My first response when the M3 didn’t work was, DJI rushed this drone to the public and other thoughts… but, as I watched the rest of your story in Alaska my thoughts changed as you explained how it would’ve been easy to get mad at DJI, the drone and lost footage. It wasn’t about the bad. It was about taking in what you HAD and being grateful for the experience. Side note: I don’t think people know how much time and money these take to produce. Well done to the both of you!

The rithm, i mean the editing is fantastic.

Inspirational. Did a solo trip to Alaska from the UK back in 2010 with just a 4 x 4 for a home and a mountain bike for exploring, on a month long road trip through the wilderness. Up to now, the most life affirming experience of my life. To have had a drone at the time would have been the icing on the cake, but now I have one I guess it's time to plan the return trip. Thanks for fuelling the life goals 🤘

6:35 Flipping an operating drone upside down seems non-optimum. I catch mine and just hold down the throttle for a few seconds and it stops. Because of gyroscopic action, flipping the drone is certainly going to put a strong sideways load on the motor bearings and mounting screws, a load that it is not expecting and probably not designed for. The views of the fjord and mountains are *glorious* ! Nicely done.

Tip: When you catch the drone by hand and it tries to spool up, lift it up while you hold the stick down. Its trying to avoid an obstacle (your hand) and it stops fighting once you raise it a foot or so with stick down.

Great video I’ve seen most of those parts of Alaska, minus the ice caves. Just wondering how you got the footage from the tail of the helicopter. I assume you some type of suction mount for your GoPro or DjI action cam?

do you have any issue with your back arms of shaking while hovering ? in korea, there's some issue about this, some of the mavic3, there comes shaking back arms issues.

Views of Turnagain Arm are always beautiful. Yikes on the firmware update and the drone. You got lucky with that sunny weather in Whittier and PWS. Wow, great weather in Valdez on the same trip?! You don't know how lucky you were. That are usually cloudy, dreary, and rainy with low visibility of the mountain peaks.
I really enjoyed your video. I especially liked the shots from the helicopter tail. Am I correct in assuming these were done with a GoPro. Thanks for the pre-release Mavic 3 pro review. I have a Mavic 2 Pro and really like using it. Hope to see more videos as the features get downloaded.
My Mavic 3 CINE failed on me at the worst possible time. I purchased it in the UK and it arrived 2 weeks late (DJI gave me credit as an apology) I was in Sweden and Norway and wasn’t able to fly due to late delivery. Anyhow arrived, flew it twice in the UK and was impressed. The reason I purchased this drone and sold my Mavic 2 was for my trip to Tulum in Mexico which I am currently on. So sunset, rainbow beach in Tulum Mexico (beautiful evening) get out my Mavic 3 switch on to see an error RC Calibration needed. Perform the calibration and still have the error “GROUNDED” Long story short I can’t use the drone and need to send it back to DJI to repair. Very very disappointed after shelling out nearly £5k - customer service has been appalling too (have DJI care as well) would advise anyone to hang onto there Mavic 2’s for the foreseeable

I just hold throttle down for a few seconds. It auto-lands right in my hand but of course I also have a grip on it.
