I just checked the Christy Award finalists a few days ago! We Three Kings is on its way to me from the library, so I will definitely read that one. I have also been wanting to read On Moonberry Lake for quite a while, so I may pick that up as well. Eventually I will read the Jaime Jo Wright books and the Amanda Cox Book.
Indigo Isle was really good…deep subjects but good. Definitely the Beauty and the Beast trope. I think you’ll like both you spinned. I liked Vanishing better than Barlowe, but they’re both fun reads. I do pay attention to the Awards, but like you there are a lot I hadn’t seen circulating on BookTube. I thought it’d be fun to flag all the winners in our church library. My fave Charles Martin is Life Intercepted…football story and SO good. He can write!
I have The Last Exchange on my shelf, but not read yet. I read the Christmas book by Toni Shiloh. I have already picked my book for the prompt next month. It is When Twilight Breaks by Sarah Sundin.
I don't usually pay attention to awards, but I was pleasantly surprised to see some I've already read and loved on the list. I think you'd really enjoy He Should Have Told the Bees. The ones that piqued my interest and I can get on hoopla are The Rhythm of Fractured Grace and The Last Exchange. Looking forward to your thoughts on your pick.
Really liked The Foxhole Victory Tour - oooo The Warsaw Sisters I want to read. Oh yesss both of those Jaime Jo books are my fav!! Had to DNF Moonberry Lake, too new age for me.
I thought I had heard that about Moonberrt lake, but wasn't sure if that was the book. I think we should buddy read Warsaw Sisters in the year (too many to read yet this year).
Also, cheering you on! I see you're closing in on 1,000 subscribers!

I really liked When Twilight Breaks. Sarah Sundin is a great author.

I've owned He Should Have Told the Bees for a while so it's time for me to read it.
Love the spinning wheel 🫶🏻 such a great idea.
Thanks. I love using spinners to pick books.
I don't pay attention to the awards, but thank you for the time and effort. I think you will enjoy Castle Moreau when you get to it.
Hopefully, next year, I'll be more on the ball and have more time to read the finalists.

@@JaneReads yes! Let’s buddy read it, it will keep me accountable 🤣
Did I miss something? The Christy awards don’t do Romantic Suspense?
They lump it together in the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller category 🙁 ... we should protest that it deserves its own category!
@@JaneReadsyes it does 🥰
