That’s the whole goal isn’t it? Make truck drivers slaves to debt. All these trucks are cheaply made, and their service dept are a joke. Its robbery!! All these “upgrades” are for mega carriers that put any ass in their seats. We’re going the wrong direction folks!
@@user-FTRU6GJ Unfortunately, the programming required to either fix or reset the electronics is proprietary and your local mechanic, good as he is, won't have access. Progress drives about anything other than an oil change to a dealer.

what's crazy is i have a '24 Freightliner Cascadia with a D15 and I have a check engine light on for the engine control management system "MCM" and they have no fix for it that to reprogram the mcm... that fix lasted 3 days and the light came back on.
I have a ‘25 with a DD13 with the exact same issue. My CEL came back on last week after they addressed this problem. No driveability issues though, so I’m just going to ignore it until I go home for Thanksgiving. It’s not worth the downtime for something so trivial
I don’t think most people do, but there’s not much we can do about it. In a few incidents it’s been dangerous for me. The road had faded lines and the most prominent markings on the road were grooves that ran at a 40° angle. It shoved me into the right 2 lanes and if it wasn’t for my quick reaction time hitting the left blinker and turning the wheel, it would’ve been my first and only accident. I don’t know a single person likes the new tech. Safe to say nobody who drives for a career likes it, but it inevitable to have it on all trucks from all manufacturers considering drivers have very little input for most manufacturers.
I can already hear all the annoying notification this truck is going to be giving you really won’t be able to do NOTHING! Without something buzzing or chiming 😒😒 you can tell these people have NEVER! Driven a truck
Is this design going to be standard? I know they still offered the previous design until the end of 2019 when they came out with the new design in 2017
Fuel economy is fantastic, but honest all this lane daparture, collision avoidance and adaptive cruise is the furthest thing from safety ever. Try driving in Canadian winters with that garbage. The sensors get covered with ice and salt, set off the error faults and guess what, no abs, no traction control, no cruise control, brakes locking up on ice, everything safety is no longer operational. Nothing but an accident waiting to happen. Ad that to new unexpierienced drivers, disaster. Not to mention the brakes slamming on ,on an interstate at 65mph because the trucks adaptive cruise thinks your on a 30mph off ramp when your clearly not. Absolute garbage no other way aroud it. It should be outlawed
In my first cascadia and yup, slammed on the brakes on me on the trans canada. I was empty, thank christ dry road but scared the crap outta me. Hate all this crap, remove it, this is not SAFE at all. What would be safe is stop hanging out class 1 to people who can not drive!

@@wizard_of_poz4413 my only dislike with freightliner is that they are built in Mexico and the Cascadia has a fiberglass body. Worked for Freightliner dealer for 25 years...if this all works, great! if it needs fixing, at a $200/hour labor rate, take out a mortgage!
Any smart owner isn’t taking his out of warranty truck to the dealer

@ unfortunately that’s going to happen a lot more with newer vehicles even cars. Your forced to go there and get ripped off.
Good looking truck , same cab since 2006 it looks like
Possibly one of the best cabins out there
Here we go with all that tech. If you want to be beeped at with no way of turning it off then this is the truck for you
Watching this while in the bunk of a current cascadia.

hijackers going to love this truck safety stop feature
I think I missed the part about the updated interior upgrades? 🤷♂️

Great looking Truck but, is that the condenser I see thru that "grill"?
Seems if that's left open like that, it will need to be replaced often.
Oh my lord not a cooler that's at the front of a moving vehicle like we've had for 100 years?
How much money do I save if I don't want any of those features?
Can I have permission to use this in a segment of one of my VLOGs? I will, of course, give credit to your channel.
Frick i enjoy freightliner. When I'm behind the wheel totally locked in . But Frick those error messages is a pain in the butt
cool bumper. How often will it need to be repaired?

too low clearance for usa broken roads

new hood?😢 Mercedes help them make a good and new truck!!!
Well I'm hard.
More "safety" stuff so new drivers can continue to be on their phones and have their left foot on the dash. Guarantee it'll still ride like shit
No body wants to hear alarms going off everytime a car passes you, or if you go over the white line. Won't buy this.
Weak truck, 2.23 ratio☠️ still a freight shaker and forever be inferior to both peterbilt and international
