The scenario with the waiter at the cafe actually happened to me - except I didn’t have cash 😭😭😭 I had to leave my passport, keys and expensive bag with the owner while I spent an hour running around trying to get my card to work in the atms 🙃🙃🙃 DON’T FORGET CASH
I think every Viennese has a similar story to tell 😂 in the past there were even less ATMs around. So you had to go for a decent walk to find the next ATM.
We'll be visiting Vienna in 10 days and I was actually wondering if I needed to pack an umbrella as well. You're right about n.4 basic medication. I visited the city in 2019 and had fever on a Sunday morning. I walked a lot even with 38°c fever looking for an open pharmacy. Thanks for this helpful video. :)
Nice video ~ it will help many who plan to visit Vienna and Austria ~ the shoes pointer is definately N°1 ❤ cash is used in most countries but far less so only in a handful of countries like for example UK or Sweden - as much as crypto will be pushed again end of 24 into 25, at the end of the day, cash will always be around for people's freedom of choice to use... Vienna is definately a city to explore and enjoy.
Really informative video. I really appreciate your good work for providing information about Vienna. Although life in Vienna seems bit balanced according to all information provided in your videos. I hope I am not wrong. Thank you 😊
Consider yourself an “advanced traveler” if you find these tips basic. You don’t wanna know how often we shared our power bank and umbrella with friends and families visiting Vienna/Europe for the first time.

Thank you for watching!
We will be there on December and planning to stay in innerstadt, any recos for hotels
I would recommend a raincoat because most of the time it is too windy for an umbrella
Very true! Good point thanks
What brand of raincoat are you both wearing? Are they any good?
I‘m quite happy with mine. It’s waterproof and thin. Perfect for shoulder seasons and rainy summer days.

Lord. Most basic travel video there is. Did you ran out of ideas? Or do you genuinely believe people travel without power banks in 2024?
