@@PraskaBoysGarage if the intake was kracked and had a gap between the carb and allowed the air to go through is that the reason why it's not pulling fuel

Do you guys know of a good motor mount for a 150cc engine swap on one of these?
GY6 150 should do the trick!
I plan to do a lot of testing on mine and that is one of them!
@@PraskaBoysGarage It will be awesome to come along with you. Can't wait for the videos👍👍
I have this same bike in blue mine hits 45 mph stock all tht was done was cdi and air filter and new tires cause the ones tht are on it suck .... just a heads up I putting a lot of stress on tht motor with no exhaust it will blow easy
By your RUclips name I can tell I have the right guy in my comments for this video!!! Thanks for commenting, and with the performance kit we purchased that will definitely be addressed.
I have a question I've got a 2012 taotao ATA125-E atv I've cleaned the carb and it still only starts if you put fuel in the carb I dont know what else
To be honest for the cost of a replacement carb I usually just buy new. It's saves a lot of time and headaches!
@@PraskaBoysGarage if the intake was kracked and had a gap between the carb and allowed the air to go through is that the reason why it's not pulling fuel
@@gunsandhorsepower For sure, a vacuum leak will cause a lot of problems. Since the fuel pump vacuum comes right off the intake I'm sure that was a huge issue!
@@PraskaBoysGarage I ordered a kit kind of thing on amazon it comes with a carb intake gaskets spark plug fuel lines and feul filter and yea it would fire if I sprayed fuel down it but if you tried start it would just crank I got it for my 16 birthday and I'm almost 18 and I've never ride it
Its hard to kill a gy6 we have an old 150 gy6 quad and it's been taking a beating since 03 and still going
I don't have a lot of experience with them, but from what I see they have a huge following and tons of aftermarket parts available. I have a feeling the channel will be seeing more of them in the future!
Not that hard. They'll burn up real quick if running lean.
Something's different... did you put more lights in the garage?
Good catch, I added 6 8' LED light bars. I can't tell if they helped or made it almost too bright!
@@PraskaBoysGarage It's perfect!
Great project BJ. But how much power can you get from a 50cc motor with after market mods and 185lbs+ men riding it? It needs 110cc or bigger.
Thanks! I really don't know what to expect. I've limited my research only because I want to learn from my own experiences, so we will see how it turns out. My hope is that we can reach 50 mph and still have some get up and go before attempting the motor swap.
Where you guys located?
Nice vid but I have a question, so which is the clone the Chinese or the Ice Bear
Ice Bear is the company that sells the Chinese clone.
What happened to your ruckus?.
Where do you buy a clone?
I love it
Thanks Alvin!
Intake valve needs to be .004, exhaust at .005
I saw that, unfortunately I need new feeler gauges because the lowest mine has is .005"
Where are you located?
Do you guys work on these motors for people out of state
Not right now, but hopefully soon in the future we will be able to offer performance builds. That's in the works right now!
we missd you man
I missed you to brother!
You live in a lovely part of America
Thank you, we love it here! I'm over the snow and ready for spring to get here now!
I vant watin to see your honda ruck build
All the parts are in but 1 major piece that's on back order...coming soon!
Bro you think you can get your hands on one of those 200cc China quads ?
Been looking for a 150cc-250cc for awhile now! They just don't come up often for sale on Facebook Marketplace. When I see one at a reasonable price I'll be sure to pick it up!
😂 that damn thing has been past the gasket for ten years lol. How in the hell do I not notice that.
What has been past the gasket?
I'd love to know what the brand and model of that Chinese scooter.
It is a Maddog Icebear 50cc with 139QMB motors.
I believe it is a Gen 1 also.
@@PraskaBoysGarage Thanks!
What make/model/type of moped is this? I have to see if there's a European version
I'll have to double check the title but I know for sure mine is a Icebear 50cc
Where can i get ruckus scooter for around this price?
This price was a killer deal for sure! I had to pay $500 for my white 50cc and even that was a good deal with it not running.
How many miles did yours have on it ? I’m having similar issues with a 2020 gen 5 maddog 50cc. Also had “carb work”, the same coil and spark plug and cdi upgrade. Only thing is mine only has 790 miles on it, so I’m hoping it doesn’t have that much damage
Hey David, sorry to respond late. I think I saw this question on the Chuckus Facebook group! Did you get your problem solved or are you still having issues?
@@PraskaBoysGarage I am still have the issue unfortunately
@@davidgutierrez6497 Well I hope yours isn't as bad as this one was! I'm not sure if you saw the next video I posted on it but turned out the rod was bent and the cylinder was cracked. Shoot me an email to praskaboysgarage@gmail.com or message me from the chuckus group on Facebook. I'd be happy to help you figure it out.
@@PraskaBoysGarage okay! What’s it your fb name ?

I just bought the 52mm kit from smm is that one you got?
We got the 100cc 50mm Big bore kit off eBay with everything included. Hopefully it will make a big difference!
@@PraskaBoysGarage oh yeah night and day difference currently have a 50 mm kit on my moped bout make it a 52mm jug and piston with a big valve head.
@@perfectcell7995 What did you do for gearing? Did you run stock or did you change them out? I have been doing research all day and there in no good information available! Looks like I will be buying all of the gear ratios and making a video soon!
@@PraskaBoysGarage are you talking about the CVT transmission gearing or the rear gears behind the transmission if you're talking about the rear gears you can just go with stock I don't know of many reliable options for upgraded rear gears these days Scrappy dog had some before they closed down but I don't know anywhere reliable these days.
@@perfectcell7995 I guess I don't know about the CVT gearing other than the variator weights for tuning. I talking specifically in the rear gears that control the output shaft. In my research I have found ratios from 2.25 - 3.47 and I think I will order all of them and do a time test to see which is the best to get.
Guy, that is a hum-dinger bike for converting to electric - seriously. Just install a back wheel with a hub motor.; Suitable battery (30-50 AH) in place of the fuel tank. A controller and charger as well as some minor ancilliary bits. I promise there will be no comparison with the original.
Awesome! Hella Kewl!
Thank you!
I'd toss a Chinese 150cc gy6 in there... Maybe even a 170cc big bore
Kit.
I've got one in a generic Chinese atv and she screams and rips like a beast without even doing any cvt mods.
Great scoots! I'd rather have one of those than a real Honda Ruckus!
That's the plan for my unit if I can find the right motor mount bracket! Might need to sell a couple projects to fund the new scooter addiction!
Especially since most idiots pull the quality water cooled honda engine to add a pos gy6. Save the money and start with a gy6 bike. This stretched lowered fakeruk is $1700 new a stocks ruckus is $ 2300 before taxes and fees
Have you ever worked on the kxd brand mini atv?
I have not, but I do know of them. Typically 50cc 2 strokes I believe or at least that's how the dirt bikes are.
@@PraskaBoysGarage thanks for replying! I just got a used one. Its 4stroke and having hard time finding parts for it.. smokes a little though. Any suggestions on what to check out? Thanks
@@reneramirez3813 Depending on how old the motor is it could be a few different things. I would check your valve lash and make sure it's in spec. Could be worn rings. Do a compression check and see how well the motor is sealed up.
@@PraskaBoysGarage thanks for the help buddy! I'll look into it!
@@PraskaBoysGarage so I adjusted valve lash. Was a fuzz off. Checked compression but the needle did not even move. But the bike starts right up no problem. Are there different testers for atvs? Also any tips on cleaning carbon from piston without taking everything apart? Thanks for the input!!
The cheap air filter right by the rear tire is not helping anything! Dust is getting in the engine, eating rings and valve seats! I just bought one doing the same thing, it had the air box missing with a filter less intake right beside the tire, it wouldn't run, the rings were gone,
Any advise on which one to get? I ordered a UNI filter for mine and will use some K&N air filter spray when I put the big bore kit on my white scooter.
Yoo BJ when is the next project?
Working on it right now! Hope to have it done this Sunday and edited later next week.
Buy one what the other tools you use bro
All the tools I used in this video are linked in the description. Let me know if you need something you don't see!
Should run at 100psi, but that's still very low. Should be around 140-175
Yeah, it had no power but still ran. When part 2 comes out you will see we find the real issue while upgrading to motor!
Naraku or airsal are your best brands for bbk, and cvt tuning will be crucial.
@@zeebull We just purchased the cheap eBay kit and plan to throw nitrous at it and see if it blows. Then we are swapping a 150cc into them and that's when the real power build begins!
Nitrous will definitely blow it. Promise. And the 150 swap is easy. I've done it with several 50cc bikes, maddog and plastic pony alike
@@zeebull Where do you get your motor mount for it? Everyone that carries the weld on mounts are sold out!
i would kill for a deal like this
It was a good deal for sure! Justin road it all summer long! Turned out to be pretty good!
33 degrees and no gloves and no jacket? Brrrr. And from experience, the speed drops considerably in the cold along with mpg. Prolly get 32 on a summer day at 85 degrees.
You're right! Justin has been riding it all summer and after the 100cc kit was installed he gets up to 40 mph on perfect conditions!
@@PraskaBoysGarage change the variator on a real ruckus and 45 is standard, sometimes 50 with the wind.
Where to buy from?
Links are in the description for any tools or parts you might need. The scooter was originally found and purchased off Facebook Market Place.
Can you swap stator types on 110cc
If you mean between the 2 coil vs a 6 coil, you can't unless you also change the stator cover as well.
These youtubers must know of a secret craigslist or something....I look for projects like 2 hours a day and never find deals like that!
I only use Facebook Marketplace these days, but yeah my buddy got a deal on this one! The white one I bought also not running and cost me $500!
Yea FB does seem to have better deals these days
