It seems like sea shanties are taking the internet by storm, and Wellerman in particular is everywhere. I'm happy to present my own version of this very catchy tune.

This is easily my favorite rendition of the song by a mile. No autotuning, no obnoxious instruments blaring, no weird pronunciations or straining of the lyrics. It's just a man, his voice, and his guitar. Nothing more to ask from a sea shanty.

I just had to revisit this song because I heard a version of it by some guys who took it into the top 40 of the UK charts. Your version is much better, so it should have gotten you into the top 10 of the UK charts 🙂

I've been in New Zealand for almost a year now, and it's such a beautiful country. Sometimes I just drive around a bit and find several spots to record videos hahah I try to keep track of them and go back to places I've seen before when I think it will match a particular video. It's nice when there are so many great options of locations, I've been very lucky =D
