Excellent work. Question please: how many kms on the bike, and what could be the reason(s) for this damage?

I actually don’t remember the mileage but I believe it was under 10k miles. The damage was due to rider error unfortunately.

any advice for someone wanting a career in this?

I started off as an apprentice in main dealership (Honda) and I worked my way up from there. Starting with education is always great. But if you can get good work experience under your belt, that will be very beneficial too!
