I don't remember specifically, but they're definitely not as common as most other steel models. This video was filmed a couple months back so the prices were quite a bit lower.
Thanks mate! I’ve spent a lot of time at Kenwatches as I get to film all their watches. They’re good and have 4 stores. Bought from them too. My mate at WatchDen is also a dealer and can source pretty much anything he doesn’t have. If you’ve got something in mind you could contact him as well. I’ve bought from him as well. But in general I’d recommend a walk around in TST and Mong Kok if you’ve got time.
Thanks Paul! Right now the prices should be bit lower here in HK in comparison to London. Although, they would probably equal, or be more, if considering the 20% vat import tax.
These guys go all the way to Hong Kong to look at expensive watches. Then they go to McDonald's for crappy cheap food. Hong Kong has the best Cantonese food in the world. Skip McDonald's and get yourself some Dim Sum at a teahouse.
Prices had jumped a bit during early 2022, to a point now that not many real transactions, and dealers not buying watches unless way under market price. I know that for a fact, 1/8 dealer replied to buying a SS Rolex, the rest didn’t reply or said no. A lot of local forums or chat groups have dealers bullying or trying to label people “sour grapes” that says the market is slowing down. Proceed with caution, only buy what you like or can afford.
Great video. No matter what people say, HK really is overflowing with watches, but despite that the prices have taken off in the 3 months since you filmed it. Keep your mask on for the next one those $5,000 fines are flying around!!
Thanks mate, I agree. The sheer density of watches in MK and TST is impressive. I would’ve liked to have my mask on for the whole thing but I had to pull it down just for the direct speaking to camera bits because my voice became too muffled and I seemed really inanimate to watch. I’ve got to wait for the cases to drop down before the next one I guess.
Thanks mate and that’s a great suggestion :) Like you mention, the sheer density of these watches in HK is almost unparalleled. I think I edited out more watches than I’ve shown in this video, it was getting pretty dry and repetitive. Originally I thought we’d be able to do TST and Mong Kok in the same day haha
Ridiculous!!! This is really not good!!! All the shops are flippers !!! I should wish Rolex and other brands should make hunt on them !!! This view was like decades ago in the AD’s 😂😅 All sincere buyers are not allowed buying a nice watch but this stupid shops have anything available 🤮
It’s like any shop that sells preowned or that’s a reseller. People buy from the AD and flip to them. They don’t get it directly through the AD. I don’t see a problem, it’s just regular business. It’s up to the ‘watch enthusiast’ to keep or flip at the end anyhow
This was great. I appreciate some views of the city mixed in with watch shopping. Cheers from Dallas! 🇺🇸🇮🇳
Thanks, I appreciate it. I’ll try to capture more smooth and descriptive footage of the city the next time I do one. Cheers!
This watches are original or clone watches. Which are they?
I only make videos on original watches
Hey guys, great video! So cool to see the watches in the windows. I'm learning so much! Cheers from São Paulo
Thanks Steve!
Awesome vid bro! Enjoyed the watch shopping trips.
Thanks bro 🙌
what's the price range of brand new yellow gold daytona now? can you check next time when you walk around the shops thanks!
I believe it’s in the ballpark of $800k. +/- 100k depending on used/new/condition
hi...I saw several prices that are way cheaper than grey market in the Usa for example a 2019 panda daytona for 37k usd??? is that correct ?
This was filmed in December, hence why the prices are low.
Was the video made 1-2 months ago? Because the prices seem much lower then current market prices
Dec
Hello, is it easier to get a date just Rolex from an AD in hong Kong
Not the 41s but perhaps the 36s
Thank you for the response. Are you able to help with that
Love it! Looking forward to our next video!
Heck yea!
Great video brother a lot of heavy hitters! It was nice to see those vintage Tudor watches.
Thanks bro 👊, i really like the Tudor subs but they’re just so expensive now haha
@@StandardTime they’re only going to get more expensive!!
Sad truth 😫
when did you record this video? those prices are like 7 months ago.
Dec
Nesecito un contacto qe envié a México superclone
interesting . so many watch stores, but not great deals , correct ? what 2 pieces would you look for to purchase ? ~ JDS/CT
Can we be sure these are authentic?
2:01 at first I thought the 116680 was $136800, in my mind I'm like its so cheap, its like msrp price. Then i realized its the 126622 that is $136800
Haha yeah while browsing over there I did multiple double takes too
Nice vids! Heard that Covid there is pretty bad and dealers there are giving good discounts now for Rolex below market price. Whats your take on that?
Hey there, did you see many YM 40mm rhodium dials out there, if so how were they priced, i plan on getting one.
I don't remember specifically, but they're definitely not as common as most other steel models. This video was filmed a couple months back so the prices were quite a bit lower.
@@StandardTime ohh ok. Any idea what they would be trading at now, new ones.
I just asked my mate at WatchDen, brand new ‘22 they’re going at $170k hkd now.
@@StandardTime i am getting a batgirl new for 198k hkd, what would u prefer as a more versatile watch?
Fav video so far!
Thanks, that’s awesome!
Great video! Hong Kong is an incredible city. I bought a watch there in 1997 and I still have it! 😊
Thanks mate! It’s cool that you’ve got a nice reminder of the place, and that you’ve kept it for a long time :)
Is the price are HKD?
Yep
@@StandardTime Thanks bro
When was this video filmed?
In December
When was the firm you made? Last week ?
December actually
@@StandardTime haha firming date is 1 of the importance on vlog 😂
I guessed so , obviously the date was not 2022. It seemed to be making more sense !
Love the editing, love the vlog style!!!! Definitely interesting to see different sides of hk. Keep it up 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thanks!
Are prices negotiable, or do they stick to their price?
Usually negotiable, but competitively so.
great vdo blog. at what currency it is ?
Thanks, Hong Kong Dollar
how do you know if those are real in hong kong?
They're all reputable dealers. HK has the one of the world's biggest high end watch markets.
@@StandardTime Thanks! great video
Those shops are there for 100 years, they won’t sell fake
when was this filmed?
Dec
@@StandardTime thanks thats why the price is a bit different
Do you trust that all the watches in every store is authentic? Also are you based in HK?
Generally yeah, ofcourse when buying you go that extra mile to do the due diligence. Partly based in HK
@@StandardTime do you bring a watch to an AD to authenticate? HK seems to be a great place to buy a watch
Please tell price in Dollers JK
Good stuff buddy!! I’ll be heading there in a month, which shop provides the most choice with the best value? Appreciate your advise on this!!
Thanks mate!

Never seen so many Rolex watches. How do the prices compare to buying in London? Great video, thanks.

They’re fakes
These guys go all the way to Hong Kong to look at expensive watches. Then they go to McDonald's for crappy cheap food. Hong Kong has the best Cantonese food in the world. Skip McDonald's and get yourself some Dim Sum at a teahouse.
We live in HK, plus my mate is vegetarian.
Smart
Not all eat pork😂😂
It is still too expensive paying for three Rolex watches only get one watch in the secondary market crazy price not for me

The question that comes to mind is “are they originals”?
they certainly are!
The prices are really high.
Filmed in Dec, everything’s unfortunately so much higher since
Great video. Always wanted to know more understanding of HK vs US market pricing. Not much of a difference 👍🏻
have you tried to view your video? camera was moving too fast, viewers can't even see anything.
Yeah unfortunately so. I have since upgraded to a better camera though! Recently put out a similar video
Way you fast you have time
thanks for the feedback!
Not a single watch on an AD but "second hand shops" are full of them
Scammers

Is not Japanese snack is tradition Chinese snack
No, Google it. Mochi is Japanese
@@StandardTime the term mochi is from the Japanese version of this snack which originated in china.
Hong kong has a special way of making legit watches look fake af.
Please let me know which is the best shop to buy jk
Hey Javed, I have personal experience with both WatchDen and Ken’s Watches. I would recommend them!
I left halfway through. Camera shaking and loud thumping music!
Very good indeed. Perhaps consider doing this walk as a “ live “ .
Unique, no where else comes near the sheer volume of watches on display. 888 ;)

Real
Are they all fakes?
None of them are fake
Damn these prices are ridiculously cheap compared to Europe

Best city in the world despite what’s been going on !!!!
I have to pay off the house before I can buy a Rolex, but I think i can get a tudor without the lady noticing
Sounds like a plan ;)

Sir namaste
Please get a gimbal. I got seasick from watching this.
Thanks for the feedback, will take it into account.
Hong Kong: home of the "Copy Watch".
You’ve got a lot to learn about the watch market, mate
You have no clue😂
Yes let's go buy a Daytona during the worse outbreak with 1mn infected people and soon up to 65% of the 7mn population
You can go do that, this was filmed in Dec.
@Standard Time good to know you are safe.

Fake watches 😂, some busted shop at corner
Please learn how to shoot decent video, focus, stay on the bloody watch youre talking about and stop waving the camera all over the place.
Very poor quality of video
Boring stuff, all repeated models. All the same. Yawn….
