Great stuff and very well made. One gripe though - I have seen a lot of footage from actual air combat and the B-17 crews were pretty strict on comms discipline. Once they got into combat most comments were of the "6-Low 190" "Roger" variety. No one likes panicky crew members filling the intercom with gibberish, least of all the pilot who had the responsibility of getting them all back one way or another. When the US first started operating four engined bombers the USAAF worked on the assumption that 4% or all aircraft in a mission would be lost to enemy fire each missions with another 4-6% damaged but repairable. The 4% figure is why they initially assigned a 25 mission flight total to qualify for returning stateside (usually to a training role). Apart from the obvious major disasters eg Schweinfurt/Regensburg, Ploesti I / II the rate eventually ended up being a lot less, which is why the number of missions kept getting pushed up, first to 50 and then eventually to 100. Being a B-17 crew member in 1943 would have been hell, being a B-17 crew member in 1945 would have been sweet !
If only we had people willing to escort us in War Thunder. It's quite literally "Oh, you're in a B-17? Have fun taking on the entire Interceptor flight while we pick off the strike aircraft".
@@billybobj9988 One, bombers don't always get air spawns, two, you can always ask them to slow down/fly lower, and three, enemies are usually already above or at the same altitude as the bombers by the time the bombers hit the center of the map, if they even make it that far.
I was busy so I couldn’t partake in it, next time I would love to make the German voice lines, or English voices too, its actually something I love doing given I studied drama/performing arts.

they were the number 1 squadron to cover the b17 also the first all black fighter squadron
this is underrated for the quality.
This looks like it has very good potential
Great job man!

Yeah! I caught that Red Tails film reference, too. Ode to Lieutenant Joe “Lightning” Little, KIA in to “Pretty Boy,” with his bright yellow nose.
I appreciated this one a lot Aero.

@@thegrimrealityofficial who cares enough to ask a bomber to slow down 🤣 its an arcade game play dcs if you want realism
Gotta say well done great acting too
5:58 HE SAID THE THING
Also a recommendation I would make would be to use extra sound effects for dramatic effects on things like explosions
Great job guys 👏
Thank you!
