Lets be honest anyone with a system that has multiple mics has at one time used the wrong one, most of the time we are in a meeting though and have someone listening at the start who says "your audio sounds a bit off". Logitech do put a reasonable mic in their webcams though which helps. Happens to the best of us.
If you don't do a lot of device hopping (laptops) though so are using the same system you can disable the mics you dont want to use to help avoid accidents.
I saw a post once that said nothing in film has aged better than agent smiths sheer frothing rage at being permanently plugged into the Internet

I'm disappointed they did a sequel instead of a clever Matrix reboot Idea. So remake the Matrix, keeping in mind plot points from future movies. Completely replace everything, no references to the original film trilogy. Except... have Keanu Reeves play The Architect.

To be fair about the creators not liking the idea of a simulation within a simulation, it is rather depressing and might have been at least part of the reason. Yes, I know the real world being a hell hole in constant war isn't really any better but I guess the hope is there at least that something could change to make things better.
Yeah, it's really convoluted and opens the door to the nightmare Inception scenario where you might never know where the real final layer is.

Neo overwrites Smith at the end of the first film. This link means they are both The One. Neo doesn't use powers in the real world, IRL Smith detonates an EMP which shorts out the Sentinels and then he and Neo go into a coma at the same time.
That's the end of the 2nd movie. The end of the 3rd he's litteraly detonating thousands of sentinels in the sky

my fan theory on why matrix 4 was shite was because they said they were going to make it with or without the Wachowskis so they decided to do it and fuck it up as a fuck you to the studio
To add to the smith is the one theory, with the matrix being a computer program, Neo is the one and smith the is zero relating back to the binary system of one’s and zero

What I think further supports the better idea that Agent Smith is the One and not Tom is that the Oracle, a future seeing program with nebulous psychic powers and knowledge literally tells Tom, "You are not the One."

Imagine how awesome it would have been for The Matrix franchise if it turned out, Agent Smith was the first "One" and Neo never had a Human consciousness per se, but he was a Unique "Anti-Code". Smith had more Negativity during his run, so Upon his Death, the little Positive he had was converted + accumulated into coding, branched out and settled into one of the growing Humans in the Pods, becoming personified, becoming Neo.
All of Smith's prevalent Negatives and disgust for how The Matrix still wasn't to his taste, condemned him to become one of the core Agents. Sentenced to be stuck in the very thing he was once a like God to (and not knowing his better half is now out there in The Matrix).
Not only would this further explain Neo and Smith's connection, but Neo would then prove to be the light that somehow came out of nothing/darkness, further proving "Something CAN come from Nothing".
People always forget Neo had alway been made as "the one" to get Zion and start the next version of Matrix.
Meaning his hardware was different for that purpose. In other words, he was wireless. When he started doing stuff to real machines, it was because he managed to control that.

I think the Wachowski's cater specifically to me, because I only hear people say their movies are bad except sometimes for the first Matrix and I've so far liked all of their movies.
My Dad had a great head of hair up to the day he died at the ripe ol' age of 92. So I am quite confident in the longevity of my glorious locks, also my wonderfully full ginger salt n' pepper beard (sorry Karl).
Stupid question, if the robots know Neo is important to the resistance, why not take over Neo's body (like any other human in the system) at the beginning and basically take the wind out of Zion's sails?
Have you not watched the beginning of The Matrix? They were trying to control him and take over him, they didn't count on Morpheus' crew showing up and taking Neo so early on.

Hmmm, the biggest question here, Carl, you know that the Original Movie is a Trans Allegory, and the sequels were a giant FU to the neo-nazi fans of the original movie that wanted to turn it into their entire ethos (which, again, hell no) so they made a movie that was meant to call that out, and showcase how powerless the idea of the Matrix as a power phantasy actually is (Neo can't actual turn the tide of the war until the end of the 3rd film, etc).
Also, the Lobby scene...you are in the fortress center of power for the Agents in the city, no one else can come to your help, one of you gets killed, you lose your entire cell, they get an alert out, you are fighting 3 Agents at once. What do you do? By combat rules...KILL EVERYONE FAST, HARD, AND PAINFULLY.
Finally...yeah, multi-level Matrixes was one of the potential angles...but the ending of the second movie was added later, since the 2nd and 3rd movies are designed to be watched back to back, not with months or years in between.

I think they may have ripped the bullet time slo-mo effect from blade they did the same effect a year maybe two before the matrix did
After hearing of more incredibly awful music choices, I love the idea of a movie which begins with a super cliche music choice for it's genre. Everybody with some semblence of media literacy groans and rolls their eyes but by the end the song plays again at the end, it's actually a perfect thematic choice. That or a satirical comedy filled with really silly on the nose choices for its soundtrack for the sake of comedy.

I always thought Neo had his powers outside the matrix was because he has a psychic link to the machines that is inherent to their programming logic. Basically, to the machines, he still has that power because he can change their software at will. The real world might say he cant fly, but the machines will still experience his influence on their software to say, stop them in their tracks and fry their circuits
Also the fanfic idea completely makes the movies pointless thematically, a total bummer, and makes any further exploration pointless outside of the "look at the suffering" fiction. Night City has more hope than that
It wasn't until years after first seeing it, that I realised Agent Smith sounds like Carl Sagan.
I prefer the theory that Smith is the one due to reasons mentioned in the video and for me there's a certain irony that the thing they're fighting against is the very thong that saves humanity.

I thought Zion being another level of the Matrix was cannon. They certainly heavily implied it. If it isn't, why could Neo do Matrix stuff in the "real world" as Karl says. Have they explained this?

My memory of the Matrix series is... Questionable at this point, it's been a few years. But doesn't the architect end up being wrong? He gives a dichotomy- two choices, one being saving the world, the other being saving Trinity and dooming both the Matrix and Zion. But both Zion and the Matrix, though damaged and revolutionized, aren't destroyed (at least, not in the three original movies), and Trinity lives. The Architect's "perfect" equations fail to account for everything- as the Oracle expected- and so all his stuffy, wordy, monologuing bullshit is proven to be just that: Bullshit.
There are a lot of issues with the movies, yeah, but from my reading at least, the Architect was an intentionally stuffy shithead who's probably a takedown of something-or-other. Could be wrong though.
The whole part where they attack the guards and stuff and the overt terror-y overtones is, well, yeah, that's just kinda not good.
I think the Wachowskis are very smart and had some fantastic ideas, but sometimes people can get creative blinders. Much like George Lucas with the prequels, having other smart people willing and able to question him would have made those better films. You can get married to a creative vision and find yourself unwilling or unable to change tack if a better idea comes up.
I'm thin hair but trying to hide it, but only 'cause I started balding when I was 10 😢. I at least do it well by hiding it under a cap whenever I leave the flat or have guests over. Loving potato cam btw.

the matrix sequels were tragic. i've watched several videos explaining them and they're actually much more interesting than i thought but i didn't catch any of these important details when i watched them. i'm ready to admit i don't get most of it if we can all agree they tried way too hard to convolute the point. these movies would've been much better if they told us what the hell they were talking about instead of relying on my dumb ass to grasp the symbolism and jerk off to their philosophical dissertation.

You pronounce Wachowski wrong- there is not 'c' or 'k' sound- also "W" should be "V". Whole surname should be pronounced like "Vahovski" (h like in hello).

If they went to be girls now, they should be Wachowska (or if both Wachowskie)- Wachowski is singular for male name. Plural for male would be Wachowscy- so Wachowscy brothers not Wachowski brothers, but that's just fun note
