I understand that prices keep fluctuating but a ball park range would be helpful to know if we’re getting a right deal.
Will keep this in mind going forth. A year ago I made a similar video browsing the streets of HK and it had the prices of every watch. But as time went on and thanks to the market correction, it became rather inaccurate.
How do you verify if these watches are authentic?

Pam collector here with a dad who's a grey dealer for nearly 40 yrs, it is not a Panerai "craze" in HK, is more like a lot of dealers are "stuck" with them like most of the modern Tudors. They need to buy stock to fill their shop sometimes and they are used as buffer to fill the shop as stocks can be low or hard to get etc due to the cash outlay

Hey Ashwin, just stumbled across your channel. Love the laid back approach. Perfect for the casual enthusiast. The Hong Kong angle makes it pretty unique. Oh to be able to rouse watches without pressure as you do on this. It’s a great way to see and compare…apart from the Datejust..which is way to 70’s

Yeah usually brand new watches are fully wrapped. Used are usually dial wrapped but not bracelet. Prices are about market value, there is always room for bargaining but likely not more than 1-3% if it’s Rolex. More if it’s other brands.

Yep. They can be used or new. They generally have box and papers. All details are specified on their website

yeah I think you can. I would do it at more than one shop just to be sure though.
Would be nice if you would tell us the asking prices of these watches..
I thought about it but the issue is that it often takes me a long time to get the video out after filming. Then the prices outdate the video from day 1. Some have told me to consider a livestream format for market values, still unsure of how I can make a quality video that way.

What do you think of the explorer polar in person?
It's very good. I find the dial ever so slightly large and sometimes I feel like the minutes hand is a bit thick. But then again it looks good at the right angle. I would have to wear it for a few days to be certain.

You kind of did forget to mention that you are friends with Ken and therefore he let's you play with all watches. If they don't think you are serious and walk in they won't be too happy to let you try more than 1-2 watches :) What are you buying yourself nowadays?
Yes that’s true and good to note. I see a lot of customers come in and silently try a couple of things, so I thought it’s still not bad. But they may also be repeat customers, it’s hard to tell. Last thing I picked up was a Ming.
