- Today we'll take a look at the best Madden ever made! Due to having to use my actual PS2 and disk you will notice that the gameplay is a bit glitchy because the disk isn't in the greatest condition.

Ps2/Xbox era Madden is the GOAT
It's just madness they were able to cram so much content in these ps2 games, and we don't even have an 1/8th of this in current Madden. Their motivation was definitely much different back then before the age of connected franchises and MUT. Really they didn't have much of a choice if they didn't want the game to get boring when you're primarily playing against the CPU.
And although 2k didn’t have a game at this point Madden did have competition in the early 2000s
Amen to that. Just imagine how much stuff they could put into current gen consoles. And I'm not talking pointless mind-numbing crap that has nothing to do with anything or waists time. I'm talking about an in-depth career/super-star mode or a franchise mode that's thru the f'ing roof. How about online leagues? I'm talking legit top-shelf online leagues. None of this ass hat butt rock crap EA has.

@@beibsgaming Was a great team, but sadly lost one of their starting safeties to the Titans in FA, which would lead to them signing a safety that would help them in another SB.
I had to go back to this era of Football games; just more fun and character.
And the SOUNDTRACK is great. It isn't just nonsense mumble rap that most Caucasians and people over 30 don't know like today.
The soundtrack for '07 was God Tier.

I started my Franchise mode already and im using my NCAA rosters. This game still holds up today.

Loved this game as a kid! My personal favorite was 06! McNab and the eagles slapped.
I have 06 as well! I’ve thought about doing some kind of series with it since I have NCAA 06! I have a memory card with the actual roster names on NCAA 06 so importing the draft classes into Madden would be fun.

Last year I went out and bought all of the ncaa/madden games for the 6th grn consoles. Got them dirt cheap and have been enjoying them greatly. The 07 games were great!
There’s a store near me that sells them very cheap! It’s amazing that they still hold up so well!

Out of the maddens I played growing up this was probably my favorite. Besides this my others I liked that I played was 2003, 2004, 10, 11 and liked 12 too. After 12 I just happened to take a break from getting football games but also seems like it was probably worked out anyways cause after 12 I think it was starting to go downhill. The recent maddens I've played the past couple years are just okay. Just not the same or as good as games made a decade or more ago which is a shame.
Madden 12 was truly the last “good” Madden
Madden was slightly better on the original Xbox over the ps2 due to memory storage & significantly faster load times, especially when simming through franchise.
I was able to get a memory card with more storage so hopefully that makes it so I can do more

Glad I was able to have that game. Only reason I wasn't able to play it even years later because it got scratched up. You can do everything else except play a full game but yeah this was my childhood, Used to love playing that hall of fame career mode
That’s the one thing about modern gaming haha. Don’t have to worry about scratching the disk because you can just get the digital version
it’s the best Madden ever. just bought a ps2 slim to play this game on franchise mode. they just need to remake this game remastered with updated rosters every year and I’d be happy
I also remember when you played this game online they gave you trophies 🏆 for things you did and you could track your stats and compare them to your friends stats. Then you could play a ranked hardcore match and it showed next to your name you was a all madden skill player
I remember them forgetting to put the quarter on the score overlay, and also they took out gang tackles this year for some reason, but still one of my favorites.
04-08 were classic
The most important attribute to make the vision cone bigger was actually awareness that’s why nobody’s was bigger than Tom Brady & peyton manning cause they were the only qb’s with 99 awareness rating

Hey what’s up man I would have to agree this madden and madden 04 are at the top of my radar, currently I’m doing some playoff classics from the 2006-07 season for Madden 07…also modded some uniforms like the New York Giants…check it out when you get the chance!
ya this was released in the off-season right after super bowl XL. it was a tough season for the Steelers, because even though they lost their locker room leader in Bettis, a lot of ppl predicted that the Steelers would be one of the NFL’s best. they were wrong. if i remember correctly ’06 was the first season they decided to open the playbook and let Ben throw the ball. i wanna say he practically doubled the amount of passing attempts p/game compared to his 1st two seasons. he threw so many INTs-more picks than TDs. hey, they still managed .500 despite the turnovers and unreal injuries. most importantly though, Roethlisberger figured out how to throw the ball in the NFL well enough to earn a gold jacket in Canton, Ohio.
As Steelers fans we are so blessed to have had a guy like Big Ben! Let’s hope that Kenny Pickett can have similar success throughout his career!

The franchise mode was fun to do, each time the CPU cuts their players when their contracts expire, i grab them right away to a 4+ year deal to prevent CPU from bidding on them.
It’s a classic! Players could hold out as well!

Gives them a 5+ year contract, then they sign it right away, rigging the entire franchise in favor of the user team.
I can’t get into superstar mode due to one reason and that’s because. When you get drafted you can never get taken #1.
And before 09 you couldn’t super sim
I am playing Madden 07 emulated in 4K on Pc since a few weeks again and I’m having more than than I ever had with a modern Madden title
As a Charger fan. Donnie Edwards was a cheat code. That man picked off almost every pass the AI threw over the middle. Dude was an absolute unit in this game. So don’t feel bad for any of those picks. He was cracked.
You would wait til the off-season for the upgrades early Madden games don't have scouting til the draft where you can scout the rookies

This just gave me ridiculous nostalgia... so many hrs spent on this game as a 10-11 year old kid. It will forever be my favorite madden of all time.

Madden 07 was great. Growing up I'm played Madden 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 10, 11 and 12 because those games was really really good. In my opinion the downfall of Madden started with Madden 13. Ever since Madden NFL 13 came out, Madden has never been same since.

@beibsgaming Yeah like ever since Madden 13, it's like EA doesn't care about making a better care because all they about us money money money. Ultimate Team has clearly ruined Madden and Franchise hasn't received any update or hasn't been good since Madden 12. But everytime when me, you and other people like us that criticize the game, they don't listen to criticism at all

@@beibsgaming Wait... but it's *faster*. You ever try to navigate a Madden menu since 16? (At least; I skipped 13-15) It takes a minute to move what you're highlighting, then you have to hit "A" about 4 or 5 times before it registers and goes to the load menu, then another 4-5 button presses before it registers that you hit it...

Over a month and a half madden has been out and still haven’t fixed the draft class. It’s disgusting how trash at their job they are and how they don’t care. The reason 2k has to make a game so there’s competition to actually do their job
Dude it honesty pisses me off! I’ve been waiting and waiting to start my franchise on the game, but can’t. The thing that pisses me off most is the fact that they give you one update and then you don’t hear anything further.

Honestly, the lifespan of current Maddens, for me, is about 2 months tops. I don’t mess around with UT casino shite and the rest of the year I basically play 2k5 and Madden 7.
I would love to be able to play franchise on the current madden, but it truly feels like they don’t care about franchise mode one bit.
You are right. They put the most effort into MUT because of the tons of money they make from it. As far as the rest of the game they know millions will buy it every year regardless of how bad it is so they put minimal effort into it because they know we want the new rosters.

@@beibsgaming well not necessarily. I see a lot more people getting hip to it and complaining. I know there are a lot others like myself that have stopped buying it every year. That's how we control it by not buying the new ones until they change. Myself I bought a PS2 and 360 so I could play NFL 2k5 and all pro 2k8. I have been having so much fun playing those. However I do miss playing online but we have to make the stand.
Fuck all these amazing game modes..... give me ultimate team haha, just playing these older games blow the new ones out of the water

This madden sucks. Players don't improve unless they win a super bowl, then they're all in the 90s. No natural player progression. Madden 04 and 05 are way better. Plus the regular season stats are broken and madden 04 and 05 are good.
I will certainly keep that in mind!
