I am loving these conversations with you and Dad, AK! Your dad is a wealth of information and an example of strength and stamina! I am terribly sorry you are suffering--as a runner, I know the pain of being 'down' and unable to have independence to go go go. But this tragedy introduced your dad to the YT world and now your audience can enjoy a wonderful NYC-only father-and-son dynamic! Keep it Going!!
Wonderful walk around Astoria AK! Loved having your Dad accompany you & hearing his commentary about the neighborhood. I agree with you, there are things in NYC that definitely need improvement, but NYC is a fabulous, exciting city! 🥰 Thanks for all you do AK!🧡
Still out there doin your thing kid! One legged in a wheelchair and still doin it!! Respect from Dayton Ohio brother. Headed that way for Halloween and the marathon this year. Best wishes and speedy recovery!
The one good thing about AK having his accident in Toronto it was close enough to NYC where dad could pick him up . And also near NYC where his You Tube friends could assist him ! Think some similar event happening in SE Asia .
Really grateful for you (and your Dad) for taking some disabled person walk-about around NYC. Never easy to get around with a wheelchair or a walker, though things are getting better. If you return to Miami, would love to see you check out disabled access options especially in places like South Beach as many tourists enjoy that part of Miami Beach.
Your pops is cool, AK. He knows how to balance his own knowledge with asking you questions that help further the content and storylines. Very dope duo!
Your Dad is so Cute 🥰.... I was raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in the late 50's,60's,70's .... Like your Dad same time era( if I remember correctly from your last video) I like hearing him reminisce about the way things used to be in the 60s and 70s cuz I can certainly relate from living in Brooklyn which wasn't too different from Astoria because my uncles used to live in a story and we would go there Sunday dinners with my great big Italian family 💖 Take Care of your foot.... Don't wear your Dad out❣️
Thank you for another walk. I am so happy that you are finding help during this healing phase of your injury. Such a sweet dad to do this for you. Looking forward to more
Hopefully, the redesign will be much safer, and people will eventually adapt to these changes.16:36 It's neat to see the temporary lines showing the new traffic design and the newly resurfaced streets. 23:52 Heartwarming! ❤ It was nice see you and your dad enjoyed some bonding time and for him to push you around the neighborhood while wearing fashionable boots! 😎 Thank you for sharing this tour along with your dad, AK! 🤗

@@rick063092 Now you're trying to twist my words to fit your narrative. There's a reason why I put a timestamp of AK with his dad, and that is the heartwarming moment, but of course you purposely took it out of context to support your statements. I sure hope you're aware that these street redesigns don't just occur specifically to Astoria. Changes happen in many cities and neighborhoods around the world, and people will have to adapt.
Saw you in July, I yelled out Action Kid! You were with Barr and your crew lower East Side around the corner from Katz's. Thanks for stopping and shaking hands. I appreciate it and appreciate your channel. Hope you're on the mend and walking soon! Love seeing you and your Dad in this vid. Great bonding moments here.
What’s so interesting to my point of view and I admire this is that your injury caused you to give some light to your family and friends to help you out on your journey as you get through your healing process that’s very dope. Also I pray you have a fast recovery ! Glad to see you pushing through strong
Hey Action Kid, I am a 36-year resident of Astoria and know your dad through Astoria Centric. He has been introducing us to your videos I've also met your dad, though he has not met me personally. I'd love to give you an in-depth tour of Astoria and update you on a few things! Plus ask you a few questions too!!
It was cool seeing the neighborhood & you're dad again,😎 It was also good that you have so many helping even though still in wheelchair. 😃Thank you for sharing, AK!!!😎👍
So glad you’re getting out there, and with family! Accessibility is so important. Things like walk up buildings, or basements, even stoops with stairs, must be big obstacles for many people. I wonder if you’ve tried the subway / bus / etc and can share your experiences. Thanks. Hoping you get well soon.
Nice to see you spending more time with you're Dad. and that he is able to physically be able to push you around. alto if you had gotten a chair with the big wheel in the back it would be a lot easier to push around ? I think? My wife broke her leg couple years ago and we went thru having to push her around and that big wheel made a huge difference in ease of pusing it. Anyway speedy recovery Ken thank you and you're Dad for another great video God speed from "The Old Man" ECF

Hi Ken Good night & how are you? This is so my area. We can certainly be neighbors 😊 I hope to see you around. Hello to your dad. He's such a great person, we appreciate him doing this for you and taking us along.
I was born in Astoria General. Lived on 24 St.n 40th Ave.Before I moved out to Long Island I lived on 28 St and Dimars Blvd.I walked all over Astoria .
I don't drink coffee either, lol, but I enjoyed the adventure. Your dad is great. I really enjoy the conversations between the two of you. I thought it was interesting to hear about the restaurants and their struggles. It's wrong to fine them $500 for their outdoor seating areas. Firstly, they no doubt spent a lot to construct them. COVID is not completely gone and even if it was there will always be another virus to take it's place. Outdoor dining options are a good thing. In saying that, the restaurant owners need to maintain them.
Finally, after nearly 18 minutes, you choose the sidewalk instead of the busy street. Of course it's safer to be walking on the sidewalk instead of in the street. I would never do this, especially in the city and especially pushing a loved one in a wheelchair. And meanwhile, the irony is, you were regularly pointing out the dangerous transgressions of the drivers right around you. Listen, love you, I'm subscribed and a contributor, but this is not a great example ActionKid. And dad. Take care.
Astoria is probably gonna become the new Williamsburg. It's prime real estate, still hasnt seen the effects of "gentrification", it's safe, quiet, charming. It's got everything you'd want living in NYC, including the epic view of Manhattan.... Wish I could afford it!

@@qazatqazah AK will be graduating to a knee scooter in a few days. Electric wheelchair, heavier/ bigger wheelchair and his transport chair will be history. LOL. Thanks for everyone's input but AK knows what he needs to do.
I've been using electronic wheelchairs since I haven't been able to walk for the last 12 years because of spine injury, I currently use a Powerchair that costs about $7000 and that's at the mid end of options, they last about five years and if you get one with a gel battery you get about 8 to 9 hours of straight gives they travel at about 5 mph max. But you can also rent them temporarilyand I think that would be a good option for you
The city won’t be satisfied until every road is put on a road diet and screws up traffic everywhere. You should get a regular wheelchair with the large rear wheels, you are using a transfer chair that makes you feel every bump, but you were used th that on your scooter. Get well soon!
Agree, so many classic, old school Italian and Greek families with the best food. Then all the yuppies moved in after about 2010 and destroyed the place.
