In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Приколы
Victoria changing the key and tune completely and Alex clearly not having guitar skills is hilarious
Oh, he has rather better guitar skills than this. Note that the music for the show is composed and performed by his band "The Horne Section", to say nothing of his other musical appearances on British shows.
Alex is doing a very good job here of _pretending_ not to have guitar skills.
🎵 I've got a stupid song stuck in my head, I hate you Alex Horne even more than Right Said Fred! 🎵
@@ortho_normal from his excellent podcast, he often remarks on how little skills he has at actually playing instruments, but can compose and assemble very well.
He’s like the beautifully insane glue that holds The Horne Section together.
@@ortho_normal I dont think he does have guitar skills. The guitar is tuned to a drop D to make chords easy, and he learned the fret placings (somewhat). I think he’s good at music, just not at guitar specifically :P
@@ortho_normal you don't have to be particularly skilled at any instrument to frontman a band or compose. Also the credits name two other members of the Horne Section for composing the show's incidental music.
Victoria struggling with singing and Alex struggling with playing guitar combine to make a glorious clip.
Petition for Alex Horn to represent the UK at the next Eurovision song contest
The Horne Section should perform as contestants. I'd give my vote to them
As a huge fan of both Eurovision and Taskmaster, this would be dream come true for me.
This simply needs to happen.
Can we make an official petition and get 100,000 signatures so it's considered for debate in parliament?
Petition for Alex to present the news in this style.
Victoria answering a question with question is such a mood.
I think Victoria leaving as quickly as she could is such a mood tbh
She's Jewish. Answering a question with a question is in our blood.
People saying such a mood is such a mood.
"I find eating food the most exciting thing to do "
My soulmate.
And yet, on the Off Menu podcast with James Acaster and Ed Gamble, she revealed that she doesn't like trying anything 'interesting' or 'unusual'. Seems there are about five different things she likes to eat, but also that eating those specific things is her favourite thing in the world.
poor david
@@CthulhuInc or, perhaps, lucky david.
I would like to take her and hubby for a decent kebab... But I fear they just wouldn't go for it; far too much out of both their comfort zones!!! 😊
Except kababs from a van
The commitment to rhyming the answer is commendable
Victoria has never been skiing. So her answer is, "Give me about 1 minute. I've seen it done..."
This reminds me of Mawaan Rizwan's classic video "Never been skiing"
Clouds are obviously placed there by the Cloud Appreciation Society
I first heard him sing "clowns," and I thought to myself, surely he already knows the answer to that?
Hugh's still subscribed to that??
obviously
@@mikemack9701 I heard clowns too and the answer is obviously nightmares.
I heard clowns too, and so was confused and frightened by the answer
love victoria, love alex laughing at being compared to the eurovision.
To be fair, this is so much better then eurovision
@@CyberBeep_kenshi word!
@@CyberBeep_kenshi it would certainly get more points than most recent British entries :P
@@JamesCalbraith or my dutch entries........ just embarrassing. Although we can always point to jedward to laugh;)
Very Horne Section vibes
I'll admit that I haven't seen the other interviews, but I'm certain that Victoria is the only contestant who would demand a clarification and this brings me great joy.
Victoria: you know that weirdness and horror you felt during this?
That’s how contestants feel during the Music Question.
And also when she makes them sing on the spot 😆
Not wishjng to brag but I totally bossed the music question last night.
@@Tobycek brag away. That's an impressive feat. I'd rather untie the Gordian Knot.
Victoria only said 'I have another answer for you' a single time, I was on the edge of my seat for the whole video.
For someone usually so keen on the encouragement of enforced moments of uncomfortable singing in her quiz show, I was always curious how this one was going to play out when they started doing this series of interviews.
The hesitating delivery of the "Which other contestant..." answer broke me. 😆
I always knew Victoria was funny, but I never knew just how incredibly sweet and down to earth she is. Taskmaster has allowed us to see another side of this brilliant woman.
I mean, I've just heard her say she has never eaten a donner kebab because she doesn't want to die... That's neither down to earth or particularly sweet I would say
Ok so now I want to see a team task with Victoria and David Baddiel.
Have to admit, I do query the sanity of someone who answers ‘Baddiel’ to that question.
Compering yourself to David Baddiel is high form of self deprecation. But there is a reason his name is not David Gooddiel.
What's funny is I was not at all surprised she named him. Interesting.
@@marmarballz He’s a neighbour of hers irl, and she said he was the one who convinced her to take part, so probably the person she associates first with the show, but still...
I think she mentioned somewhere that she identified with him as a contestants, as in people will probably probably have high expectations of them because of the perception that they are cerebral but in fact when it comes to tasks like these, they just cannot function and do poorly
She just can't be anything other than adorable.
Agreed!
🎵 I’ve never been skiing 🎶
🎶 I’m worried this should rhyme 🎵
Victoria is great, Taskmaster is great, This season of taskmaster is great squared.
"it doesn't really matter what you do as long as you give it a go... in life"
As a lifelong procrastinator, this is exactly what I needed to hear today 😁
Alex lost it so many times during this video :D He's usually really good at keeping his poker face
To be fair, if there was one contesent that wouId out 'poker face' him, it's the appropriate one.
Alex has laughed a lot this series, in studio and during the task. I don't believe it's about breaking character. These five contestants have been wonderful and the editing team has left in his open laughter.
@@tjazeajn8028 I know, he's been positively giddy this series and believe me, I'm all for it
Watching Alex lose it mid-task makes me so happy.
Alex:"that one rhymed!" Victoria: "yes it did"
I love Victoria singing to ask for a clarification!
What made me laugh the most was Victoria saying she doesn't take anything very, very seriously. She is the most serious person I've seen in the twelve series of this show.
That's actually a truly beautiful reading of the meaning of the show. I love that.
I really appreciate how he changed the music to accommodate the way she was singing!
That glissando of Victoria as she sang the David Baddiel answer is certainly very impressive.
I love that she completley changed the tune. That's what I do whenever I try to sing, it always makes people laugh but I honestly can't hear a melody and reproduce it. (Neither can I sing notes. Or remember lyrics.)
We could form a very bad duo.
I love that she just RAN out the room!
I've never been skiing. I'm worried this should rhyme.
She went very Kate Bush for a few seconds at 2:31.
Very accurate ❤
Remined me of All About Eve
That gliss, wow!
Except she didn't know about Cloudbusting.
She left fairly quickly after that I wonder if she needed to make she David wasn’t moving her book marks.
This is pay back for making all those contestants on OC sing on the music round.
the way she burst out of the room after alex was done.. priceless
This was very Victoria and really showed what type of contestant she was going to be.
It's always delightful to see Victoria! I assumed that the interviews were going to happen in alphabetical order of the contestants' names (order in which they sit on stage), so I thought I would have to wait a long time to see this one. Glad to have my expectations proven false!
Love it when Alex starts cracking up 😂😂😂
Can we crowdfund a trip for Victoria to Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap in Berlin? I feel like she's really missing out.
Alan had the best song by far
Alan had the questions I would be most comfortable answering.
@@kisbie You have a problem admitting when you last had a doner kebab?
@@kisbie Do you just know more about moss than clouds?
@@a2dsouza You know when you’re snorting cocaine and a line is left on your upper lip? That’s called a Kate Mosstache, apparently. (Also there was a racing driver in the old days.)
@@kisbieno…I’ve never had a line left on my upper lift after snorting coke. Weird place to line it up yeah?
Is there any chance of the end-screen music not being four times the volume of the rest of the video? Thanks
No. No chance.
We've been asking for these interview videos to have balanced audio for years it seems it won't be technologically possible in our lifetime.
Somehow, I suspect Alan's interview was filmed after Victoria's, when Alex decided this would be much easier with a keyboard.
Different instrument every interview
Making lil alex horne laugh is a prize in itself.
Gotta love Old Goosebump Arm
I'm envious of David Mitchell
The respect between both of them is evident. They are delightful together.
I don't think I have seen her in anything else but I really like her so far.
Victoria's just brilliant at everything.
1:59 This is the best part of the song 😂
I have a comment for you.
This is the best of the musical interviews
That I have watched so far.
I find this song strangely compelling. I find myself singing it to myself throughout the day, "...what is the meaning of Task-ma-ster".
what a great song by Alex & Victoria
Oh bless. One question in, and VCM is already over thinking on how to reply her first answer. :D
And now I've watched the rest, this has to be my favourite interview so far. So on brand for both of them! Lol
all i do while watching these is imagine myself as a contestant and 94% of the time think, "i would be absolute shit at that." but when that 6% hits i think, "i would solve that SO hard/fast/satisfactorily the audience will cheer with wanton abandon."
so, what i'm saying is, if you want to have 4 comedians/actors and an entirely random person sitting next to them (which i think would be rather amusing), i'm available.
oh, it's beautiful really...I love Victoria, soooo much ❤
ALEX HORNE, "I have a REQUST for you ...." "PLEASE LEVEL OUT THE SOUND VOLUMES ON THE
VIDEO and THE INTRO/OUTRO MUSIC IN THESE CLIPS."
( I have to turn up my volume to hear your video voices, then my speakers get blown out when the LOUD outro music is blasted at nearly twice the volume of the clip.) If you fixed this, it would make watching these clips much easier/enjoyable to do. (And I WANT to enjoy your clips)
🎶I have another question for you🎶 - why was the march hare so important to the aztecs?
Worship It
Worship It
This is amazing
I've been humming this damn song the entire bloody day.
Now this song is stuck in my head!
perfect this! 🙌
"this is like eurovision" lol
I think the honest answer to "What does Taskmaster mean" is "an excuse to leave the house during a pandemic".
"I have a second clarification for you" is so good
Love it!
All Interviews should be conducted through singing, I may actually start watching the news if they did
oh my god she really can't sing, that makes this so much funnier
I'm imagining a love duet between the Mitchells now, and all I can recommend anyone else is : don't.
It makes it so much funnier that she delights in forcing people into song on Only Connect.
Really? I was pleasantly surprised by her singing. When she said she was bad at singing I was expecting miles worse than this. This is fine for the situation, for someone who makes no claim to be a good singer.
Oh she can sing better than I can
@@ym10up Ok, so if I play VCM, no more people who can't sing, you could be my name another :)
Literally every answer made me audibly laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Could watch this all day.
Oh my god, these get progressively worse and I love it!
That one's got to be the worst though, right? Morgana and Guz couldn't possibly be worse?
@@a2dsouza Taskmaster is always good for a surprise...(But I agree :D)
Only Victoria would relpy "I've a question for you"
These are so silly, I love it
I think this was the first time I have seem Alex break so much :)
Some indication of my high opinion of VCM’s intelligence that I was eagerly awaiting her scientific explanation of cloud formation.
Anyone else hoping for dense meteorological elaboration?
I misunderstood them, I understood 'clowns' instead. And I didn't even question the fact that clowns are supposedly floating around (according to VCM). XD
This was the best one of all! It was so bad that it was good.
That was a good one!
This record is going to go aluminum
always so quick and efficient
Fsel like the last line should of gone 'i have no more answers for you.' But them.just ending it with bye makes it wholesome and come in full circle
Down with this sort of thing.
I'm so fucking jealous of David Mitchell.
this was fun . . . runs out of the room - every date I've been on in the last 10 years
You've given me hope! I was wondering if anyone would ever want to go on a date with some who can rarely exit a room due to chronic illness. Someone is going to want to go out with a non-runner. Woohoo!
This is the first one I've seen and I'm already thinking it's probably the best, making Alex corpse is quite tricky 😆
Has anyone ever made overthinking so damned cute before?!
2:30 Alex broke Victoria!!!
Love victoria so much! 😂
“I’ve heard you singing and you’re better than I am.”
“Correct”
The audacity of little Alex Horne
He says "Great", so not as audacious because it sounds like news to him
@@zacharysmith2551 did he? Either way, still a cheeky little Alex Horne
little alex horne got some chutzpah
@@tinyderppotato5410 Presumably he has never been undermined by Mike Wozniak.
that was weird, less awkward than i expected it to be and in the end it turned out to be kind of addictive and i wished it was longer.
Made me think of mawaan's song "never been skiing" here on youtube xD
Madness, simply wonderful madness.......
Brilliant
How can you find food exciting and not have eaten a Donner kebab? They're so good
I heard that they deep fry everything in the UK (there are several confirmed sightings of deep fried pizza which is disturbing). If the only Döner Kebaps she saw were deep fried, I could totally relate. But she clearly is missing out on the proper ones.
@@joycastle. I think you're confusing Scotland with the UK as a whole. But deep fried Donner sounds crazy
Based on other media, I think generally Victoria finds a very strict subset of foods exciting and the rest terrifying.
I wonder if she decided not to sing the science of clouds quite deliberately 😆
100% predicted that Victoria had never eaten a donner kebab.
What's a donner kebab?
@@mikemack9701 It's a local variation on a doner kebab. Very local.
@@Jcorry123 chef kiss emoji for you
Victoria simply not hearing 'another' word of it...
Victoria finds eating the most exciting thing to do... but even that wont bring her to try a dodgy kebab. lol
Not serious? She is intense but seems like she is having a good time.
odd observation: Alex's guitar isn't tuned to standard. I'm thinking EBEGBE because he's only playing with one finger but he's playing proper (ish) chords
That was wonderful!!! Great line up for this series, BTW, for some reason I can only view EP 1 & 2 of SE12 on you tube, and then all other episodes are region blocked, I can still watch these interviews and featured tasks and the podcasts but not whole episodes, it says its been blocked by the poster of the videos.
check in the community tab of the poster's channel.
I want to hear Alex sing the Diggy Diggy Hole song.
Great
why is the audio so bad/low on these interviews
