For all these theories people are commenting about why they didn’t do this or that, do you really think the armed guards on both ends are just gonna stand there and let them “cheat?” No, they can’t hold on to the sides, no they can just tightrope walk across, no they can’t just kick the glass out with their feet. They would just be shot. The makers wanted it to be a game of random chance, and they definitely aren’t gonna let anyone have an advantage or “cheat” their way across.

If he succeeds. 2nd player will pass him and continue with the 2nd row of tiles. Then the 3rd player for the 3rd row. When all players are on the bridge. The last player walks to the front and either crosses it or continues. That way all players have the same risk.

They probably would've rigged it to him either knowing the path or put him at last to have higher chance of winning

I think the only time the old man was truly in danger was during the tug of rope. I believe in the first game there were no censors around him and in the second game surely the guards wouldn't kill him like they didn't during the marble game, so technically the only dangerous game was the tug of rope but even thenif he died he would have died doing what he loved and he was close to death anyway.

I don’t think you’d be able to get the leverage on breaking glass necessary to jump. You need a solid surface to push off of. Even if you were somehow able to time it so you can push off the glass as it shatters (which is basically anime physics at that point), the downward momentum would eat up most of the force and you’d barely get anywhere.
