I'm an Aussie and I think I am falling in love with American Football. Such a great game. The pressure, excitement is not matched with any other sport. Going to an NFL game is on my bucket list for sure.
Going to the game actually sucks but it’s a must to get the experience. You have to stand the entire time because if you sit down you won’t be able to see. You can’t leave to go get a beer or go to the bathroom because you won’t be able to see what’s going on only hear people cheering then everyone goes to the bathroom at half time so you are waiting the entire time at half time to go to the bathroom then if you go get a beer or something it is 20 minutes and it’s $16 a beer.
Both American Football and baseball are great sports to watch because they are "crescendo" type sports. Bursts of action then a pause. Its really nice as a viewer to have a small amount of time for whatever between every play, or to be able to get a drink/go to the bathroom at the inning or possession change. Just dont let your kids play football unless the coaches are good. If you run into an old school coach who thinks "getting your bell rung" is a good way to learn you need to stay far, far away. Brain damage is not cool, no matter how much tougher people were when you were a kid.
Thank you, NFL, for the uploads and for keeping the comments open. One of the pleasures of watching these games is sharing posts with other watchers who enjoy these classic games. I didn't have a dog in this fight, so it's one of the most entertaining games I've watched in a looooong time.

In 1980 IIRC Thanksgiving day game with Detroit, the Bears scored a TD with time expired then returned the KO for the win on the first play of OT. The games available here. Peyton Manning led the Colts in a 21 point comeback in the last 4:23 vs Tampa Bay in 2004 (IIRC) and an OT win. That game and a video of the game's last 4 minutes and OT is also available here.

@@day-cy8px yeah, our offense was actually loaded at the time compared to now. Kenny Britt, Kendall wright, Nate Washington and Jared cook to throw to with Johnson as the back is WAYYY better than our current trash set of receivers. Also, look how the offensive line held up.
