Land of Hope and Glory used to be the National Anthem of Great Britain until the 1950's with the arrival of Queen Elizabeth when it was changed to God Save the Queen/King. It was composed by Sir Edward Elgar in the early 20th century. Elgar gifted it to the United States of America on his tour there so American people will recognise the instrumental version as their 'graduation theme' often played at high schools. Elgar lived not far from me and composed some fantastic music. Another Elgar favourite is 'Nimrod' from his Engima Variations compositions.

I come from a family of musicians, so as a kid, I knew a bit about the Bee Gees, but just recently really saw them & am absolutely in love with this group. Some great news is that it looks like there is going to be a biopic film made of the Bee Gees, directed by Ridley Scott with Barry Gibb, the lead singer in Too Much Heaven, as one of the producers!

Thanks for your reaction , we went to the concert of Andre Rieu at Maastricht , right in front of the stage at about 35 meters distance. Just as Emma started singing, an emotional bomb exploded in the square with the song DANCING ON THE STARTS and afterwards VOILA which earned a standing ovation for several minutes. Her beautiful voice touches your soul with the support of the orchestra, an evening to remember for a livetime. . Your tears prove that you have a good heart, you can be proud of this. This is Irish dancing. There is sift shoe & hard shoe dancing. Traditionally the arms are ram rid straight by your sides. My mother did it and still has amazing posture. I was babysitting & watching Eurovision when I saw this. Best part of the show!
