They don't have an amazing connection at all, they have got something that looks fake and wreaks of desperation. All the lame, lame jokes are utterly forced and never funny despite him fake laughing at them. Get a new battery, clean out mouse nest and make sure the wiring isn't chewed up, remove all old fuel, add fresh and cycle the key through until fuel is fresh and clear coming out of carb delivery pipe. Remove carb and take off bowl. If kinda clean inside make sure both jets, main and low speed especially. Reassemble and see how she goes. Don't crank it or kick it to death before u do ALL of above. 12 years at motorcycle shop. 2005 are known for early crank bearing failure. Change oil a lot. Text if u need more info. Good luck.

You should be able to find the manual online, also if your wife ever decides to want the ruckus to go faster most modern scooters can be easily hopped up by adding/removing a plate in the clutch, should allow it to go up to 45mph, which after she feels confident on it will make it more fun for her. I'm glad you got a good deal on the scooter as decent runnin bikes seem to go for about 1k$ & Hondas are reliable & long lasting. Good luck & may you have many years of fun & safe riding
Awesome video. My first impression of how it ran when you first got it going was due to the lack of oil in the cylinder. Maybe there's some stuff I didn't see that was done off camera, but a great tip for anyone starting a motor after sitting a substantial length of time is to take out the plug, drop a tad of oil or WD-40 in the compression chamber, and crank. What a great find!
Right and that might be what the previous owner did wrong as well. Anyway that gasoline was ancient and was the oil even looked at??? or the spark plug?? Oh well, they got her going !!!

What plate in the clutch? You mean the rollers?
Its not in the clutch its in the variator
Please edit your comment to say, a plate in the torque variator.... if people start taking clutch plates out its going to get messy 😉
Is there even a clutch plate in a scooter? I know clutch springs, but no clutch plate.
Nilo Baranda it depends how the centrifugal clutch works/ if it's the adjustable kind..... mostly in my experience the answer is no though.
