All the additional files are now online, including the save file. Find and error with the build... I DARE YA. :)
This was a very fun one, sorry it took a while. Next factory will likely be getting things together for a Space Elevator Parts Factory!
Darren, that splitter bug can easily be resolved in your case by removing it altogether. Just make a 90 degree belt turn on that upper level. Then you can use the conveyor lift as originally designed. Hope this helps.
Great content! Looking forward to the next build!
'Powering on my Rubber...' = best notification ever XD
Fun fact: If you're using OBS and the NVEnc encoder, all the capturing, compositing and compression is done on the graphics card, meaning the system overhead is very slight, just like GeForce Now.
CPU has to run obs though :P thats what I found the biggest issue to be. Seems to take 10% of my cpu for some reason.
One of my favorite factories of yours! Missed a few episodes but so glad to be back!
Darren is love, Darren is satisfactory
Thank you for another great video and more satisfactory content! I learned today that you can trash liquid inventory from a refinery by moving it to your trash can. That’s really helpful!
*gets notification* "Powers on Rubber..." lol im going back to work...
A weird bug - I've seen that before. I was able to resolve it by removing the splitter, then doing the lifts and getting that link done.. Then add the splitter back in. That always has resolved it for me.
What a great build! Loving the series and looking forward to more, thanks Darren!
Let's goooo. I may be behind on the series, but no harm in watching the most recent episode 😊
man i started playing satisfactory when u started your first series. i see your video and i immediately want to start again XD this game is addicting XD
great job on the video, and on the factory.. i love watching your builds!! hopefully i can catch you on a friday stream someday (my day off work) and i love that you include a small bit of the fast forward building, it's fun to watch all the connections needed in **Hyperdrive!!** haha!!
At the end to fix that splitter and lift bug you could have just removed the last spitter and replaced it with a conveyor turn. Would look cleaner
Love your vids man!
Yay! Best monday ever!
Well done bub! Best steel factory I've seen. Looking forward to your stream. Hope life is treating you well.
Nice video, really enjoying this series. The sped up section adding the mergers and belts was a little disorientating. :D Also your trucks seem well behaved, can you have a word with mine and tell them to get their act together?
Honestly I'm not sure what made them all fall in line so nicely!
For the bug, you don't need a splitter there. Just leave the splitter out
Good point!
I think the bug is not exactly that. Try to build lift, do not connect conveyor to it and via dismantle mode look at lift and see if it has any ingots in it (I believe that there will be). If yes, then the bug is not with lift, but with belt. When a lift is so close to splitter, a belt is connected to splitter instead of lift. You even have it in video, 59:44 when I saw an ingot spawn on belt when a lift is already removed. To fix it, try to remove splitter, build a lift connect it to a belt and then build a splitter again. Hope that will help
once again, I thank you for saving me from sinking 193248018234 hours into Satisfactory by playing it for me ;D
Hi, I went to your live video and watched your screw problem and downloaded your latest save. You're looking at this backwards. No matter what you do on the screw side, it won't help the rotors fill up. You properly observe the issue on the live stream - you see the belt stopping on the rotor side. Your rotor belts aren't fast enough which is why the screws are backing up. Your belt math is off because you're assuming a constant pull rate. But each rotor assembler does 3.2 cycles a minute and doesn't pull an even amount every minute. In the first minute it will start 4 cycles (and pull 100 screws), and then pull 75 (6.4 cycles), 75 (9.6), 75 (12.8), 75 (16). 80% of the time an assembler will be in a 75/minute state - the first three machines have a ~50% chance of all being in that state (.80^3). During this time, 255/m screws are trying to go up to the next 3 assemblers. However, the rate will burst higher because each assembler has a 37.5% chance of being full (1 - 75/120) so a screw has a 5.2% of of skipping past the first three - or 25 screws a minute (480*.052). This increases the max rate to 280 (255+25 ) and exceeds your Mk3 lift rate - and is why you see the line briefly stutter. You need to increase it to a mk4 lift and that should resolve your screw bottleneck. An MK3 belt after that splitter is finally fast enough to handle the flow even when the first 4 assemblers are full (1.9% chance).
Next big project : Do a big building in the shape of a soda can :D
Hey, Daren, just a little question about recording issues: not as recommendation, but just out of curiosity for further investigation, how practical it would be to have a separate PC with capture card on it (like console setup often is)?
I used to do that, I streamed with a seperate PC using a capture card. I found it very tedious and annoying, so instead I invested more money into this PC to be powerful enough to be able to do it itself. I suppose buying and running two computers seems like overkill when this should just work, and did until very recently. I'm sure I just need to reinstall or reconfigure something. I just hate PC's and anything hardware related, but your suggestion is perfectly valid!
@@WhatDarrenPlays got it, thanks for answering. I was always interested in what is more easy to deal with: one very powerful PC which can do anything on it's own, or one still powerful PC and another PC with capture card.
I still can't make signals to work on my save, so yeah, I'm eager to see that video with T jonctions :)
6:00 Maybe it's the machine's cache, the machine has a buffer of manufactured parts. Maybe it's something related to that.
Im pretty sure the bug can be traced back splitters - I had something simillar with the Turbo Fuel Factory.....Coal and Sulpher kept switching lines. I still dont know how I fixed it.
Hi Darren, love the your channel I watch all of your video and you've got me hooked on satisfactory I've downloaded your save file so I could continue along with you but in the crate at the hub there is only a parachute in there and nothing else. just wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
Hey man, loving this series. In regards to the weird splitter bug, would replacing the one splitter, next to the lift, which is causing issues with a smart splitter that's configured with zero output on that side help? I was just thinking as I watched this episode if the lift couldn't pull material from that side of the splitter, that might help with the bug. Not a huge issue since you found a work-around. But, if changing the splitter to a smart splitter works, that could help with the aesthetics of the build instead of re-routing the lifts.
The splitter there is useless. He could just not have one
Have you thought about using the infinite zoop mod? Or the mod that allows vertical nudge?
Yeah i don't want to use any mods, people watch and ask questions about how to do things, I don't want to tell them "oh its a mod"
I'll probably do a modded playthrough when 1.0 is out for a bit.
I tried to delete one auto save of my first and only satisfactory world. It deleted all of my manual saves and all of the auto saves. I was under the impression you could delete just one autosave due to me being able to select it. I don't know if I'll ever play again.
Did they change how the animations work at a distance? I played a few years ago and I dont remember animations being so laggy at a distance. I even have a couple videos of a factory where all the animations are smooth as far as I can see. My computer definitely wasnt as good as the one I have now. I even disable DLSS thinking maybe that was the culprit but its the same no matter what settings I use. ODD adjustment if they did this on purpose.
They did, performance savings I guess. I would like if they added an animation render distance option
That would be nice. The jittering animations are weird to see. Considering they have DLSS now, why they do that? LoL... Thanks for the Vids, they really help me get back into it.
I encountered a strange problem, I noticed that when I approached some machines they stopped producing the resource, in the end I ended up discovering that it was my jetpack that for some reason was automatically putting the machines in standby mode, I reloaded the game and the problem persisted. , I realized that by removing and putting the jetpack back on the problem stopped and so far it hasn't happened again. I forgot to mention that when I walked away from the machines they started working normally again.
Hey maaaaaan❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Darren can we please get more city skylines 2 love them❤
Bro its been a month please upload cs2
Day 1 of asking for V RISING play through
Gonna be a long time asking. I love the game, streamed it when it released initially but it viewed very poorly so wont be playing it here. Sorry!
Crapppppp. I’ve been binge watching these videos and did not realize there weren’t more. Crap.
my people keep starving :(
make sure you report the bug fun episode to watch though
