You’re welcome! Before buying the Lectric XP I was frustrated no one had a video showing if it fit in a sedan style car. After I got the Lectric and got it to fit, my wife reminded me about my frustration and helped me film the video. Glad it was helpful!
Do you know what before I even got done finishing reading that comment I had already read your mind because I feel the same way!!💕 I drive a Toyota Camry and that is one of the reasons why I chose this bike because of the beauty of how it folds to fit in the car, but also to be stored in your home or your garage with a smaller footprint! :0)
Just know, one thing I forgot to mention is that if it’s tight going in and out of the trunk, taking the seat and handlebars out helps a lot. Sadly, I am selling that Camry this weekend. Love that car
Watch other videos demonstrating how one can transport without any lifting heavy foldable fat tire like Lectric XP3 e-bike. Simply slide the folded bike to raised vertically 38x21-inch plastic cargo tote/bin, then slide the container with folded e-bike handlebar into the trunk using foldable car dog ramp 21-in wide at least. This way without any lifting one can place even two foldable bikes in the trunk of his/her crossover/SUV. Have a nice e-bike trip!
I bought a few of those totes when I first got the ebike and tried them, I didn't like the pressure it put on some parts of the ebike (me just being extra picky) and since I didn't have an SUV anyway, decided to return the tote. My plan was to put the ebike on a table in the tote when storing it to save space or to transport it in the bed of my truck. As time has passed since, I think totes are a really good idea as the bikes are really tough and totes keep them very stable during transport.
Thanks for the loading/folding demo and now i'm hopeful that this will fit into my Accord. I'm amazed how few videos cover this important area of "FOLDING" bikes! If one can't load it, then why buy a folding type?
Glad it was helpful! I spent hours and hours searching for videos on anyone putting it in a car and hardly found any. My wife encouraged me to make the video after I complained about it.
Super helpful video! I've only discovered people putting them in RV's or van type vehicles, not a regular car trunk. Thanks for all the tips about what to watch out for during the process, too.

I got nervous trying to do this in my Tesla Model 3. It’s the weight that makes it hard to maneuver around and watching each part of the bike so that it doesn’t snag anything. I didn’t continue. I bought a smaller e-bike for times that I want to take the bike into DC trails. I use to ride all the way into the city. Getting lazy these days…lol

You can just leave the key in it so the battery doesn’t fall out. Learned that after my first time folding. I have truck now so don’t have to worry about folding anymore
Keep an eye on your key when you do the folding and unfolding to make sure that the cable doesn't bend it. There were a lot of people who bent/broke their keys in the early days of the 1.0 version from the underside cable hooking on it.
Thanks for the video. Can you provide the exact dimensions (L x W x H) of your trunk opening? Has anybody successfully fit the Lectric XP into a 2004 Honda Accord? Thanks in advance.
Oh! I used to have a 2003 Honda accord before I got the Camry and the Camry trunk definitely seems larger. I think It might fit in an Accord, but it will take some careful maneuvering and you’ll definitely want to have a moving blanket cover the entrance of the trunk area while putting it in. Also, I’d recommend quick release pedals as well.
@@EbikeProducts Thanks for your response. I'm thinking if I can get the ebike partially in the trunk, I can use a strap to semi-close the trunk's hood to the latch. 🤔
I don’t think so. It’s a pretty tight fit, but if you’re able to get the bike through the back door, it could work but that would be tough without a quick release front rim.
Thanks for posting. I’ve been searching for a specific videos showing if an eBike can fit in a Camry trunk. I will be getting my Radmini 4 next month and maybe I’ll post it for reference as well.
I was struggling earlier trying to put it back in my trunk by myself :( I had to drive when the trunk open lol. It kept getting stuck on the top part. Glad you had that extra little room
Thank you! I have ordered the bike without seeing one in the flesh (I live in rural WA), and the hints on folding are very welcome. Now please show us how your wife loads it by herself. I am taller (5'9") and I have a truck with ample space - but how can I lift it? A ramp of some sort? I've looked at hitch mounted lifts for deer hunters, but did not find one that could be mounted on a truck with canopy. I know I am not the only retired woman who wants to ride independently, so there must be a way. Please advise!
I think your may want to check out the youtube video that Ryan from ebike escape made about a rack he found. ruclips.net/video/cGJ2fA9rm3E/видео.html He has 2 ebikes that demonstrated with the rack, but that manufacturer may have a single usage rack that could be a fit for your truck. My wife is not able to life the ebike and even I need a back brace to help prevent strain pain. With a rear mounted rack, you could hold the rear brake and lift the front of the bike and swivel the front tire in the rack first, then you would only need to lift the back of the bike on to the rack after which would be a lot less weight to carry. The bike is too heavy for my wife to even fold and remove the battery. It would take a little practice, but I think the rear rack is doable for a lot of people. I plan to get a rear rack for my pickup truck one day because the bed of the truck is very high and even difficult for me to carefully load in by my self while making sure to not let it tip. One big tip I can give you is to buy a folding stool the extra height comes in handy in so many ways when you need to lift the bike. Sorry I can't be of more help with the advice.
@@EbikeProducts i may be a little dense, how can the stool help with loading into the trunk? I have a corolla and will have to fit it in there and I do worry about trying to do that. Thanks for your helpful ideas.
@@gtaterbug depending on how Tal and strong you are, a stool can be helpful in getting your ebike a higher starting point or get you more leverage without lifting the ebike so high since stepping up on a stool while lifting puts you higher with using your legs rather than your arms. I’d love to hear if you’re able to get it into a Corolla’s trunk.
Would you have the folding measurements. Height, Width, Deep. This if it's completely unfolded. I trying to fit in a 2010 Mini Cooper. Thank you in advance.
I’m really sorry. I don’t know the answer to that, but you should visit the facebook group and post that question. There’s probably someone that could give you an idea about that.
@@gmoneybags01 So I ended up ordering one and the XP 3.0 will not fit in the trunk of my IS250, however it can fit in the backseat. I just made sure to throw in a few thick blankets to avoid damaging the seats.
I have a 2011 C300 Mercedes and have been wondering if my 2.0 will fit in the trunk or not. Have seen some videos where owners are folding bikes and sticking them into 62 qt storage containers or smaller with wheels and sliding them in the back or maybe even the back seat. That looks fairly easy, but it's nice to have options.
Same. 2008 C300 and I’m desperate to know before attempting to lift the Lectric. Also, if one were to place the bike folded in to a 40 gallon tote, would it possibly fit in back seat? Seems I’m only person without an SUV.
@@raindanse8466 It does not fit in my C300 trunk, so I'm looking at more vids to see which container to buy. Leaning toward the Commander XXL 64 gallon or Craftsman 50 gallon, since I've seen both of those work. I was able to fold and set my bike in the backseat of my car on a piece of carpet and it worked fine, but don't want to take the chance of tearing or soiling upholstery. Lowes sells Craftsman, but not sure of Commander.
@@eldnah2 : Gratitude for the reply. I already have a huge blanket on standby in the attempt for the back seat. However, your spot on regarding the upholstery and since I’d be lifting solo I’ll have to forgo for now. Good looking out.
No, there is no need to put them down as the bike doesn't even touch the back of the seats and there is room to spare. Also the trunk height gets lower the further in you go so I keep the bike as far away from the seats as possible. By the way, I realize now that taking the handle bars out of the stem can also make it easier to fit if needed.
I'm not sure, but I would really worry about the car seats getting damaged. There are a lot of pointy parts and sharp things that could do some really bad damage to seats. Moving blankets could help protect your seats if you try and Harbor Freight often has them go on sale for really cheap. I have 4 of them I use to protect the bikes and my cars whenever I feel they could scratch something. Also, it may be very difficult to get it through the door space.
I got mine from a local drug store (CVS). I don’t see the same on on Amazon, but this on is very similar: amzn.to/3nY175V I like the futuro brand but not sure why Amazon doesn’t have the same one I do.
Great video. If necessary, I will fold my bike when I take my car to the shop during the pandemic. I have a liftback so putting it in the car is not a problem but I do recommend removing the battery and using a bungee cord when installing it inside the vehicle. I will admit the XP is a goofy bike to fold because of the fat tires. There are other ebikes that will fold easily into a car or to store them inside a home or office.
Taking the car to get serviced now is something I don't dread as much now that I know I get to go for a nice ride on my ebike rather than sit in a waiting room for a few hours. It didn't bother me as much before masks were required everywhere as I find it difficult to keep one on for a long period of time. Thanks for the comment!

i was wondering how it would fit if you didn't fold it. Just folding down the handlebar and the pedals and removing the seat but keeping the bike unfolded. If you put the car rear seats down, can you slide the bike into the trunk lengthwise ?
Mmmm.. I think you might be able to do that. My struggle would be the awkwardness of trying to wrestle with the bike being long while trying to work it in. Could work for someone strong enough.

Could you share (or re-share if already mentioned) the width and height in inches of the OPENING of your vehicle? While I own a large sedan w/a lot of space it's possible the opening might be smaller; so I'm hoping I won't have a ship-in-a-bottle scenario.... ;-)
That’s just the best thing ever when a bike like the Lectric XP also fits in a trunk of a car! No limitations to take it with you and no need to spend a ton on a heavy duty rack. Also, it’s hidden from view till you’re ready to ride!
I am going to have to guess that it probably won’t fit BUT I honestly don’t know the answer. If it does fit it will be tight. I used to have an old Mirage and the trunk wasn’t that big.
I am really not sure it will fit. Might be tough to get through the door frame. I thought about trying it, but it may damage your seat and I decided it wasn't worth the risk. There are parts that could easily tear the seat upholstery.
Wether the bikes will fit in different models of cars is something of intrest to a lot of people. The manufactures would do themselves a favor, if they would solicit information from the people who have bought their bikes, and then have that info on their web site. I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra sedan, and could use the info. The trunk is limited by the opening, but a bike would go through the side door easily. I am considering an XP, but hate to have to buy a hitch and rack, for almost the same cost as the bike itself.
I think the bike makers don't want to potentially discourage people from buying their products! I was disappointed to find that my XP won't fit in the back of my Kia Forte hatchback without folding down the seats and laying it on its side. I would have thought twice about buying it had I known.
👍🏽Thank you for this content! It help me alot to get a visual idea of what it would be like, I have a 01 Honda accord.. your car trunk space looks similar
Glad to help! I had an 02 Accord and it definitely had a big trunk too. I am not sure which is larger though. Good luck! I hope it fits. It's super nice to be able to put it in a trunk.
Good luck! Hopefully you get it soon! Once you get it, I think you'll feel it was worth the wait. I suspect wait time will only get longer from here and you'll think yourself lucky that you have yours when you get it. Supply chain issues for ebikes don't seem to be getting better and others (ebike shops and manufacturers) are hinting they are fearing things are only getting worse.

Oh that's good to know! So interesting that it would fit unfolded, but I guess that makes sense and it gets pretty wide when folded. Thanks for sharing about how you got it in. I am not sure I would've thought to not fold the bike to try putting it in a vehicle.
Wow, I wish I could do this. I hate the thought of buying a bike rack. Factoring rack with ramp, hitch, and installation, this cost almost as much as the bike! I was told from Lectra's support, not to lay the bike flat when transporting in car, even if the battery is removed. Would anyone know why? I'm a 64yo female, I'm not sure I could lift it into trunk.
I used to have a civic hatchback and I have to admit that any hatchback would easily fit most folding ebikes and some probably without having to lay the bike on its side. I bought the Camry about a year before I knew about ebikes and definitely would've bought a hatchback vehicle if I knew I'd get one. Cars like the Yaris are deceivingly large on the inside and I am amazed at how much can be put in them!
@@EbikeProducts No wonder sedans have given way to compact crossover vehicles, and they don't need to be huge either. I went to Orlando last year with 3 passengers and luggage for all. Just was unable to use inside rear view mirror.
Yeah, I think it’s going to be too big for a Corolla as it was a little tight with the Camry already. If I get a chance to try it, I’ll test the xp 2.0 and xp lite. I no longer have the xp 1.0 to try it.
I tried the tote thing with 2 different brand totes. The bike fit too tightly for my to feel comfortable leaving it in and was very hard to take in and out without needing 2 people as the tote needed to be held very sturdily with so much tension on it. I wonder if there is a market for an XP case? One that can close so it could be stacked?
I tried it the other way, but the handle bars and neck fold in the direction that could really damage other stuff that are harder to repair if they bend or break. You also don't want pressure on the brake rotors too. As long as you don't have the bike in a position that the derailleur is having a lot of weight on it, I found this method really was the safest in the trunk but also the easiest way to lift in and out.
I swear everybody has a truck, jeep, or SUV but me. Finally I’m seeing a normal car fitting in the Lectric bike. Hallelujah, thank you.

I've looked at hitch mounted lifts for deer hunters, but did not find one that could be mounted on a truck with canopy. I know I am not the only retired woman who wants to ride independently, so there must be a way. Please advise!
I think your may want to check out the youtube video that Ryan from ebike escape made about a rack he found. ruclips.net/video/cGJ2fA9rm3E/видео.html
He has 2 ebikes that demonstrated with the rack, but that manufacturer may have a single usage rack that could be a fit for your truck.
5'9 is not tall my friend.
I forgot to say I really like your videos - they are excellent.
Happy to hear that!
Ugh I wish I bough the regular bike. I bought the trike and I don’t think it’ll fit in my Honda civic lol
Yeah, those trikes are a lot of fun, but storaging and transporting them can be rough without a truck. They really take a lot of space.
Where did you get the long velcro strap? Great idea!
This is the pack that I bought that had the long straps in them.

Just bought a Lectric xp 2.0 and put it into the backseat of my Civic. I am a strong 65 year old.
Would you have the folding measurements. Height, Width, Deep. This if it's completely unfolded. I trying to fit in a 2010 Mini Cooper. Thank you in advance.
Do you think a Letric 2.0 can fit into a 2nd gen Lexus IS250?? Please help.
I’m really sorry. I don’t know the answer to that, but you should visit the facebook group and post that question. There’s probably someone that could give you an idea about that.
@@EbikeProducts no worries and thanks for the quick reply! Take care
I'm actually wondering this same thing now ha. Did you ever find out if an XP fits in an IS250 trunk?
@@renecastro7843 hey mate, sorry for the late reply. I actually passed on not getting the bike. Figured it wouldn’t fit. 😅 cheers!
Do you put your backseats down when you put your ebike in?
No, there is no need to put them down as the bike doesn't even touch the back of the seats and there is room to spare. Also the trunk height gets lower the further in you go so I keep the bike as far away from the seats as possible. By the way, I realize now that taking the handle bars out of the stem can also make it easier to fit if needed.
@@EbikeProducts oh OK that’s good to know. I just got mine today. They just delivered it on my deck today so I have my son help me set it up.
Do you think it would be possible to get it into the rear seat?
I'm not sure, but I would really worry about the car seats getting damaged. There are a lot of pointy parts and sharp things that could do some really bad damage to seats. Moving blankets could help protect your seats if you try and Harbor Freight often has them go on sale for really cheap. I have 4 of them I use to protect the bikes and my cars whenever I feel they could scratch something. Also, it may be very difficult to get it through the door space.
Can you provide a link to the back brace you're using?
I got mine from a local drug store (CVS). I don’t see the same on on Amazon, but this on is very similar: amzn.to/3nY175V
I like the futuro brand but not sure why Amazon doesn’t have the same one I do.
I have a older jeep wrangler, XP fits really good upright
NICE! A Jeep Wrangler with a Lectric XP along for the ride... Sounds like an epic adventure is about to happen!

Another great Video thanks for doing them
Glad you like them! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate the kind words and support!
thinking of getting an E bike, but my trunk already has tools. do you think it would fit in the back seat of a mid size car like a camry?

@@EbikeProducts yeah moving blankets would have been so much better lol i just used my regular blankets, but theyre not too durable.
Could you share (or re-share if already mentioned) the width and height in inches of the OPENING of your vehicle? While I own a large sedan w/a lot of space it's possible the opening might be smaller; so I'm hoping I won't have a ship-in-a-bottle scenario.... ;-)
I have a Honda Accord 07 sedan and y Lectric bike fits perfect in my trunk
That’s just the best thing ever when a bike like the Lectric XP also fits in a trunk of a car! No limitations to take it with you and no need to spend a ton on a heavy duty rack. Also, it’s hidden from view till you’re ready to ride!
Will it fit in a Mitsubishi Mirage G4?
I am going to have to guess that it probably won’t fit BUT I honestly don’t know the answer. If it does fit it will be tight. I used to have an old Mirage and the trunk wasn’t that big.
@@EbikeProducts Got my XP2 and Hoo Ray! it fits good in the trunk of my Mitsubishi Mirage G4.
@@jaykay9034 REALLY? That's amazing! I am shocked it can fit. Congrats on getting your XP2!!!
wil it fit in the back seat of a camry ?
Excelent work. I hv a Kia soul which now thanks to you I can fit my Lectric into it nicely!
Awesome, glad it was helpful. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you for sharing! I’ve been searching this exact scenario!

Thanks for posting!
Thank you for the info. This helps me

Thanks for the video! Can't wait to try in my trunk - VW Passat ... oh wait.. I'm still waiting for it.. hahaha
Great presentation! Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words and watching the video! I appreciate the support.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!!!! I was wondering how to pull this off and with these instructions I think I can do it.
Great, you are my hero!
Watched this after breaking the screen on my bike transporting it... good to know how to move it now atleast
Thanks for info!👍
You bet! I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Great vid !! Thanks. We get 2 easy in our Rav4 and probably could get 3 in.
Thanks for sharing! I am actually considering getting a Rav4 to replace our old 2013 Tacoma pickup truck. If we ever get a second folding ebike it's great to know that the Rav4 is another reason we should consider it.
@@EbikeProducts We have a 2016 and 2014 rav 4 . The worst part is they're the same color !!! We bought the 2016 new and then the 2014 last summer used. Its hard to find used as everyone want too much for them..But theres a good deal out there if ya look. Our 16 has never been in the shop except you know? tires , brake pads... V-Good suv..And our 14 too never been in the shop, but we haven't had that long. Keep the vids coming ...Thank you. oh ,,ya have to get the is it Northern freight or tool? trailer hitchh fat tire ebike carrier. It was 130$ I think they're 160$ now? carries 200lbs. That thing is so simple to hall your bike. Way easier than folding it etc..but I know theres reasons to put it inside the truck . Did you see that guys youtube vid , he put a 1000w front hub motor on his lectric xp so theres duel motors and ones a 1000 WATT hub !!!! That thing must fly and the power? I think his name is grizzly or something bear ish?
@@rustymeyers1 can you post a video on transporting in RAV4 with two bikes. Just wanted to know before I buy the bikes.
@@vs6462 I can not. We gave the lectrics to family members and bought different bikes. The lectrics fit tubs. They (2) easily fit folded in a Rav4 weather they're in the tubs or not.
2000 Audi A4 1.8turbo won't fit folded, back seat down unfolded through trunk will fit.
This is why I will never buy another sedan again. My E bike fits into my tiny Yaris hatch w/o even lowering the rear seats.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks, you too!
This is helpful 👍 thanks!
Glad to hear it!
If you never custed before you will folding and unfolding your bike
Okay but that's a full size car
What about the Toyota Corolla Maybe it won't fit
Yeah, I think it’s going to be too big for a Corolla as it was a little tight with the Camry already. If I get a chance to try it, I’ll test the xp 2.0 and xp lite. I no longer have the xp 1.0 to try it.
now do the same thing with it in a 45-gallon tote
I tried the tote thing with 2 different brand totes. The bike fit too tightly for my to feel comfortable leaving it in and was very hard to take in and out without needing 2 people as the tote needed to be held very sturdily with so much tension on it. I wonder if there is a market for an XP case? One that can close so it could be stacked?
Why don’t you just load the bike the other way so the derailer is facing up and no weight is on it duh
Because the screen might get crushed on the handlebars on the bottom.
Eccuse me that's unforded.
