Hey you can't just continually rename your video to match the current year to get more views. This video was actually made in 2023, that's so misleading 😂 unsubscribed!
Fair point! However, our costs have only changed by 2-3% since we recorded the video, so we decided to keep it as is. The big jump in the cost of living happened before we filmed, and since then, it has remained relatively stable. That said, we respect your decision to unsubscribe 🙏🏽
just few tips: 1. Parking in eurovea is free for 5 hours only during weekends. Durning week its just 3h. 2. If you dont want to buy Slovak Vignette you can to get off the highway in Kittsee (maybe 10min longer drive). When you enter Bratislava dont worry about highway. Highways in the city are for free. 3. For me is Luculus iceream the bust but i didnt have that one you showed yet.
@KhyatiPuria Servus and danke for all the wonderful information! As you have lived in Vienna for over 30 years, I must ask for some advice. Can you please recommend some districts where I might be able to purchase (or build) a detached house (as opposed to an apartment) that is close to transportation (like within around 4 or 5 blocks away from transport)? I have a family of 4 (plus my mother stays with me occasionally, so sometimes 5!) and my kids are (or will soon be) old enough for university when I move. Eventually, I would get a car so a parking space or garage would be useful as well. I will not have any purchasing restrictions as we are recent new Austrian citizens now looking to move from Chicago. I also looked around Parndorf and Neusiedl am See but I want to avoid a flood area / high water table where a basement might have seepage of water. Budget is about ~€250K-500K (hopefully lower end of that but I know houses are quite expensive). Finally, if building is an option for me, do you know who some reputable builders / construction companies are? I would love to live in Vienna but I am ok with commuting about up to an hour to Vienna for work if I can get to transportation nearby since I will not have a car right away and need to get established with a job first. Thank you again!
I give a tip only when the waiters are polite, kind, smiling, helpful, willing and when the food and service is good. That's my rule, because that's my money. I really don´t care their expectations.
very good. Please suggest low budgets hostels for night stay
Maybe somebody else has more expertise on this 🙏🏽
Hey do i need to verify my OBB ticket before boarding?
No, you buy it already validated. That’s why it’s important to choose the correct start time during checkout
Thx for the video. Im glad, you choose Austria, we need more people like you. Viel Spass noch!
Wachau is NOT part of Vienna.
No it’s not…I’m pretty sure we didn’t say that it is 😅
Are trains operational on Sundays within Vienna City and to Vienna Airport ?
Yes they are!
From Bangladesh ❤
Hello Bangladesh! 🙋🏻♂️
Does the train have WC?
Yes
really thorough video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi there! If you have a reservation at Cafe Central, is it considered rude if you walk past the line and just go to the door?
No it’s just a sign that you’re a better planner 😅
Hi! Could you explain how is the S7 train used from the airport? If you have bought a 7 day Vienna ticket do you need to buy another ticket for the S7 to go to the city center from the airport? Thanks in advance! Best wishes!
Hi 👋🏽 yes you need a separate 2,10€ ticket from Vienna city center to the airport as it leaves the “Vienna zone”
Amazing video. I have a little question- if I buy the weekly ticket in vienna, and I want to go from the airport to the city center: I need to buy only the 1.5 Euro ticket outside vienna? Because I already have the inside vienna ticket
Correct…however the ticket price has slightly increased. It’s 4,50 in total. 2,40 for within Vienna + 2,10 for outside of Vienna
@ thank you very much!
How long does it take to go by ÖBB? Kind of an important factor.
22minutes from Wien Mitte to the airport. I would suggest to watch the full RUclips video to get a full picture!
We will be having a long connecting flight in vienna. Can we go out the airport and go back before our next flight
Yes the S7 takes you directly from the airport to Wien Mitte and back! For more frequent intervals you could also take the CAT
Can we go out in the airport to stroll around in vienna. Because or connecting flight is very long
Yes it takes you 22min and 4,50 Euros with the regional train S7 to get to Wien Mitte
Our connecting flight is over 15 hrs. Can we go out of the airport on the near areas?
Yes you can: If you want to visit the viennese city center, you can get there within approx. 45 minutes: Take the train to the station "Wien Mitte" and from there the underground line U3 in the direction Ottakring to the station Stephansplatz (St. Stephens square). Take the escalator and you will be greeted by the magnificent St. Stephens Cathedral. If you want to have stroll through the city center, my personal recommondations would BE the Cathedral, the Hofburg and the Ringstraße (with the museums, the parliament and the city hall). Cheers from Vienna, I hope you will enjoy our wonderful city!
Can u pls make a video explaining how crossing road works and small minute things on the street, like simple rules and how to drink water from that water box in street that only ppl in veinna know.. So that new ppl coming to Vienna will understand easily..
don't worry about stuff like this, it's not on another planet and therefor 100% self-expainatory. Vienna is very tourist friendly and every public water you find is best drink water, since Vienna gets it from a pipeline to the alps. If you don't know, aks the next person. In the worst case you're getting ignored...
When moving from India to austria for long term work, will airbnb be allowed to be shown as proof of accommodation for visa purpose? Can u pls let me know?
Probably not, as you need a “Meldezettel” from the government - which is a proof of housing. And you only get it with a valid rental contract.
And the Vienna masters are back with yet another amazing video.
🙏🏽🙏🏽
A nice selection of locations. My only addition would be, after going to St Stephan's Cathedral, spending 30 minutes checking out the Vergilius Chapel accessible from the U1 station just outside St Stephan's main entrance.
Great input! Thanks! We also have to check it out ourselves! 😅
Whoever plans to be like "wooow, they gotta be in such a goood mood waking up in this city every day!" vs guy from Vienna: F u, i'm grumpy in the morning!🖕 20 minutes lateer... "Okaay, my beloved Vienna does make me feel SO MUCH better as soon as i leave my flat" 😄🤗🥳❤
It's a fact. A walk through Kärntnerstraße or Graben is like therapy :) except on Saturdays 😂
@@KhyatiPuria i'm looking at the clock tower and tree tops at mexicoplatz, the Reichsbrücke and the "New Jersey" skyline on the wrong side of the danube + island from my kitchen - next thing is grabbing a coffee and my bike, get a käsekreiner on the way and ride along the danube with nature, grafittis and the river around, then go swiming there, then back and take my BMW to have some fun up the Kahlenberg - Then i'm rdy for PPL, haha. So the nature this city offers 10min from the center is what's making me rdy to deal with over 2 Mio PPL surrounding me every day - truely no other city can offer this!
over a half million views 🤯
As I am travelling next month in a group of 4, was really looking for something like this video Kudos ❤
That's amazing to hear! Hope you will have a great time!
Eagerly waiting for this 👍👍👍
are you a fan of them or Vienna? Actually i'm learning about my city from them, even thou i'm living here since 25 year, so it's hard to tell :)
I am their biggest fan for life.
@ Okay, they're friends of vienna so i guess we're kinda fine, hahaha
Hello, Deb here from India. We r visiting vienna next month. Have a plan to visot Bratislava too. Just wanna know if i wish to book bus tkt instead of train to bratislava for a day trip do we get similar offer like free public transportation at Bratislava? Actualy o tried booking thru flixbus, charing around €14 for a rounf trip but didnt see any such memtion about free public transportation like in train ticket u showed. Hence the query. Awaiting for your kind response.
I don’t think so. As far as I know that’s only a benefit of the Bratislava ticket. But I’m pretty sure a daily pass in Bratislava also just costs couple of euros. So you might end up paying the same if you found a cheaper flixbus ride
amazing advice, I learned a lot
Glad it was helpful!
ok im a waiter and i will tell you now what about you are serving 20 people table , you dou wine service , you are asking them evry 3 minutes if evrything its fine , taking maksimum care , they told me that one from the group had birthday id go to the kitchen ans took a cake free of charge and found some candles made a suprise he was wery happy and all of them , and i made jokes and evrything , when the time has come for the bill , the bill was 1200 eu and they paid with card and they leave i was excpecting some tip , there was 3 eu tip on the table :) so thats alsoo fair ?

The good brownies crispy so far is from Lemonilo, so maybe get this one the next time.
Will definitely check it out! Thanks!
Hi Khyati and Puria. Thank you for making informative videos about Vienna. Today I saw you at the Max Amini show. Wanted to meet you but as it was crowded at the end so couldn't. Hope to meet you sometime.
Appreciate it! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 That would have been amazing! Hopefully, we’ll get another chance to meet!
the windfarms damage the view of the beautiful landscape tremendously
and they also drive austrian whales crazy.
In 2019, I stayed in an Airbnb near Venediger Au in Leoplodstadt. It was really convenient being a 5 minute walk from Praterstern making visiting family in Großfeldsiedlung and Leopoldau (U1), and friends in Aspern (U2) and Brigittenau (S-Bahn) very straightforward. Also the added bonus of being close to one of the few supermarkets open on Sundays.
Thanks for sharing!
Lauda air plane was so beautiful♥️
I Want to travel around Austria. Which is best way ticket for it?
Check out Eurrail or Sparschiene tickets!
Please make videos on moving to Vienna with kids : If could please talk about : daycare, schooles, and education in general Best family friendly districts Best clinics and hospitals Where to stay as retired expat
How to get deivers license in vienna and buy a vehicle? Can you please do a video. Thanks 🙏
Aussie here and even though I can't speak German, I have have never had an issue using Vienna's public transport when visiting the in-laws many times over the past 30 years. The biggest improvement was the 31 day e-tickets that started, I believe, in 2023. I ordered my tickets before leaving Australia. They are better than a monthly ticket as you decide the starting date and the ticket works for 31 days after that date. While I had them on my phone, I also printed them out as a backup. I often used the S-Bahn within Vienna as it runs predominantly above ground so it is a good way to see a lot of the city.
Aussie here. When I visit Vienna, I look forward to the Schweizerhaus Stelze (Prater) and Serbischer Karpfen at Gasthaus Binder in Orth an der Donau. However my favourite restaurant is the Oberlaa next to Kurpark Oberlaa.
I remember a Viennese friend warning me about booking my Airbnb in Leopoldstadt close to the Prater. Not sure what they were on about as I felt perfectly safe the whole time. I get the feeling that as my friend was older, he was remembering how the area was in the 1980s when it was a big black market location. I also walked the Reumannplatz / Keplerplatz area a couple of times back in 2019. I went in the daytime and felt completely safe.
Very helpful video.Thank you for your tips.I've just subcsribed I intend to visit Vienna end of January Can you tell me where can I have a meal with deer meat in Vienna. Thanks
Czn you make a video on dress required
Do you edit on your own? Or hire professional editors?
Thank you for sharing!!! We are thinking of traveling in November
Planning to visit Christmas markets? If yes, make sure you come in the second half of November as most of them open during that time.
Great video as usual... Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful. Thank you very much!
We are coming Christmas 2025. I notice the the of Wien is shown. Our resort is in Wien. Is this a good location?
Which part of Vienna are you planning to stay?
Magical ❤
If you want a good croissant, why don’t you just go to París? I don’t understand flying abroad just to try the same?
We're glad food doesn't know borders :)
