Love how metallica is embracing this. They deserve the new generation of fans, and the new generation of fans deserved to be introduced to metal
And Lord Eddie deserves the praise.
Does Metallica even need a new generation of fans, since metal genre is automatically associated with Metallica :)
Yeah there was time were they selective and protective of who used their music. I think they loosened up a bit over the last decade. But this was strategically genius. 🤘🏻 For my 12 yr old to admit that these guys are legit and at the least relevant when ive been trying to tell her, her whole life lmao!
They are embracing it... because it's making them piles of cash 😂👌🏻

i love how Joseph’s face lights up when they ask to sign the guitar, i’m so glad he finally got the guitar, he looks amazing 🎸🫶🏻🤘🏼
Sii
Same here, that was Joseph's inner child saying YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😄😄
Guitar is just guitar, but when they sign the guitar...it's Treasure
Came looking for this comment! He took it off so fast!
'Yes! Would you mind?'
He got so excited, bless him!
The fact that the producers of the show refused to give Quinn the guitar but Metallica made and gifted him an exact replica of it speaks alot of volumes.
not to mention, THEY SIGNED IT
@@makidonaldslife meets Art!!!! ❤🤘🤘🤘🤘
Imagine Metallica giving you a free signed guitar and telling you to come around whenever you want😭
I can never imagine such a blessing in my wettest dream. So glad this dude made it!
I would die if that happens to me
@@mayravenscroft1199 bro, you wouldn't handle the 80s. but yeah you probably would die.
but he really deserves that! ))))
awesome
1:29 - They even got the Hellfire Club logo embroidered into the guitar case!! Such an incredibly kind and thoughtful gift
Likely came from bc rich the guitar maker. Theyve made thosecguitars forever And likely. Have a "special eddie munson edition" coming for 5 k.
Whoa i didn't notice that before! Thanks for pointing it out! 😁 that's so cool!!
thanks i didnt see that the first time !
Oh yeah I didn’t even notice that
@@KickedMangoStudios
BC Rich were the quintessential guitar brand for many bands of extreme music in the 80s and 90s, if for nothing else, the looks alone.
That model, the Warlock, is the most famous one in the BCR catalog, but they also have the Mockingbird and the Stealth, which are also very out there is terms of looks.
Personally, i never liked them, they look cool, but i'd never use them other than display pieces.
The most extreme shape i'd be willing to use is the Explorer, which was made famous by Gibson, but these days many other brands have a model with similar shape.
i just KNOW joseph's inner eddie munson is absolutely fucking screaming his head off rn
THIS. IS. MUSIIIIIICCC!!!
His inner Eddie Munson is his true self. He seems like a metalhead at heart
Oh hell yeah! Joseph deserved every second of this. That scene will go down as one of the most iconic music moments in history! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

The face he makes when they offer to sign it and he's stumbling trying to get the guitar off, that's the most real thing I've seen in a while
I honestly didn't notice and had to go back and watch again - you're absolutely right!
Joseph Quinn played Eddie Munson really well. He deserves all the love appreciation and hype he’s getting plus more! I’m so glad he met Metallica! He looked so happy when James said they would sign his guitar!
Joseph's reaction to that would have been mine too. Metallica has been the soundtrack to a lot of our lives and to have the offer of the autograph without asking.... Mind would have been blown.
yeah eddie munson plays joseph quinn really well
"we could sign it"
The way his face lit up was awesome and adorable as well as the way he kneeled down as he was given the guitar was priceless

:D :D :D "would you mind?!?!" -- how much is that guitar worth now?!! OMG!!!

Quinn did an epic job as an actor. He was, in a sense, what every metal fan always wanted to be. A bad ass guitar performance in the upside down.
The first thing i thought when I saw Eddie's guitar was I hope he plays some serious metal in the upside down. I was not disappointed!
@@cardula7 Hell yeah man!
This makes it 10 times better since Joseph Quinn didn’t get to keep the guitar from the show
I KNOW RIGHT
fuck you netflix now joseph has a SIGNED warlock guitar
hopefully he couldn’t keep it cause they aren’t done with it lmao. he better come back season 5 😂
@@32hollow I doubt it

The funny thing is that it was probably a pretty penny before too, but the brand name is the cheapest thing on it now lmao
@William Thompson BEFORE it was "Eddies" and before the autographs, it was a 5k guitar 😂... thats insane.. NOW?! Youd have to sell a child just for the pick
NOT
You just know he had to be literally shaking when they asked him to play with them lmao. Had to be the most nerve-racking (& exciting) moment in his life
You can just see how concentrated he was while playing to not fuck it up. I hope he was still able to enjoy it a bit!

@@paramagician you’re entitled to your feelings of course. Either way, I bought Puppets on record when it came out, and Kill em All was my first Metallica album I bought and it was on cassette. Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
I love how Joe's face lights up when James casually says "Well we could sign it..." 🥰
The Eddie’s scene playing Master Of Puppets is insane🤘🏻
It's not that great, IMO. There are way better covers on here that don't get the props they deserve. Just because this is in a popular show, that's not even that good, is why it's getting so much praise.
I would prefer seek and destroy instead of master ......fits best with the action

This brings me joy on so many levels. I found Metallica for a song they did for Mission Impossible called "I Disappear" when I was 10. I love that this is going to introduce a new wave of younger people to Metallica and metal in general. Metallica has always been the G.O.A.T for a reason.
I was already a huge fan (became on in the mid-90s in my teens), but I went to see MI2 in theaters, SPECIFICALLY to hear that song in the end credits lol. Good song.
Most respect for the actor for actually playing it and not acting like it, and Metallica as always the best band ever!!!!

You’re lucky to have experienced Cliff! I’m only 21 and love these guys. Really wish I was around in the 80s 🥲
That's actually pretty impressive, considering he nailed the timing and the sound as well. Good to see these guys getting on this well together.
I loved that episode so much. Im so glad you guys collaborated with stranger things ❤ love you guys
Very good to see this interaction between Metallica and this great actor, who, for sure, has a great future ahead of him, besides playing the guitar well. Hugs from Portugal. 🇵🇹🤘🏻
Seeing Eddie Munson on the huge stage backdrop brought chills down my spine!
The fact they admired his playing was everything. He was so star struck. The gift was epic. He will never forget this.
Good to see the boys show pride in something like this! Metallica forever 🤘🤘
Joseph and Metallica= Masterpiece
Awesome to introduce Metallica to an entire different generation. I am 52 and was in high school with this song came out. Loved Metallica ever since. Even my kids know the words from our family road trips.
Dude this makes me so happy to see. And I loved that Metallica said Yes to stranger things using this song in the show. This means theres a whole new wave of fans of their music that will now come along because of this show. Some bands don't understand that if they're not relevant to the next generation, their music will fade into obscurity (I'm talking to you Beatles and The Eagles just to name a few).
My 9 year old has been listening to this song ever since we finished watching the entire series a week ago (first time for him). Made me very happy to see him embrace a song from my youth. That’s when you know your music has impact.
Damn, you can see how genuinely happy he is to meet these legends!
This makes my mama heart so happy. I’m proud to have introduced my 4 year old son an 13 year old stepdaughter to the kings through Stranger Things. Thank y’all for keeping metal great. We love y’all!
Metallica just being the coolest band. I had the privilege of seeing them live at Woodstock 99 and their was no other performers that compared. I am biased because I grew up listening to them but they didn’t come across as to be just pushing the show along but rather seemed to love what they were doing. They just kept jamming and jamming. R.I.P. Mr Burton

I'm so happy for Joseph and so proud of him, very happy and very excited for this beautiful meeting of one of my favorite bands and my favorite actor, I love you guys so much 💕
I am so happy to see metalheads being friendly and opened to meet new people in the community! We need people that will continue the work of many years of many musicians. All of those that are unhappy just want to feel cooler and edgier than others, when it's not really a competition, but rather sharing a passion in music
It's also not the same fucking thing as people who were there for the music and then people who listen to one song because of a stupid tv show and all of a sudden call themselves fans. Who do you think started the "cooler and edgier" attitude? Metallica did. When they were trying to make it they kept telling the interviewers how they're so different from the other bands because they don't wear makeup or use synthesizers or do anything radio-friendly. That's the whole point of it. Metallica is supposed to be unsafe, unfriendly music for the depressed angry people. Apart from maybe Venom, they were one of the original extreme heavy metal bands. Was never supposed to be welcoming, happy music for the pop masses.
James is such a humble guy. It seemed like he was so excited to meet Joseph than Joseph meeting Metallica
James is a badass.
Jason Newsted: 🫥
Imagine a 45 years old metalhead and Stranger Things' big fan like me, watching Joseph playing Master of Puppets in the Upside Down... Oh man, there are no words to express how empowdered I felt at the moment... and, of course, I couldn't resist singing and air guitarring the song despite the fact it was almost 3 PM and I knew it would annoy my neighbours. Glorious moment, glorious scene. Thanks to the Duffer Brothers for writing that scene.
0:46 I just realized james has a black snakeskin snakebyte( That joseph is playing here.) He's also got a yellow/brown one, but I never saw the black one.
Way to freakin go Joseph Quinn! Earning huge Metallica entrance! Many of us lowly metal heads are both really psyched for you and very jealous at the same time! ROCK ON!
I'm 45 years old now and have been listening to Metallica since the 90s. It's good to be part of the cool kid crew again lol
I love Metallica and love Stranger Things!
It's so platform! Wow.
I love this. Seeing the pure joy on his face when they gave him the guitar!!! And he truly did the piece justice. I’m a long time Metallica fan wanted to learn guitar because of them and Aerosmith growing up. Love seeing the classics introduced to the new generations. 🤘🏽

I am glad to see that Metallica is as happy to have that scene in Stranger Things 4 as I was to watch it (Master of puppets has been my ring tone for years now). The red lightning in the back ground was icing on the cake. During that scene I think I experienced what teen girls experience when they geek out over whatever it is they listen to nowadays.
Been listening to you guys since the 90's, I was born in 86 the same era this show was based on and love this show too, awesome to see this episode bring new fans.
The metallica guys are soo sweet! I went to their show once, it was amazing! Something really crazy happen on their show, a pregnant woman gave birth at the end of the show when they were playng Enter Sandman!
It makes it 10x better that he actually played it. Definitely thought it was just all editing.

Awesome that the guys pulled the scene onto the big screens at the concert. The most metal concert in the history of the world got the audience it deserved. Metallica is a class act!
I go back and watch this video again and again since these times. Metallica is my favorite band since I was little. Joseph Quinn is a great actor that I have followed since Dickensian. I've really known him for a long time as I watch so many period dramas (especially the BBC :D) I'm so happy that he's so famous nowadays. It's amazing how Metallica is hyping and supporting him. He’s just the sweetest boy ever! He deserves everything good coming his way!
When I was a teenager I listened to black album, master of puppets and ride the lightning a lot. Metallica was one of my most favorite bands. Jump forward to now and my musical taste has morphed into a hodge podge of different styles and it had been a long while since I had given metallica a listen. Stranger Things came out and like James said, I was a big fan of the show and it became a catalyst for my 12yr old daughter and I to relate. When I heard Eddie play those first four notes I was hit with a sledgehammer of nostalgia and it was one of the most epic of sensations. I've been bit by the 'tallica bug and went and bought all their albums on vinyl. Thank u Metallica and Thank U Stranger things.

That video put a smile on my face… That must have been so awesome. That was easily the best scene ever in that show, and having Metallica sign his guitar, that was great!
It's incredible just how kind and cool Metallica are! Amazing stuff.
I love this video, I've watched it about seven times and I still enjoy it

This guy's living our dream and he deserves it!
Bro, this has been a dream of mine since I was a little boy🙏😭. Metallica are just the best.
I know master of puppets on guitar.
Best part of it: he's playing the perfect version that not everyone does (all down picking). Most prefer to play with up and down strokes because it easier to play, but it sounds different. Good job!
James was certainly the king of making his own job harder. Respect regardless.
I got goosebumps when they start the concert with eddie footage and the fans screaming !
Wow, he really has got the chops! Way to go right in front of the boys themselves!
The band managing to get a replica of the guitar from the show when the show didn’t let him keep one from the set is so wholesome. This truly made me smile, but my smile is INCOMPARABLE TO HIS (1:38). He’s over the moon, and so am I for him, that’s a dream!!!
When James offered to autograph the guitar take a look at Joseph's face. That's pure happiness right there.
This is one of the most wholesome moments in internet history and Im proud ive been a part of it! 👊🏻
This video is my new source of dopamine.
I am very happy for Joseph and what he has achieved thanks to his commitment to the role of Eddie. Also, kudos to Metallica for being as sweet and badass as ever.
Yo I came to my first concert here and I had the time of my life! You guys were f***ing awesome on stage and I headbanged so damn hard that my neck is throbbing so thank you guys for and epic performance considering it was my first concert ever. Rock on guys! 🤪🤘
This is awesome! I FINALLY got my 15 year old daughter to let me listen to Metallica in the car!!! Last Friday was her first day of 10th grade and she goes to school about an hour from our house and we jammed out to the Master of Puppets album on our way to school!!! I got my first taste in '84 after my best friend's brother brought a Kill Em All tape back with him from California to Maine and I've been a fan since. Over 20+ live shows, including the San Francisco symphony with my Dad. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
James has such a towering presence. No one exudes masculinity better than him. It’s hard to envision how you would respond in that moment.
But he also has the charisma to quickly break the ice and relieve the awkward anxiety.
