@@Amcsae Mike Leach, who was MS State's coach, passed away back in December. He was known as "The Pirate" because of his obsession with them. Also, he coined the phrase "Swing Your Sword" from his Friday Night Lights appearance.

I’m not even a fan of the SEC because I’m from Pittsburgh and we unfortunately have to play in the ACC but I didn’t expect to start crying at the end of the SEC shorts. Rest in peace mike leech you were the best

I cry at the end of all sec shorts all the time! because I made it through a once fantastic written sketch show that's been on a steady decline and can now embrace the love that is SEC Roll Call

Life long Texas Tech fan here. We never lost our love and respect for The Captain. We're heartbroken by his passing. Thank you Matt for honoring our best coach ever.
Aggie but respect Tech and I was just getting into football when he was yalls head coach. Tech was so exciting under Leech... and as an Aggie I'll cheer for anyone if they're beating the Horns. Miss Leech a lot. He was such fun to watch and a true individual who did his own thing and did it brilliantly

I kept happily waiting to see MISS STATE… and then immediately teared up like the 33 year old man that I am. Thank you Coach!

I'm a Gator fan, sad to say this tracks. I loved the end of the video. I may not have liked any of the teams he coached for; But I still appreciated his insight, his innovation, and more than everything his humor. He'll be missed by so many. But he'll never go away as he has a big coaching tree. RIP Coach Leach, hope you get the answers to all of your kooky questions.

Regardless of people on ESPN who were paid largest sum of money known to man, prior to NIL, to play at SMU attempting to smear him. His personality is lovable and his football IQ is unique. Here’s to calm seas and cool breezes for the Buccaneer!

The schedule next year is tough, but if the scheme and talent come together I think we've got the staff to be a lot more competitive than most non UK fans think. RIP Pirate, Hail State from a cats fan who remembers the Couch days.
The Mike Leach tribute was fantastic. Been watching these sense they came out and everyone made me cry laughing. Today I cried due to sadness. Thank you for reminding us all of the icon that was the pirate. Thank you and see you in the fall.

As a UK fan who was so let down this whole season these videos were one of the high points, it was fun to have a laugh with all the other SEC fans, even damned Tennessee. Ending was amazing, Leach was Couch's OC and he was the most enigmatic figure in CFB, and probably all of sports. RIP Pirate.
Aww man... I was not expecting that ending... I didn't even think about it, but I couldn't even imagine. That would be just so hard. He passed before the season was even over, but from what I've read he was a great guy. Left a lasting legacy on all of college football

Yeah, I think Matt slipped off the comedy for a split second into the way he actually felt. I told my fellow UGA fans there would be tons of this if we pulled if off. No one wants to just settle at "GOOD JOB!", there's always a "But you're not there yet like we are/were!" Oh well, winning drowns all that out :)

@@chuckjcarter At least Alabama has a leg to stand on with that argument (and I say that as a UGA alum and fan) what's REALLY sad is all the butthurt Ohio State fans who keep saying they "should" have been national champions despite the fact OSU was at home watching the B1G Conference Championship *AND* the Natty on TV.
@@jakecarter9920 I hear ya. All I'm saying is if we're going to say history MUST be matched before a team is recognized, Bama is still trailing Yale in national titles. The argument can get silly is my point, I guess.
As far as those OSU fans, yeah they've been really whiny. I've seen it from others as well. Watch Rich Eisen's podcast on video (he's a Michigan man). He refuses to admit Georgia was the best and insinuates Michigan might be better. He uses extensive mental gymnastics with ipso facto style transitive reasoning. His co-host and him argue pretty heatedly about this but you can just hear the bitter saltiness in his tone the whole time.
3 minutes of laughs, 15 seconds of tears. Beautiful.

@@coreydickey3657 I think the entire state of Mississippi is mourning the loss of The Pirate. Even Ole Miss fans loved Mike Leach because of his unique and quirky nature. Leach had a way to bring a smile to everyone's faces.

Way to go my Dawgs! Way to win for the Pirate other bulldogs! But funniest line has to be when Arkansas says "it took 8 years off my life just to win the AutoZone Bowl!" That was a messed up wild ending and that's coming from a UGA alum who had to leave the room alot because the Peach Bowl was stressing me out too much!!! I cannot imagine what the Arkansas fans were feeling! It was out of control. Sorry for SCar, that was a sad one to lose. Congrats to TN, LSU.and Bama who really showed why top in SEC are so tough and win BIG. Congrats MS and Arkansas for never giving up. Hoping to see all nonconference Wins for everyone next season including Scar beating Clemson again and FL beating FSU! 🏈❤️
