And what if we run both the pump .. supply pump and circulating pump when engine is stop ...we some time run it for long period of time when the deck officer gives us notice but first kick to the engine will be given when my watch is going to finish
On my case, after circulation pump I have automatic backflushing filter, when this filter make a flushing ( every 4 hours), the pressure on system falls from 7.5 bar to 5.4 bar, and alarms sounds. It's not normal, what can It be?

I have two questions 1. The buffer tank is always full and under pressure from the feed/circulating pumps ? 2. The air release valve of the buffer tank is working by floating device ?

Doubt:- When ME is stopped. We keep the supply pump and circulating pump running. Circulating pump is circulating oil from buffer tank to buffer tank. What about supply pump? Is supply pump safety valve lifts ?
There is two reason for that 1. if supply pump connection is common with the auxiliary generator then we have to keep it running for supplying the fuel. 2. if you see the line diagram you can see there is a pressure control valve provided along with the fuel supply pump. the function of these pressure control valve is short the excess pressure if build up in lne. when the engine is stopped the fuel is circulating from from buffer tank to buffer tank in a closed system at that time fuel oil supply pump is provided to compensate for any loss in the line due to evaporation, leakage etc..once this loss is compensated the excess fuel will cause the build up in pressure in the line which will be relived by the pressure control valve back to to suction of the supply pump. I hope you understand!!! please do like and subscribe and please share with your friends also!!!
@@MarineEngineeringHub if the pressure control valve in supply pump opened, it means the mixing tank has excess pressure right? so does the mixing actually has pressure? if so, how does the air release in mixing tank works? will it release the fuel instead only the air?
why dont we stop fuel oil supply and circulation pumps during port stay when the engine is stopped and why flowmeter wont measure any reading yet the supply pump run ?

What is the use of shifter pump in f.o system transfer lines
Thanks for this video!!...
One doubt!!!
Why there is need of bypass line with viscotherm ??
If you need to carryout any maintenance of the viscotherm in that maater you close the inlet and outleg valves of viscotherm line up through bypass.
What is the reference book of diagram?
SIR what will be the exact pr developed after fuel oil pump before injector...
Very nicely explained..From which institute u did presea training

Is the supply pump and boost pump the same in the fuel oil system?
No they are different for different purposes!!!
@@MarineEngineeringHub in what way, is it okay if you'll explain it a little bit more? Thank you
Sir can we say buffer tank and missing column are sir ..🙏
Can you explain how fuel oil is re circulated when Engine stopped
Though engine stops, circulation is still maintained
