    Bda kindly let me know what is the formula to calculate fuel oil consumption at lower RPM .
    Or its in seatrial report ....kindly reply.

    Good Day kindly let me know where to find fuel oil consumption vs rpm data.
    Or if one to calculate that on which rpm what is the fuel oil consumption is so how we can do this .

    Cheif
    Why we are reducing rpm?
    You have mentioned fo temprature should not be less than 95 because purifier is running i didn't understand why purifier came in between?
    At starting of change over you completely shut the fuel valves of hfo. About pobas calculator it have given timings ?

    • @marine-knowledge-basha
      @marine-knowledge-basha  2 года назад

      when we reduce the rpm fuel consumption will be reduced and load will be reduced for the engine to have gradual mixture of oil.
      Service tank temperature will be the fuel oil outlet temperature from hfo purifier so the hfo temperature dont go less than purifier temperature.
      at the beginning completley open the diesel inlet and close hfo inlet valve.
      fobas calculator will give you how much time you need to change over from hfo to do completly in entire system.

    What about fuel oil return ? When to change that

    • @marine-knowledge-basha
      @marine-knowledge-basha  Год назад

      fuel oil return in case if ur doing from hfo to do ....return line for hfo should kept open and once the fuel oil temperature come to diesel oil temp den u can open the do return and close hfo return,,,This is to avoid hfo gtng mixd with do .

  • @mudassarimam3489
    @mudassarimam3489 2 года назад

    Is there any diff. in procedure of Fo change over in system having mixing column and without mixing column?.
    Secondly, as both hfo service tank and purifier have seperate heating system.so, why to consider purifier heater in this?.
    Thank you in advance.

    Thanks 🙏. Nice explanation very clearly. Could you please tell vice Versa procedure from mgo to Hfo.
    1)
    Is it necessary to heat up diesel oil little before opening HFO ?
    2) Please explain it for boiler also . Boiler should run in manual mode always ? Continuously? What temperature I should keep on boiler ? Fuel always different !
    3) As far as I know from my experience before change over it is best practice to clean all the filters and after change over too. Also one generator to be changed over with separate independent system (flushing pump) first . And keep it running for safety reason . Is it correct please 🙏 comment .

    If FOBAS calculator is not there, is there any other way to find out or calculate how much time it will take for changeover?

    • @marine-knowledge-basha
      @marine-knowledge-basha  6 месяцев назад +1

      FOBAS will be alwys available ...if not u have to take and refer previous oil consumption data for the vessel engine specified RPM from sea trial record and do the calculation for change over

    What is your opinion when we make a change over from MGO TO HFO is it neccessery to heat up disel oil or not? A lot of people say that need to heat MGO up to 75- 80 deg to avoid termoshock of your pumps and system . Some engineers said never heat up disel it is dengerouse. Clirify it here please.

    • @marine-knowledge-basha
      @marine-knowledge-basha  Год назад +1

      No need to heat up sir.. Absolutely no need to hear up LSMGO.. Thermal shock can be avoided by gradual mixing of LSMGO with HFO..
