Our Robins here in the UK are extremely territorial, they fight to the death to defend their land and lady

Robins are tiny little birds but they have big personalities, they’re very territorial, we have one in our garden that chased a crow away from its nest!

Every country has its own unique species of animals, insects and birds. Here in New Zealand (Winners of the Americas Cup) we have no predators, if you take humans out of the equation, but a large number of unique birds and insects - Kiwi (of course), Kea, Royal Albatross, Tui, Weka, Tuatara, Weta, Wood pigeon (Kereru) to name just a few. Distinct, the Moa and the largest Eagle in the world - Haast Eagle and the only predator bird of prey back then - it used to hunt the Moa. Hedgehogs, deer, weasels, ferrets, pig, possums, rats are all introduced species, all do harm to the fauna and native forests. I live on a large farm close to the Southern Alps and am lucky enough to see so many native species, unfortunately being deaf I don't hear them, but I know their songs are as pretty as they look

Had to smile over the 'Winners of the Americas cup.' A little like me saying, winners of the WXV rugby.

Hedgehogs are NOT the same as Porcupines. They are much smaller & cute, without the nasty spines. We also have Stoats & Weasels, which are like Pine Martins or Ferrets. We also have Badgers which are not the same as American Badgers. There are also several different types of Deer. The Slow Worm is NOT a snake & it is harmless. We do have one sort of venomous snake, the Adder, but its venom will not kill an adult human, & it mostly is only found in high moorland areas.

Only ever seen one Pine Marten and that was in Thetford forest many years ago and we also had a small colony of black Squirrels living on what is a housing estate in north Cambridge.

Loved the video 🥰 Porcupines are much bigger than hedgehogs, we don't have porcupines in Britain though, at least I've never seen any except in a petting zoo once 😁

No, hedgehogs are very different from porcupines. *** Yes, there are pine martins in N. America, as well as their larger cousins the fishers. Eat a pine cone!? They're carnivores. They eat squirrels and birds. *** Yes we have slow worms here in the states, too. *** And we also have red squirrels.

Red squirrels are everywhere in Scotland, also Count Dankula recently did a report on the red squirrel and says they are making a massive comback due to human intervention, humans laying traps all over the UK to trap grey squirrels and in about 10 years time there will be no more grey squirrels in the UK...only red squirrels.
