Way most epic excellent excellence of excellency brija!! Thank You so much. We've played this song since high school (graduated 1983). By chance came across your video and this makes a huge difference as to the exact notes and nuances that not only make it much more fun to play, but sounds way better too!! WoW!! 🐶😸🤣😎😇👍
I'm genuinely impressed-phenomenal work!
Very cool 😎. Loving these days that end in a “Y” 💜
Another great song from my younger years! Was always a Hager fan since his early days. Nice short tutorial. The only thing you missed was my favorite part to play, the chicka rhythm over the solo section. Thanks for sharing!
Mr H is an underrated guitar player and riff writer. He has written some classics: Love or Money, Back Into You and Growing Pains, to name 3. Cheers.
I can’t believe I’ve never learned this one before! I have it down now! Great lesson, thank you! 🤘
A couple of my favourite movies, Heavy Metal and Tank Girl.
Great song. I knew most of this but you added some of the little intricacies that make it sound better. Thx
Sammy Hagar! Wow that takes me back. I remember the song “RED“ and” I can’t drive 55” That was one of my favorite albums back in the day. 👍👍
Besides the riffs, the real key to mastering this song is getting the groove right. I appreciate seeing the riffs explained because those are the needed building blocks.
Sammy Hagar had some good solo stuff. Was not crazy about VH with him though.
hilarious that I wanted to learn this after seeing Zakk Wylde's performance of it the other night, and then you put this video out!
Thanks for covering this one...though I'd argue that *both* "Heavy Metal" songs on the soundtrack are equally fantastic!
I dig them both quite a bit too!
Thanks for the lesson. That is "the riff" man. Always loved that song and the main riff.
Awesome video man 🤙🤙
Awesome KDA!👍🔥
Thanks Kelly !
Thanks again Youngster
Guts…still binging on Budgie.
Today is a great blast from one of my favourite movies.
How bout a tune from Tank Girl? Another great movie.
great rocker!
Hope they do this on the best of all worlds tour
Awesome riff. I wish the movie held up better.
It was very disappointing. Back then we were so looking forward to it and ran to the theaters to see it and it was just lame. Just like Flash Gordon.
hi..yep interseting...in sofar i spot a certain relative to AC/DC Young influence here....with a slightly different flavour in the rythm of it.....but i like it....cheers and thx.....something "new" to me......haa...
🤘
Kelly, quick riff# are cool, but to really learn the instrument, one needs to learn the riff in context to the whole song, and learn to perform whole songs so that performance can include the accurate completion of a song . I speak from experience, I can play hundreds of riffs, but only about 20 songs. It take discipline to play a song, from beginning to end, but it is very satisfying , the tricky parts can be entering or coming out of a bridge or chorus , and learning to provide space to the other musicians. Hager is a riff king… I can’t drive 55, three lock box . I have heard allot of players who can spill out riffs like vomit, but understanding song structure and performance is what it’s about.
True. However as you may or may not have noticed, I generally don't stop at just the riff in these videos. I'll usually carry on, and also get into the verse and chorus as I did with this one. Other than any bridges or solos, that's pretty much the majority of the track.
3 Lock Box
hello new sub.
can you teach the solo of this song?
