In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

@@jojoyear The whole cast is great this season. Victoria is one of my favs, just for the joy of learning how to ride a bike. She turned into a 5 year old on screen in seconds. That alone would have made her the right answer for Alex. I'm just saying the look and tone of Morgana's for the Father Christmas stuff was funny and... you know.
And my face screamed 'SAME HERE'.
They're all pretty great though, no wrong answers! I was just sure I would like Morgana and even VCM to an extent, Desiree was as cool as I expected, but Alan (and Gus as well) surprised me.
Even though I've seen QI, he's even more lovable here.
It's amazing how Guz can revert to being five years old in less than a second. Absolutely love the guy.
I really cant believe that this guy is like 35 years old...
I can. But that's cuz I'm 35 and still think like him 😂 But just the childlike part, not the comic genius part!
Especially considering this is the oldest that the youngest contestant on a series has been.

I love how Guz accepted how the lighthearted mood was intended. I have fallen in love with him.
That Allen Davis answer was devastating.
I adore Guz so much. He seems like the type of guy that people think is "scary" because of his size but is really just a giant teddy bear. I also really want to know if that bit at the end was planned or not, because if it wasn't and Alex answered that quickly it's like super amazing comedy chops. If I were him there would have been a long silence as I tried to decide which was the funniest answer and then it would be too late.
You basically only have two choices. Either you say Guz and it’s not funny. Or you say anyone else and it is. I think Alex just said the first name that came to his mind. :)
Alan Davies felt like the natural answer because his last name rhymes with "series" and it just sounds right lyric-wise. But then again, I probably would not have though of it on the spot either.
His size? He's not a very big guy

GUZ IS LIFE!!!!! I think Alex really enjoys Guz; check out how many times Alex drops his persona and laughs or his face turns pinky-red or he matches Guz’s child-like energy like in the football goal task. Guz is my new favorite contestant replacing James Acaster. Also, figure out a way to get TM in the US...GBBO did and look at how it improved humanity. Cheers!
I know! That horrible one season on Comedy Central should be forgotten, and people shouldn't point to that to say Taskmaster "could never work here." I would absolutely love to see the UK and NZ versions on a major service like Netflix or Hulu, and then have Avalon do another go at a US version.
@@davidgrenier taskmaster US failed abysmally. But you're both right and wrong with saying that doesn't mean it could never work. The idea is simple enough to execute, but advertising or commercials in the states hinders the format drastically. There simply isn't enough time to air the tasks in a rewarding way. Unless they can find a network that will do it with less adverts, they're screwed.

As much as I love Reggie, he was the wrong choice for Taskmaster USA. The program needs a stronger willed Taskmaster sitting in the chair (more assertive/dominant) Especially in the USA where people are hyper competitive and emotionally charged. Which is the other main reason Taskmaster USA failed. The majority of contestants did not understand the spirit of it and weren't willing to make fun of themselves enough. Lisa Lampanelli was often mean spirited and not humorous and Kate made everything about feminism

Last time I said that Victoria's Interview was the best so far, but Guz easily bested that.
It slightly annoys me they’ve deviated from the alphabetical order in the uploads, but maybe they’re building in terms of how funny they were. This was definitely the best yet.

@@glennd.3929 I did like Mike Wozniac and I'm sure he's a great person but idk... something about the ultra-British, Victorian, old sport-ness of his persona isn't my favourite. It's totally unfair to project but I feel like in an alternate universe there's a genial colonizer version of him. I jive much more with James and Guz's chaotic energy. Am I the only one who feels that way though?

If this is how Alex interviews all potential contestants I don't see how anybody could top Guz. Not only amazing enthusiasm and humor but legitimately good answers.
I believe this advice is good for anyone ... if you don't want to know the answer, don't ask the question. Poor Guz!

Series 12 was my favorite and i loved the whole cast but Guz was the major standout for me. Such a charming, hilarious dude.
The part about the biggest item he's thrown out of a window was great music - almost like a rap flow!
