I ‘d like to learn more a lot how your guys can do this amazing videos, I just started as a baby step to fulfill my heart during 24/7 taking care my family whenever I can have “Me Tine.” Appreciate this .. so beautiful out there. Again thanks for your free classes , I will study cut for sure .Have a wonderful Sunday .
Jeven - this film is spectacular on so many levels. The location is obviously incredible (makes me sooo anxious to get back into the Aussie Outback); but the careful editing, the compositions, camera movements; even the deliberate inclusion of mic wind buffeting - it all adds up to an emotional experience that's tremendously rewarding. I definitely want to see how you put this together (much like the awesome Alaska video), and how you much of it you had to capture on the fly versus stopping/staging/shooting. This was mesmerising, Jeven. Bravo.
You still have plenty of time Russ! I retired for a year at age 58 and my son and I made a 4-month camping trip across America and to Alaska after he got his undergraduate degree in college. (No drones then though.) Then I went back to work for 5 years. I took another year off, then worked 2 years, and retired for good. My only regret is that i didn't have a drone sooner, and that I worked that last 2 years, however I have camped in some form and have thousands of photos from every state, Ireland, mainland Europe, Panama, and Australia. I don't say this to brag as I would classify us as middle, middle class but I grew up camping and made it my first priority after God, family, and it was part of my love of country. You will make it happen when you are ready, and age doesn't have to stop you, even if you become handicapped!
You captured the feel of the journey and told a story without a word. Well done! Utah is so beautiful! Words and not even video/photos do it justice. It's a place that must be experienced in person to truly appreciate.
The content and format for this video is perfect for a path to a meditational chill. Very soothing to watch and listen to. All of your work is amazing. This piece brings to the aspiring videographer so many excellent examples of back lighting, fore lighting, reveal, motion enhancement and composition it could well be the foundation for a master class. Well done Jeven as with all of your work. Most of all thank you for sharing this awesome adventure. Interestingly one of my favorite shots is the bit of you squatting down controller in hand with total concentration on getting the shot. It shows so much of what it takes to “get the shot”. Cheers
I love the telling the story….without “telling” a story!! Thanks!! Would love to know the how to on these types of videos! Thanks for sharing!! My goal is to go overlanding in Utah! Great video!!!
What I love from this video is your zen approach, the calm way of adventure and no words, because it speaks by itself. It was really a challenge a 5 day shooting facing the light available but in the end...it's just great! I miss doing this in Morocco with my friends since the country has been closed for nearly 2 years. Congrats Jeven
Jeven Dovey I have no words for it. This was the most captivating adventure video that I have seen in 2021. All scenes were absolutely captivating. The drone shot were perfect. The story started with 4 dudes. Cool and calm. The landscapes were super stunning. The food, camping and trip was telling the perfect story. Well done. Much love from South Africa Jay
I enjoy living vicariously through you!!! I am new to drone filmmaking and only wish I had been doing this on all my amazing adventures when I was younger. I traveled the world to so many great places and adventures. Now I am an old man with nothing but great memories. I look forward to more great adventures from you and reliving my past!!! Thank you for this video,
As a Jeep and Mavic 3 owner, I clicked on this video. Your cinematic skills, story telling skills, drone footage, and editing, are all excellent. You've got this RUclips thing nailed. iled
Great video. My wife would not let me drive to places like that cliff!! The variety of the shots makes the video. The ground based shots, the presence of people and vehicles mixed in with the aerial clips together with the simple shots of the trucks and the campfire and the cooking pot holds the viewers attention. I watched the whole video without skipping forward! I don't generally do that as many drone videos just consist of long aerial shots which become quite boring after a few minutes! Variety is the key to a successful video. The human content is just as important as the aerials. The trucks and the human presence in the landscape all add to this as well as the drama of taking a truck along a difficult rocky track. Well done Jeven. Excellent video
Well done Jeven !!!! You did a great job of telling your story without needing any voiceover. When done right they are great to watch and you accomplish that.
Javen, a brilliant story without words .... I love these off-road trips because I am an ex-owner of a Toyota HDJ 80 and I know very well what it is to pack all the necessary things in a car and just go away ... these are unforgettable memories .... gj big thumbs up ....
I loved both the Alaska one and hearing about your issues. Being a software developer, what happened is totally normal in product development. Thanks for your time and effort to help develop this new DJI product. On the Utah video, I found it very peaceful and enjoyable. Sometimes it is nice not to hear dialog but feast on the visual and music and enjoy the thoughts and emotions that come watching it. I hope you do more of these kinds of videos. Thanks for your work and in sharing both with us!!!
I am proud of you brother! Keep it up! Amazing production. I’m am glad you are living the life you deserve. That is exactly what I want to be doing. Count your blessings, there is more to come.
The more drawn out is cool. I would like to see just a tad bit of drama me personally but very well done. There is absolutely nothing wrong with changing it up. Look at all the equipment you get to try out. Now you have your favorites, boom, create the masterpiece….. in which you did.
Jeven this is so AWSOME!! Landscapes are fantastics, Jeeps and overland and rooftop tent is what I do too.. the film is just epic, I love so much this "silent" story telling... You simply let the images speak for you! keep on like this
I live in central Utah. Utah has some of the best and diverse places to visit. Like you said, turn a corner and the landscape changes. The videos - I personally liked both of these styles. Your vlog style I like because of the the story, information, explaining and footage. The footage set to music I like because it puts me in a place where I can relax and just watch, it’s more emotional to take in. I like both styles. I have my thoughts, but which one is harder to produce?
This style is harder to produce because it takes more time setting up all the shots and creating sequences that will cut together. However, I think blending vlogs with this style is the way to go. Get a mix of the visual experience with also some vlog moments that give more context and tell a different side of the story
The description says epic. I think is also outstanding and impressive. I love the part when you guys are eating together as old buddies and friends sharing stories. I used to be a Boy Scout back in mid 80’s and for me it was the best of times. Singing and sharing around a campfire was simply priceless. As an outdoor photographer, I was inspired by the books of late Galen Rowell’s Mountain Light and Vision. His use of extensive use of various Nikon lenses in landscapes, specially a Nikon 24mm with Fuji Velia 50 slide film was truly evocative. Now we have digital cameras and drones. Truth is we have more images now than in the past but the quality of the images and sense of the place has gone a lot lower quality. I love your videos but there is room for improvement. I know that you are at the mercy of the weather and sometimes high contrast images are simply not possible or very hard to achieve. But for me one of the reasons for driving around the desert, is to be able to watch a starry sky in a virtually pitch dark night. I would like to watch a video when suddenly is stopped by a “camera click sound” where it highlights the top image of the place. A night picture where it shows both the open landscape and it shows both lots of stars and the Milky Way will be something really memorable and worth of a high priced enlargement! Just take a look at Galen Rowell’s Rainbow over the Potala Palace or Star Trails over Kang Rimpoche ( Mt. Kailash) and you’ll see what I am talking about. Thanks so much for reading my post and more thanks for sharing this awesome video. I feel really inspired to make one of my own!!!
Moab is an incredibly special place to me. The place where I had a coming of “spiritual age”, if you will. I’ve aspired, for years, to create a film similar to this, including and focusing on the places where I “woke up” so to speak …. This film has just pushed inspirational buttons for me. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art.
Love it ❤! We have toooo.... many talking heads! The emersion experience is a lot more import through visuals and sound. I have been following you for awhile and looking forward to more projects like this. You told a story with out many words which brought a lot more emotion to the experience. Thank you for the excellent footage and information you bring to the community!!!
Masterpiece. I like both styles, but I think this was a great approach for this particular story/video. With landscapes like these, sometimes it’s best to just let God do the talking.
Now those are some sweet looking overland rigs 😎 Love the way this came together, the music choices really made the experience feel like a cohesive journey!
unbelievable and unforgettable! personally to me, i like your stories and the way you talk an explain, but such video as this one is also cool and admiring!
This video is slam dunk amazing and inspiring! The journey, movement, flow, composition, perspectives, light and music come together beautifully. You not only captured the beauty of Utah, but brought it to the next level. Thank you for harvesting gold and sharing it with us. I totally enjoy your informational videos. Your content is top notch. Please continue to share your vast knowledge and experience. I, however, would love to see more of your "artistic" videos. You are an artist.
I like voice over explanations of what you’re doing and the experiences that you have liked about a particular trip. I usually fast forward when there’s no sound. But that’s just my opinion. Keep up the good work!
Dude! Just came across your channel for the first time trying to learn more about film making to improve my channel. It’s awesome to see someone who’s also into “overlanding” just subscribed and look forward to seeing more outdoor content from you.
Loved it, can see great care was taken in picking the shots. Loved the slider shots from behind rocks to reveal the trucks.Watched it twice and thats saying something.
Amazing video.. Loved the style but happy you are going to do a behind the scenes cut as well.. I love experiencing the audio visual moments and then have you take us through their creation.. Thank you for all your good work.
I think the location lends itself very well to this style of video. I did not miss the voiceover at all. What I did miss in a lot of the scenes was a touch of ambient sound to go along with the music, even if it were just some wind sound, like you had in some of the segments. I think it would have added a some presence, in my opinion. All, in all, I like the format and look forward to seeing more!. Great job, as always. Love your work!
Like several others have mentioned - I like both your typical vlogs and also this more silent scenery type. In fact, just before you started speaking toward the end I thought, this is cool….no one has said a word. That stated, a BTS version where you explain how you accomplished it, would be great! Thank you for putting this video together!
It’s on my list to do some stories like this too. I’ve got the gear and know how but not the time. Kudos to you guys for putting it together. I liked the fact that not every shot was super cinematic as it gave it a rough down to earth feel.
Wow what an incredible landscape and what an incredible video. Really well executed. I do like this style of video but i like you talk videos to. This is my favourite channel at the moment. I made a silent video with my little boy earlier in the year and pretty proud of it. Nice one mate.
This video was great, and absolutely took a lot of effort! I think you could/should use your voice to educate people about leave no trace and protecting these amazing lands! Thanks for being an outdoor enthusiast!!
I did enjoy this video but I do like the other usual video's you do better. This is a nice "change-it-up" video so thank you for sharing. And I do enjoy visiting Utah very much also. Thanks for another great video, it was definitely nice.
Speechless! Jeven, this was just so tasty. I think you captured such a broad illustration of Utah back country. Sure you could have added voice over but I think what you produced left me, and I' sure many that have watched, in a state of wonderment. We all need more art like this, the production quality was so rich. Hats off mate, please keep up your great contributions to this wonderful world of visual production.
Very nice. I like this type of story telling. Quiet is good. I like the way you captured the natural sounds. It's almost like I can hear the footsteps even though they're not there. I love the Moab area and we're headed to Bryce Canyon in May.
That was beautiful, Jeven. I like your tutorials, adventure blogs, etc. And, I loved this one. If you have time to make a video about the process, that’d be great. Keep up the good work.
Jeven, I really like both of your video style; Vlog and awesome video footage set to music. The Vlogs are very informative. The video footage set to music are entertaining and relaxing. One does not always need a talking head to teach or entertain; just watching, analyzing, and learning are good.
Jevin, excellent video. Thanks for sharing. We lived in NM for 10 of the 20 years I was in the Air Force. I miss off roading in the Southwest. Loved all of the 4WD bits. The story telling with no voice over was great. Solid editing. Great shots of the geography. You really captured the expanse of the Utah wilderness. Most people back east where we live (backwoods NY state) have no idea of the grandeur of the West. You nailed it. I’m jealous if that’s where you live. John Hudgins, P4 and Nikon D7000 owner.
This is epic! Would love to see some BTS of how this was put together. As someone that would like that start making videos but way too nervous about being in front of the camera, this style feels like a good starting point.
Excellent video, I really enjoy it, super relaxing with a beautiful views, I thing you should post more of this in the future. Your tutorials and Vlogs have their part too. But seeing a video like this every couple month would be interesting. Good work, regards!!
You have heard this from better and more skilled people than me; but this was a beautiful film in so many ways. And also, I can learn so much from just watching this film. And absolutely, I really, really enjoyed that you “simply” made this fantastic film - no comments and no other purpose (that I know of…) that to tell a story with pictures only. Love what you usually produce, but yes please more of this also😊😊
WOW! so beautiful place👍🏻 and your video is so peaceful and calming👌🏽and of course super AWESOME! love love it, I super enjoyed the watch and will watch again...❤❤❤

This is beyond any Mavic 3 content that I imagine. Kudos! Really enjoyed this
Absolutely superb.....fantastic to watch ....loved this one !!
I loved it! Can not express with words how muchI liked this "Silent movie": enjoyed every view, and the music you selected is just perfect!
This is the kind of content I come here for. More of this please. Such a phenomenal trip!
Wow! Amazing Video Jeven! Beautiful Scenery and Sunsets.
One of the best drone videos i ever watch, please do more like this so we can travel and fly together!
Utah is absolutely gorgeous and so vast! Epic video Jeven! While talking to the camera is great, I really like these non-commentary cinematic video!

Nothing to say, just watch this epic, spectacular, wonderful video and breathtaking landscapes. Thanks for sharing this fabulous journey !
Excellent and, indeed, epic! Variety is the spice of life. Thanks for sharing.
We just got back from exploring Utah as well...epic area for overlanding!
Nature’s art captured on the Mavic 3. Very immersive video. Love all the aerial shots.
I think this type of video is amazing . You tell a story without talking which it’s like a movie A+
I think the location lends itself very well to this style of video. I did not miss the voiceover at all. Love both and that you feature so many drone shots in your videography. ❤️ from Australia 🇦🇺
This was great. I love both styles. It’s given me some ideas for what I might like to do with a trip to Yellowstone in February.
Your job is amazing. You make your Audiences feel, smell, see, … hear.. more .. ❤️ love ❤️ your adventures .
just how amazing the adventure is
This is awesome! I would love to see a BTS of this project from planning to execution!
Wow what an incredible landscape and what an incredible video. Really well executed. I do like this style of video but i like you talk videos to. This is my favourite channel at the moment. I made a silent video with my little boy earlier in the year and pretty proud of it. Nice one mate.
I enjoyed this. Thank for you sharing! So many inspirational shots!
This video was great, and absolutely took a lot of effort! I think you could/should use your voice to educate people about leave no trace and protecting these amazing lands!
Thanks for being an outdoor enthusiast!!
What a beautiful adventure you had in the desert. And video you created was awesome, you told an interesting story with no words. Thanks for sharing.
I did enjoy this video but I do like the other usual video's you do better. This is a nice "change-it-up" video so thank you for sharing. And I do enjoy visiting Utah very much also. Thanks for another great video, it was definitely nice.
What did I think?.... One of the best videos I've ever seen on youTube!! Thank you. You've given me ideas on how to shoot better shots with my drones.
Definitely do more of these videos!!!! Also please do one on the process of making it
Excellent! A place I could never visit at my age. Thanks for letting me ride along!!!
Great way to start my Sunday. Watched it all the way through.
Very nice.
I like this type of story telling. Quiet is good.
I like the way you captured the natural sounds. It's almost like I can hear the footsteps even though they're not there.
I love the Moab area and we're headed to Bryce Canyon in May.

Absolutely Incredible! Thank you friend
Love it. Very much my style. Inspiring from start to finish. The variety of shots made it more epic for me.
A break down follow up video sounds great! This one was awe inspiring!
Nice 'slider' shots!
Alway a pleasure to watch your work!
Great video Jeven....very cinematic and relaxing.....
Great video accompany by wonderful background music, awesome !!
NO WORDS!!! That is my reaction to this video. Absolutely amazing. I can only hope to achieve your level of story telling genius. Thank You!
Absolutely love the video, Jeven. Thank you!
Seriously mate. Insane video !!!!
Absolutely loved it.
Inspiring video. Love the silent story behind it.
what an amazing view of Utah. I wish I could explore it by myself later.
Absolutely awesome! Great job Jeven!
Absolutely fantastic video - great video to watch and lose yourself in - thank you
Jeven, I really like both of your video style; Vlog and awesome video footage set to music. The Vlogs are very informative. The video footage set to music are entertaining and relaxing. One does not always need a talking head to teach or entertain; just watching, analyzing, and learning are good.
Really enjoyed a mindfull and chill video. Still coming back for the 'talkies' too
Such beautiful places and images!
Outstanding job , I absolutely love it.
Dramatic, love it!
No words to describe this... 🧐 Beautiful! 👍
I really enjoyed your trip with all your filmmaking and photography skills . Hope you’ll do more filming of your adventures .
BEAUTIFUL. MESMERIZING.
Pretty amazing footage!! Looks like an awesome Jeep trip. Also looks like a lot of work with all the shots, drone footage etc. Very nice!
This is epic! Would love to see some BTS of how this was put together. As someone that would like that start making videos but way too nervous about being in front of the camera, this style feels like a good starting point.
Beautiful drone shots, epic scenery. Great video
Excellent video, I really enjoy it, super relaxing with a beautiful views, I thing you should post more of this in the future. Your tutorials and Vlogs have their part too. But seeing a video like this every couple month would be interesting. Good work, regards!!
Incredible! More of this!
