Pretty sure that accidental ingredient was "Chemical X", and Cap's shield is secretly the 5th Powerpuff Girl.
Someone did managed to snap the shield in two with just raw strength. That was Odin's Brother Cul Borson also known as the Serpent, in the Fear Itself story arc. Both Wikipedia and Marvel Fandom gave a nod to it. It was repaired using Uru the stuff Thor's hammer was made out off, making it even stronger. Infact Karl mentioned it in the vid "Main Material(s) Vibranium, Uru". Guess they just skimmed over it.
A blast from Doctor Doom also broke the shield in half (and killed all the superheroes) during the 1984 Secret Wars, although he did have the power of the Beyonder at the time.

Steve also used the energy version. At one point, he lost the original shield in the ocean and Tony gave him the energy one as a substitute.
the weird thing about Cap's shield is if you took into account all of he times its been damaged, broken, shattered and replaced it still, somehow, managed to be recently played like vinyl record to hear a crystal clear message from the actual creator of the shield.

Daredevil using the shield just makes me think of the recent Zdarsky run where Daredevil just beats up USAgent and his squad, leaves them on the ground, and just walks away with USAgent’s shield.

You talked about the absolutely horizontal drop kick. There is a maneuver in fencing call the Fleché. It has changed over the years, but the original for was someone leaping completely horizontal with their sword extended.
the part about cutting the shield's strap reminds me of the technique (the authenticity of which is highly debated) in historical fencing of cutting the enemy armor's belts.
I like how most of the wiki has been copied verbatim from the 1986 Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. The "natural concentric stiffness" line always made me chuckle too. As did the reference to an "attachment nipple."

Magneto has a deep respect for Captain America. Both of them went through WWII and remember in marvel Cap saved so many millions of jewish people from concentration camps. I know they have had Wolverine and Magneto talk about how Wolverine was killing Nazis in wwii while Magneto was just a kid.
Thanos breaking Caps Shield was taken from the comics, but in the comics it was Thanos with the completed infininty gauntlet making him the supreme god of Marvel Universe 616. The behind the scenes story of the Shield was that Cap originally had a Kite shield (As seen on the cover the actual first issue of Captain America referenced in the PR montage of the first movie), but shortly afterward a different artist premiered a hero using that shape shield as a costume so Jack Kirby made redesigned Caps shield into a disk. Then a few issues later he realized that the disk shape made the idea of Cap throwing the Shield work.
I feel like in order to explain Captain America bouncing his shield off things all the time, there should have been something to do with him training with Hawkeye and learning how he does his calculations and whatnot

There's an animated movie from back in the day that I own where it's basically the kids of the Avengers taking over...Thor's daughter with Sif Torunn who uses a sword, Captain America and Black Widow's son James who uses a hard light shield projector, Azari the new Black Panther who is the son of Storm and T'challa, Hawkeye's son Francis, and Henry Pym Jr. son of Henry Pym and Janet with Vision, Tony Star, and Hulk as mentors. It was never followed up on that I know of in any other material for Marvel. The name of the film is "Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow"...in the story almost all the original Avengers are dead thanks to Ultron..Thor however is alive and left his daughter on Earth to learn the humility lesson that he learned so she wouldn't grow arrogant.
Older versions(late teens maybe?) of the Next Avengers appeared as a cameo in one of the last issues of USAvengers, setting up a storyline with them, then the Secret Wars reboot happened and their story was dropped from continuity as far as I know.

On the topic of cool things done with the shield... and not that I want a Killer Cap - Marvel has enough Punisher Wolverine Ghost Rider killer heroes. But the time when the only way Cap could stop a vampire (named Blackwing? I think) was to use the edge of the shield to decapitate him. John Byrne story, same guy who had Superman kill Zod in the comics.

Metals unreactive to magnetic fields already exist. Realistically there's limits that should exist to Magneto's power set even among known metals

Two questions:
1. If the shield is undestructable and non-magnetic, how did they manage to attach a strap under it that seemingly never comes off? Did they just superglue it on?
2. Forget about the shield. How did they manage to make nearly undestructable paint? Those red, white and blue can survive a swing from the God of Thunder, but one slight scratch against a wall and my car's paintjob is ruined. Did they also hire a narcoleptic painter to make that one of a kind paint, or is there some Arts and Crafts store out there which sells paint that can survive a plane crash without a scratch?
