Wes Welker absorbed the most punishment for one game as a wide receiver (not including tight ends) than any other game/receiver that I’ve ever seen before or since. I’ve seen w/r’s take up to two vicious hits often, three rare. Welker, he took on like 5 brutal hits, one particular I thought he was done, he missed I think one play came back in and immediately hit with another reception. Welker looked like he was in a daze but kept playing courageously. There was moment late 3rd Qtr, a break in the action, Brady was walking to the sideline, Welker a few paces behind Brady and his back to the camera, he had just taken another good hit, the camera shows Brady asking him something. I fig it could only be “Wes, you Ok.” Sometimes boxers don’t know when to say enough, I was feeling like that for Wes.
