🥴
seems like an obvious move but its completely lost on them
It doesn't freaking matter relax or don't watch
Mr. Frisky Whiskers speak for yourself pal
It bugs me too
@John Stroud I'll say it again as well it doesn't matter folks.
Kevin Bacon is an incredible actor but he impressed me even more when he mentions that he aspires to be like Meryl Streep
Why? Cuz feminism?
@@spenser9908 She's a great actor
@@dshe8637 Why would it impress her that he aspires to be "a great actor"?
@@spenser9908 You're the one wondering why and referencing feminism
That shows excellent taste and knowledge.
He almost lost me in Sleepers. Sleepers woke me up and made me just worry about teenagers in juvenile detention centers.
Lol thanks for your love and support💙💙.
The Following was an amazing show, especially for its time and being on regular network tv. Wish it went beyond just 3 seasons.
Honestly it was greatttt
Would have liked to seen him discuss "cop car" or "in the first". I've literally seen all of his movies but it never really dawned on me until now how diverse of an actor he is. He's one of those great actors people forget or fail to mention, including myself. I wonder why that is
I really enjoy this GQ series, listening to what the actor's experience was like. So inciteful.
My goodness...what a banger of a filmography! Love him.
A couple of great ones were left out of this, but I really liked hearing Kevin talk about these roles. He has had so many great ones. Seems like the kind of guy you could hang out with.
As a kid, I love his voice acting as Balto. It was a movie that I would rewatch countless times and actually had a dream to live in Alaska so I could own sled dogs !!! 🐕 🤣🤣🤣
He was also in white water summer, that was also one of my favorite movies growing up.
epic
I had never seen him play anything but white hat characters before. He steps into the black hat very well, chilling
Why has this man never been nominated at the very least for an Oscar?
Lol thanks for your love and support💙💙.
Because the Oscars are silly and subjective. Hillary Swank has TWO Oscars and Myrna Loy, Carole Lombard, Glenn Close never won any.
His mention of Hot Rod in regards to the parody of the warehouse scene in Footloose is EVERYTHING!!! HE LOVED IT!!!
He was fantastic in "Taking Chance" - An iconic role for sure.
My two favorite Kevin bacon movies are footloose and tremors, I grew up watching tremors on VHS and I love it and still watch it today.
Death Sentence is such an underrated film. Kevin Bacon was so great in it.
GQ Interview Robert Redford before its too late.
Lol thanks for your love and support💙💙.
Can anyone go 1 second without saying “underrated??”
Please stop saying “underrated!” 😣😣😣😣
I really missed movies like "Stir of Echoes", Murder in the First", "Wild Things" and "Quicksilver" in that video...
I liked Stir of Echoes way better than The Sixth Sense.
Quicksilver was great!
@Harley Schultz I almost forgot about "Death Sentence". What a depressing movie.
Stir of Echoes is a 90s classic
I absolutely loved Stir of Echoes!!
I read mystic river years ago then seeing the movie ...and Sean Penn nailed that sceen when hes being held down by the cops and he bellows out kind of a scream.. he was definitely deserving of his oscar
I always picture him in Animal House. He had some classic lines. "Thank you sir may I have another." and "Remain calm. All is well." CLASSIC!!!
I loved the range of emotions he gave when his wife had complications during labour in She’s Having a Baby. His eyes spoke a thousand words during that scene.
I also enjoyed watching him in Wild Things
If you want to know how good Kevin Bacon really is as an actor , you have to watch "Sleepers" and "Murder In The First" in a row.
Those ones and Stir of Echoes
Wish he spoke about "Death Sentence" GREAT MOVIE!!
NATURAL NIVIA I know! He is so great in that one
Death sentence was amazing
That movie should of been the Death Wish remake not the stupid Bruce Willis version. It was based on the same book
Rick Carr Bruce Willis version?
@@Egcatalan7305 Jason Statham, because all bald people look alike.
Holy s***, I sometimes forget how many f***ing awesome movies he has been in!
God- I love this guy- you forget how many stellar movies he has been in and the Following, my god, such an impactful series.
City on The HILL is absolutely amazing as well.
Tremors is my favorite movie of Kevin Bacon! I still watch it over and over to this day!
Wish they'd talked about his role as Jorge in Beauty Shop. He was hilarious 😂
Oh my God that is him you're right!
Ugh I was hoping he’d mentioned it, the only reason why I wanted to watch this video
🤣😂
He was hilarious and actually so realistic as that type of douche
My favorite actor! Never gave a bad performance and seems like a chill guy!
I'd like to see kevin bacon in a cowboy role. he just looks like an old cowboy.
Or maybe a rancher, he just looks so right for a good country hat, padded jacket, rough jeans and Western working boots
Tremors kinda fills that bill
Or a spaghetti western, Taratino style
Check Tremors out. It’s a creature feature/western hybrid
I love tremors. I have watched it over and over. And hallowman is my second favorite. He played such good roles in them. Ty Kevin bacon for doing those 2 movies.
Kev!! Such a legend! I love all of his films growing up as a kid especially Mystic River, River Wild and Hollow Man! He has such a ionic voice I’ll definitely know it if I heard him randomly in a room! I would love to see Tom Hanks on here soon!
the audio levels on this video are wildly inconsistent.
really is amazing how little they know about gain normalization being GQ and having 4 million subscribers. I suppose names trump content.
I imagine you being so bitchy and entitled as I read this lol
Yeah you turn the volume down and the voice is almost inaudible and you turn up the volume and Bacon's suddenly too loud
Come on...no mention of "Wild Things?"
Rumor has it he regrets his full monty in it
That's the only reason I clicked on this video, dammit. :(
I was just going to comment about that! That is one of my favorite KB movies!
The first ime we saw Kevin Bacons bacon

Kevin Bacon .. one of the greatest actors in history .. so honest and funny and relatable here talking about his career. Hope to see him in many more awesome roles.
33:51 😂this is the 3rd time he’s talked about not keeping it together during a scene. At some point, the “someone” who “started laughing” becomes clear. Love this guy.
