About spider silk, not only that, a spiderweb or string of spider silk the thickness of the one Spider-Man uses is not only able in theory to hold an elevator and decelerate it, it's also able to hold a full airplane with seated passengers and even engines working, but a strand of spider silk the thickness of a pencil could possibly hold an empty airplane as well.

I was thinking about that, I think the Batmans get a pass for utility-I can believe that batman might want to use some elbow knives and sneak around in black with scary red eyes. Shouldn’t Spider-Man have a more hopeful vibe? Just doesn’t feel like a character that wants to scare people into submission 🤔

Spider-Man knowing how to chemically formulate and create spiderwebs makes as much sense as humans or mammals knowing innately how to artificially create milk or sweat or blood with outside chemical ingredients just because we can produce it inside our bodies.
Yeah, it's a weird middle ground that somehow doesn't appease either the web shooter or bio web crowds
Web shooters still lose the 'this shows how smart Peter is' aspect, while the bio web fans still have to deal with Peter getting all the powers of a spider except for the most iconic aspect of them.
It's like it was specifically designed to disappoint everyone.

I can believe he figured out a 2 or more chemical reaction to make a biological polymer of some type, we have the ability to make sprayable polymers now, and all it really takes is him thinking up a novel nozel design that let's him make it into a string. More than I can believe he's able to keep up with the biological requirements of fueling bio spinnerettes.

I believe the Alchemex CEO dude drugged Miguel with Rapture not to kill him but to keep him in the company because he was there best scientist or something along those lines..
The killling him to make it look like a accident thing was just becuse he used that DNA chamber thing when no one knew about him doing so and if Miguel found a way to cure the Rapture addiction he could probbally find a way to sue or at least make sure the Alchemex CEO guy regrets drugging him in some way so kicking Miguel down some stairs at that point would be impossible lol
Miguel is also the only Spiderman (I am aware of) without the Spider Sense

While not a spiderman someone has eaten the spider before. Carl King ate the spider hoping to get powers like Peter Parker but ended up mutating into a hive mind of spiders that wore his skin like a costume called "The Thousand"
I was just looking for a decent video on Sipder-man yesterday, so great timing. I know he's super 90's and edgy, but I always liked him because I'm also Mexican-Irish and it was cool to see that representation. I still prefer Peter Parker and Miles Morales (partly for representing Puerto Ricans), but Miguel O'Hara is definitely my third favorite Spider.

It always seemed kind of cool to me that, amongst all the spider-people and clones, 2099 was just a man with claws who made a spider costume as a homage to a mostly forgotten hero.
I was under the impression he wasn't actually spider? At least at 1st.
I think they were also going for an Iron-spider / batman sort of vibe with 2099. I thought it was pretty strange but not the worst thing

If Peter Parker trains his Spider-Sense he can actually unlock the ability to just Sense the Future (Not see just know instinctively what will happen). Seen with earth-8351 Peter Parker

Having defended miles morales creation when he was first roled out, the fact that he chose tonactively accept being spiderman following watching the ultimates peter get beaten to death trying to save people was extremely powerful. It was literally seeing a person accept the consequences of living out his responsibility and not turning away.
Apparently Shield is able to replicate Peters webbing and a villain came close the Trapster aka Paste Pot Pete

It's prob because I'm too young to actually have the context of the edge era of comics and games, but honestly I think the design is alright. Not as strong as most of the other suits for sure though.

I agree, I hate that he can run out of webbing, however as we see in Spider-Man 2 (2004) he can get himself into a mental state where the webs just don't work
I preferred the variance in one cartoon where when Peter is attacked by goblin; goblin grabs his wrists crushing the web shooters.

Fun thing, there actually is a Spider-man that came from eating a spider, one of the scientists at doc ock's accident found out the spider gave Peter his powers, got jealous, and found the original spider that bit him and ate it. He ended up falling apart from radiation, and his body was filled with spiders. The spiders had some sort of hive-mind that believed they were Spider-man, and he was called *Spiders*-man
Your combining 2 different characters backstorys. Spiders-Man is a hive mind of spiders that ate Peter Parker as they were being bombarded with radioactive rays in earth-11580. Carl King is a high school bully of Peter's that was him get bit by the spider and put 2 and 2 together to figure out Peter was Spider-Man and tried eating the dead spider that Peter swatted away and became a living massive spiders called The Thousand.

Personaly my first introduction to Spider-man 2099 was the two video games Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-man: Edge of Time then a few years later when I was around 15 or 16 I started reading the Spider-man 2099 comics from the 90s

I need a grindhouse movie called spider with a shotgun. where Mephisto kills peter's dog, so peter breaks down and goes on a rampage with guns. Extra points if they include a scene of peter robbing the punisher for weapons, but Frank purposely doesn't fight back because he knows that spiderman with a gun is The Worst Possible Scenario for the criminals of new york. The second half of the movie is just a montage of spiderman cutting people in half with duel MP5s and insane bullet accuracy since he's strong enough to the control the recoil.

The suit when he was first introduced was in fact Black and red and not Blue and red. It was due to both stylistic interpretation and artstyle limitations of trying to depict the Bright neon lit city of 2099 on pitch black that they chose to use Blue. Blue would be the parts coated in Light while the black was anything that wasn't being lit up instead of black just being the shadow. Same thing happened to the og peter parker since his suit was also originally Black and red and not Blue and red but changed due to misinterpretations of the artstyle. Now everyone thinks of Blue and red for both and they're so distinctive to those characters that they rarely go back to just using Black and red like it was originally. Especially for Miguel O'Hara.
