  • Hey everyone. I just want to first apologize for the long video. This is my first time actually seeing these tvs set up the same in a row and all on at the same time in this manner. so I just had allot to say as my first impression.
    Bare with me as I am still learning as I go along, and I'm still trying to dial in my picture settings, particularly with the Sony A95L. But I wanted to get an initial video out there to at least talk about the tvs and what my general thoughts are at the moment.
    My opinions can absolutely change as I purchase these tvs to keep and ownership experience in long term can definitely have an impact on my thoughts and opinions as time goes along because that's when you start to know the ins and outs of the tvs that you don't really hear about and not on paper.
    But so far, I must say that Sony nailed it. We will see as I am just referring more so about gaming. Thank you all for your support. This video was created yesterday and posted today. Thank you. again, and please hit the like button, and I hope to see all your comments below.

    Thanks for the great video today, i really think your approach to this tv review/opinion thing is the best out there. You dont waste time talking about things that the average person shopping for a tv dosent even understand, instead your straight forward approach to what you see and how it looks overall is easy on most people. Congrats with the channel and hitting 1000 subs- im definitely looking forward to much more content comparing these 3 titans. Thanks again! Please keep it coming..

      @josephmainolfi5314. Hey, thank you for the kind words and for checking out the video. Means a lot. I try my best to explain what I see. I know I'm not a very clean spoken or scripted type of person, and I know it clearly shows, but I just have a hard time being scripted cause it doesn't feel real to me. And I know I'm not a pro, but I just try my best to share what I experience as an owner of the tvs. I like to talk about things that don't get spoken about too much because people who do reviews don't have long-term ownership. And it's then and only then when the tvs really show their true colors. I haven't gotten to that point yet with the A95L as I only had it a few days, and I'm still learning it, but I do see improvements from the A95K. And lots of them, actually. Last year, I was a bigger fan of the S95B over the A95K. I was actually upset with myself for even buying the A95K cause it wasn't too much any better than the A95K. The s95b was even better in gaming my long shot, too. From input lag to gaming Manu and motion. But I can see now that the A95L has definitely made those differences allot closer and, in some ways, surpassed the s95c. It truly is a beautiful work of art. Can't wait to do the Hdr 3k demo next. Please hit the notifications button I will be running this comparison extremely soon. Thank yiu again for your support. Means allot to me.

    Great feedbacka and review! Few comments on S95C:
    1) Contrast Enhanser on S95C is horrible in most cases. Yes, this will give an overall brigther image but at the cost of blowing out highlights. But it isn't needed.
    2) You can turn down saturaiton to match the others. The number doesn't mean anything if your eyes can match it, then it is better. Try 19, 18 etc.
    3) Sony is using sharpening in their processing, so adding some to S95C is a good idea to bring the detail. It will also work better without Contrast Enhanser.
    Overall I really do agree the S95C would be killer with some more settings. Especially increasing black levels.

    • @consumerreview2k
      @consumerreview2k  8 месяцев назад +2

      @exhibitD79. Hey, nice to hear from you again. In many use cases, contrast enhancers are off, but in others, I do like it on. It depends on what I'm playing. It can blow out details your right. I tone it down to about 18 to 19, and it still doesn't help detail wise. And even when I put adjust sharpness to even let's say 3 or 4, it doesn't do much. Then, when you go anything over, I notice 6, I start to see artifacts or very small halo effects around lines. Or even jaggys. The s95c has a very clear picture. I just wish it was much more tunable and able to be dialed in tighter. Cause when you get the picture just right, it really does look amazing and sometimes better them the A95l. But the A95L xr processor just has a clear image and such a good color. It's not overboard and just enough punch and vibrancy to he more than the g3 but not as overkill og the s95c. And I believe they waited to release their tv so they can make sure they take the cons from both and deliver the consumer the best of both worlds. And we on top of that to be able to deliver the great pq along with great audio? It's just a true winner, in my opinion. And I didn't think I would say that as I am still in love with the lg g3. The g3 is still the most customizable tv, in my opinion. And that's what keeps me hooked. I understand them,I can change the settings and dial in really tight per each specific game I play. And it does, in my opinion, have an overall better picture quality over the s95c and a better overall processor and build quality. I would choose the g3 over the s95c any day. But the A95L, well, I have to see more so long run what I would choose overall. It's gunna to be tougher than I thought. Sorry for the long reply.

      No. Sharpness slider will just introduce ringing and artifacts on s95c. A95L has clear image which gives better clarity, sharpness and detail.

      @@consumerreview2k Just one thing. You already know that when FMM (4000 nits) and ALLM are activated (instead of game mode), the G3 looks much better and the imput lag is still very low.
      It is a settings that every G3's owners can use very easily. You should at least show the difference between game mode+dtm on and FMM with dtm on.
      You always say that you like to play with the settings to fine tune the imagine but you don't show one of the best settings for gaming on LG G3.
      Who cares if LG write "game mode" if FMM+DTM on+ALLM looks much better without loosing the very low imput lag ?
      Anyway, at the end of the day, the A95L is still a better TV and it will force LG samsung panasonic to improve their TVs even more.
      I have the G3 and I love my TV. But the A95L is the king in 2023 ! Well done Sony. 👍😉

    • @consumerreview2k
      @consumerreview2k  8 месяцев назад +1

      @robfisher7706. Thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. The A95L provides you to be able to install the legs either on the outside or the middle for more versatility just in case the wider installation is too wide for the stand you are using. Just have to make sure you have enough depth as many people forget to measure that, too. The legs are about 16 inches long, so I would recommend a stand with at least an 18-inch depth. Also, take note that the width of the tv, when installed on the ends of the tv, is about 68 inches long. So you need a stand that's at least that wide. The legs, when installed on the edges of the tvs, are able to be installed in various heights to accommodate a soundbar, but when installed in the middle, it is set to only one height. The lowest height possible.

    Hi man , Great content ! But i am just curious, what are your fine tune color adjustment settings ?

    • @consumerreview2k
      @consumerreview2k  7 месяцев назад

      @Phoenix-zm5gv. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. The S95C I typically keep shadow detail on negative 2. Color to 22. Tone mapping on static. And hdr on basic and hdr10+ for gaming turned off. Black level to zero but sometimes negative one if I want more pop and less shadow detail..the A95L I am still playing woth because I'm not to happy with the brightness so I'm trying to find out ways to make it look at least more vibrant color wise without losing details. But so far I do like color on 50 to 55 depending on what I'm playing in game mode. Reality creation in hdr I don't really see any difference. Tone mapping on gradation preferred, live color on low. Or off. Sharpness between 0 to 3. Black levels right at 0 along with gamma at 0 too. The g3 is where I do the most picture settings changes when gaming. Mostly because the game optimizer is the most useful and impactful out of all 3 of them. Black stabilizer, I typically like to keep at 10. White stabilizer the same. But I do change them depending on the game. Color I like to kick up personally to about 60. No it does not clip details or blow out pictures at 60. Sharpness at 0 to 5. Contrast enhancer in darker games I like on but not in brighter games as it tends to blow up the sun in the sky more and you lose fine details a little in various lighter scenes. White balance on warm 50 for the most part. Game black levelizer I keep at 50 but if I'm playing a darker rpg game I like to make it even darker in scary games. Gives you that suspenseful scared feeling cause you can't see anything ahead of you. Input lag on boost. Brightness all the way up. Contrast all the way up. Again for the most part not all the time. Dtm hgig for the most part too. It fluctuates depending on the game. But I think the G3 has the best game menu. I think the A95L game menu is a complete joke. The s95c is the most impressive in colors and brightness but not details and 3d pop. And the Ganing menu although not as customizable as the g3 still is awesome because of all the hdr selections you get from the s95c. Color is also very impressive. And it really does depend on the genre of game I'm playing too. Some as long as you pick the correct genre, it will in theory provide you with the most optimal picture fir that genre you are playing. Hope this helps

      @BeyondinfiniteX. Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I personally would not do that. The G3 is, in my personal opinion, the better gaming TV because it has such a great in-game optimizer. You can get a terrific picture preference dialed in more than you can through game mode in the A95L. Plus, although the picture is very detailed on the A95L,I'm starting to notice things that are a little disturbing while gaming, like, for example. It doesn't get as bright as you would wish it can. And you can't dial in your levels as much as you can with the g3. Like white stabilizer and black stabilizer. Yes, it has a preset of 3 different options for white stabilizers, but they are presets. Not like the g3 where you can actually dial those types of things in. Plus, if you really want more detail, you can do that on the g3. It has the processing power for it.

      @saisudhakare. Hey nice to hear from you again. I do feel more heat coming out of the screen in a more straight forward direct. I could be wrong but I thought that it was because the MLA filter actually redirects the light so it does not lose brightness anymore. Which means that it also redirects the heat from that light that was lost before the MLA filter. So I think it may feel warmer but it's not because the tv is getting any hotter, it may be just cause it's redirecting the heat in a more straight forward direction thays coming from each individual pixel it's emitting.

    It's been a year since i watched your videos and it's because of black friday, so here we are again. Thanks for your input pal, it helps.
    I have a Sony from last year because they are just the overall better balanced picture and im an RPG gamer so i sacrificed better input lag with Sony's picture quality. However, i play cyberpunk these days and I do notice the input lag when i aim. And I think im done with traditional oled because they are inconsistent when in comes to blacks.
    So Samsung seemed like an obvious choice for me last year, but then you hear the horror stories, lol. Not an easy one is it? Pro's and con's with all of them.

      @RagnarHoff. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. And I apologize for the late reply. It is getting harder to get back to everyone as quick as possible. But yes it is very difficult to weigh out the pros and cons according to your personal priorities and preference. My best advice is to just go with what you think is best for you by what's most important to you. Easier said then done but I think if you just go for it and buy any if these tvs you will most likely be happy. Rpg gaming I do allot of so I'm right there with you. I tend to lean more towards the g3 and A95L in terms of rpg gaming. Primarily because the g3 has that 3d pop and good detail and color and the black levels are more fine tunable/customizable then any of the other tvs. But I also like playing rpg games on the A95L because the qd oles color is wider then the g3 and you get a little more fine details. Plus the highlight details are incredible. It's a tough one. Then there's price. I think most would go with the S95c fir gaming due to its color and brightness capability in game mode. But if your like me. That is not typically the primary decision making priority. But for most I would think it is.

      @othman0077. Thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I am actually in the middle of that video as we speak. Please stay close as it will be dropping in a few days. The best advice I have is they both have equal perceived brightness when in game mode. The colors are very close because the luminance goes down allot on the A95L when in game mode. Also the A95L is not as vibrant as you may think in game mode. But still looms great in warm 2 with gradation preferred on for hdr tone mapping. Hgig is just amazing on the lg g3. The LG G3 in game menu (Game optimizer) is the best gaming menu in the market. Primarily because you can change the dark levels in a fine tune manner. But I will say that the details are better in the A95L. And the colors are although very close l, the A95L still does have a little but of an advantage in these modes that you are asking about.

    Great comparison showing us all three and letting us zoom in and compare for ourselves. The 3d pop on the a95l is incredible. I have a s95c and it looks flat and comic book like. The software and reliability just flat out rule it out for me. Mine has been repaired twice and they are buying it back now. The G3 os, 4k/120 hdmi ports, and brightness is great. For me though the detail on that a95l is a huge step up along with the 3d pop. Something about the outline on the characters gives it a step above the g3 and blows away the samsung.

      Ps5 hdmi signal dropout. Atmos dropping. Pc dropping like crazy and again atmos crackling. Slooowww hdmi switching. They changed the hdmi board in the one connect box and the panel entirely. After seeing the samsung taken apart i realized how cheaply it is built. Mid tier at best. There is a reason a 77” s90c is selling for $2k. Had a lg c9 for years that was near flawless. Maybe some lipsync issues but no hdmi drops.

S95c gaming is fantastic, but you get dropouts and the details on the S95c are not as great compared to the A95L and g3. The d95c has the best color overall. Plus, it’s using the same exact 2nd gen panel as the more expensive S95C and has been described as having indistinguishable picture quality between the two. And the cherry on top, you save a ton of money going this route. I only spent $1999 through Samsungs website for this TV. That’s less than I paid for my 65” LG CX a few years ago. @consumerreview2k  8 месяцев назад +2

      @geofousteris2669. Nice to hear from you again. This is just personal opinion here as everyone else has there's on this, too. I feel like at first glance, on the surface, the s95c is the popular gaming TV choice. Cause of its brightness and color pop. But in my personal opinion, after owning the 2 tvs for many months now, I have grown to like the g3 in gaming more over the S95c. The g3 has more in-game customization settings, black level settings, more detail with overall picture quality, and a really nice 3d pop. Dynamic tone mapping on does not blow out the picture or clip, and the highlights look great. Input lag is almost instantaneous, although the s95c is too. The colors on the g3 may not be as vibrant, but they are still vibrant enough to really love the way they pop and look.they are not over saturated. I personally would not want to sacrifice all that for the brighter game mode and more saturated or vibrant colors of the s95c. Plus, the s95c has driven me to the point of discouragement and disappointment. The dropouts and quality control is just a blunt disrespect to the consumers' hard earned money. Last year, the s95b was my favorite tv for gaming specifically, but g2 overall use case favorite. This year, the s95c is just an upset to me. I don't like using it as much as the g3, and the A95L is also fantastic so far. But there's more to see about the a95l. But I really like it allot and last year. I wasn't the biggest fan of the A95K, as you can see in many of my comparisons, in what my opinion was.

      @user-mq1tg1po1u. Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I actually do follow quantum because I really like his settings for gaming and watching movies with high-end cgi. He is really good at making the colors pop without losing details. I will give him that. But that's probably because I'm not the biggest fan of accuracy when gaming. I understand that people are, so I would recommend following the person that best fits your personal preference in any regard or all of them if you like to mix it up. The motion when gaming in 4k HDR is indeed improved over last years a95k. I happen to think that sonys older motion processing was better than the newer xr cognitive motion processor they implicated last year and moving forward on their qd oled lineup. But again, I definitely think specifically for 4k gaming it's fantastic and has definitely improved. As far as anything else for motion goes (sdr) (streaming) or things like slow panning and fast panning in other picture modes go, I'm not personally sure because I haven't personally checked to see. So he could be referring to these things. I am sensitive to motion judder. I notice it more then the average person. With that said it is a big deal to me how good a tvs motion is. Any oled during slow play especially is a little suspect because of the instant pixel response so it's uo to the manufacturers to figure out best how to not make it look so noticeable. Not an easy task given the panel technology.

    A95L wins hands down. That LG G3 still suffers from pink tint on Wrgb oled tech.... Yaaack

    I think lg engineers are eating something that prevents them from seeing the green color... It is the main theory that I have ! or maybe they buy it a faulty color calibration equipament and don't know...

      @mhenrique. Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. To be fair. It is the camera that is exposing the green tint. It really is not as noticeable in person. I think most would agree that many wouldn't even be able to immediately tell the difference even with these.rvs next to eachother in person.

    I'd go Sony first, then LG, then Sammy. Obviously LG has the worst colours due to it not being QD which is the best at that. But it beats Sammy on depth and a tad on details and black level. For me I'd take it above the Sammy.

      @markbanner6473. Hey, thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Yes, I would go in that order at least when it comes to 4k gaming at the moment. But idk yet as the 4k hdr movie might be a different story. All depends on how each tv approaches a lot of things when receiving the hdr and dolby Signal and what they allow you to do in the settings from there to me. Thank you for your insight. As I am more of a fan of the game menu in the g3 by a landslide over the A95L and the s95c but the clarity of the a95l is definitely a different level in gaming. It really is the best picture fir gaming I have seen so far, and I'm a huge g3 fan.
