The only time I'll use a four in hand is with a grenadine garza grossa tie because of the thickness of the silk. The rest of the time it's a Windsor. I am not slight of build so everything is scaled up, collar size, spread, depth and I'll usually wear double breasted jackets, blazers and overcoats. A tie with a smaller knot can get lost in this ensemble.
Angelo, Will you please create a video on the role the shirt collar plays in tie knots and jackets? I have seen some individuals wearing ties with collars that are way too small for both the tie and the jacket that they are wearing. Your shirt collar, tie and jackets are always spot on. Thanks

Great helpful video! I have a question: I have the problem that one can see in the left photo in the thumbnail, namely: often a space remains between the top of the knot and the collar's middle, so the tie is not fully up and touching the collar's center. How can I get rid of this problem, please?
Thank you for your comment Rajesh… usually this type of problem appears when the knot isn’t tight enough.. try tightening the knot while you center it properly and go up to the very top of the band of your shirt.. also.. try to keep the narrow part of the tie as close as possible to the area where the collar folds down on the back of your neck.. as if the tie is too low there also the knot will be
@@DIROMA1980 Ah, I see thanks! I think I understood what you mean. But if you can also make a video on this issue of the space between knot and collar, it would be highly appreciated. I usually try to tighten the tie knot as much as possible and also pull it up as much as possible. Sometimes the space is gone, but 10 minutes later the space is back again. :(

I think I've only done/used a four in hand knot - well , 99.9% of the time. I struggle with the Look of a full Windsor (maybe a half Windsor would suit, no pun intended), and prefer the aesthetic of the four in hand. But, thanks for highlighting.
