"Chrissy, this is for you."
I will never get over how Chrissy was killed off too soon. She and Eddie together were amazing.
I read that they shot the scene where Chrissy died before they shot the drug deal in the woods, and ended up regretting that they killed her off so quickly because the actors had such good chemistry.

At least he played kickass metal with creepy fantasy background before he died. Two of his favorite things in his life. Dark DnD type world plus metal!🤘🏾

When he clenches his face and headbangs during the ‘Master! Master!’ part, it’s something we’ve all done before and still do every time I hear that song
Fun fact: The Duffer brothers casted Joseph Quinn before they knew he could play guitar. He was very modest and said he’s “pretty good” at playing guitar and spent hours perfecting this scene. So Joseph Quinn is quite literally shredding Metallica in this scene! Edit: I was not aware of the time of commenting that Joseph also had a hand double. But he is playing in a majority of this clip, except the solo!
wait he was the one playing for real???? this is more impressive
He's not actually playing it. Some parts maybe. But the guitar track was actually provided by Rob Trujillo's (Metallica's bassist) son Ty.
@@RylanInChains still helps he knows how and where to position his hands on the guitar instead of faking it like most people would.

Fun fact: Master of puppets being an anti drug song and Chrissy coming to Eddie in the first place to get drugs makes it the perfect tribute for her. This is pure genius!

It's also fitting since he is manipulating the bats to come to him and Dustin instead of the rest almost as if he is some kind... Master of Puppets.

Eddie The freak Munson, who died protecting a town that called him a murderer. Our hero. He deserved so much better
DRAWING STRANGER THINGS CHARACTERS... | IT'S HERE ON THE CHANNEL !!!!!
The writing of the line “Chrissy, this is for you” hits so hard on so many levels. A nod to someone who gave a nod to him.
Eddie’s character is so brave and genuine the entire time we know him, just nobody tells him. He could have easily made himself a victim and made Chrissy into a bad memory but he dedicates this song to her even while Chrissy’s boyfriend and the whole town believes Eddie killed her and is hunting him down - he even keeps his Hellfire shirt on! This to me was “show don’t tell” he was still Hellfire’s leader no matter what anyone believed, because they showed him respect.
The other main characters don’t listen to Eddie’s music but he gives Steve his Dio vest to wear telling Steve he’s “metal”, almost to say Steve is brave and he wants to be brave too so he dresses Steve like him. Eddie also tries offering his tapes to play for Nancy to get her out of Vecna’s trance because to him it’s beautiful music.
He was too old for highschool and was known as “the freak” but Chrissy (the cool kid’s girlfriend) remembered Eddie’s band and supported his music, so for his last metal set he dedicates it to her who truly understood and supported him. What a show, so much happens in my mind between the actions characters take, wonderful writing.
this is a perfect interpretation, thank you for sharing :)

It’s a shame only a few people truly knew who Eddie really was. Instead Hawkins knows him as a cult leader and a monster. The scene with Dustin giving Eddie’s uncle his guitar pick brought me to tears. Dustin was the one who had the most history with Eddie and seeing him tell his uncle how he was a hero broke me. Rip the legend, gone but not forgotten
Upside down with bolts of red lightning heavy rain demigod bat's while blasting the sickest guitar rift in history
Eh, live for yourself, not for others. Don't validate yourself through other's perception of you. Eddie probably did this instinctively and was likely happier than his peers who looked down on him.
Yeah that was really really hard to watch. Got me good
Totally bro, too unfair final for him 😢
It actually enhances his character to be honest. He helped despite everyone thinking he's a murderer. Definitely a well written character.
Most metal ever!!!!!
This is one of the best scenes in a show that will leave forever 🔥🔥🔥
Fun fact: Eddie didn't die from those bats, his back snapped from carrying the entire season
😂😂

Even if it’s stolen or copy pasted or funny or sad, u can’t deny it it’s just soooo true
He has non scenes at all during 3 or 4 épisodes
You pair Dustin with anyone and the chemistry between the characters is always on point!
He really compliments his co actors!
Indeed ❤️❤️
This scene was legendary the same time I cried when Eddie died 🥺
Its true
Well that’s good cause he’s turning into a ugly adult.
Him, and Barb are 2 of the best character loved by fans out of the main characters. Wish we can see more character like them in season 5.
Eddie was rock Evey wher 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm jealous that Dustin got to personally witness the most epic shred in t.v. history. Eddie was a legend, and legends never die. I hope that Eddie's name gets cleared in season 5, and that Hawkins builds a monument in his honor. And I'm glad Argyle will be returning as well.
where did they say argyle was returning?
I just want Eddie back man
Dustin also had to watch Eddie die in his arms... so... I dunno how lucky he was.

I wanted Dustin to be on drums as accompaniment, rather than just nodding along
So happy to see metal music finally being played in tv shows - this stuff was epic 💥
True
It's a shame that Linkin Park were not around in the 80's......Chester (RIP) would have suited the scene.
This was the dream of all metal MTVs back in the 80s....
I have never watch stranger things, but that solo guitar just made this series even more EPIC,🔥🔥🎸
The fact that Joseph Quinn ACTUALLY played the song makes it even better. Eddie went full shred! (yes the solo I believe was someone else for the close up shots but still, there’s video of him actually playing that damn song)
Fun fact, the solo close up shots were actually the son of Metallica's bassist !!
He played part of the song and had a stand in play parts of it he couldn’t do
But it was still awesome
@@8unnylover Tye, like his father, fucking amazing
you can hear when hes guitar kicks in and he and tye dont play for long time. its easy to hear its the original guitar track also the solo.
I honestly can’t think of a character who would top Eddie before or even after season 4. Everything about this man was executed with perfection!
He died like a fucking idiot lol. This show is absolute trash, they just introduce new "cool" characters at the beginning of the season so they can have a sad scene at the end when they kill them. Absolute mediocre Netflix show xD

And then they pointlessly killed him off...

This scene was the coolest I have ever seen in stranger things .
