In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Приколы
Johnny Vegas is the human embodiment of starting a sentence and not knowing how it's going to end.
*softly out of nowhere* "Ya like ta start fires doont ya"
"You mumble. You sing a *lot* of songs we can't get clearance for."
😅😂🤣
"I only killed one dolphin and it had it comin'. And if I write a nice letter to the queen, she'll let me taste swan." Honestly, gold.
Yes. No better way to end this. Hilarious
I hope her majesty invites Johnny to have swan with her one day...
I thought it was “she’ll let me taste one” like taste a dolphin lol.
@@quinndirector That's what I thought at first but then I did a quick Google search, apparently The Queen has a prerogative over all swans in England and Wales and there's a thing called The Royal Swans. But you never know it with Vegas...
Nice mantra
Hearing the folks behind the camera wheezing with laughter towards the end was golden.
IMHO that was Alex Horne, listen to his laughs and reactions from No More Jockeys. This is wonderful content.
That was greg wheezing btw i know it well
Alex was laughing too tho
@@Jongoldlanz Alex is in the shot, that’s clearly not him laughing at the same moments when he’s talking.
all those these interviews have some subtle weeze-laughter in the background, and it's utter gold! KP's interview was bananas too.
_i am not a crook! i am not a crook!_
"get in the back of the van"
I don't know why he started with that, but I am so glad he took the chair. He had me non stop laughing
“When you weren’t killing ducks you were actually quite a good student”🤣🤣🤣
6:41 listen closely and you hear "quacktually"
The gentle care with which "Alex" speaks to "Johnny" is beautiful.
the crew in the background trying not to laugh is so hilarious
Yeah hah that is brilliant
I don't think I've ever heard the crew so audibly crack during an interview before!
It was the same in the studio for Taskmaster during the last series. I was sat with some of the camera crew and they were laughing all the time while filming behind the camera. It was marvellous to see that the people who work behind the scenes enjoyed the show as much as the audience, contestants & the presenters.
Absolutely brilliant, Johnny took the concept and ran with it so far even Alex lost the plot at times 🤣
Alex trying not to laugh as Johnny goes off on a monologue is everything I needed today
6:41 "When you weren't killing ducks, you were quacktually quite a good student!"
Had to go back and make sure I had heard that right
I love how especially towards the end you can hear the camera ops pissing themselves
Yeah, that's just the cream on top of this interview. Absolute madness. 😂😂😂
I've watched Johnny for years now, many many shows he's been on, and I still cannot figure out if he is a massive genius or a massive lunatic.
He's simply a massive Vegas.
Bit of both?
@@singenstattatmen5096 Yeah must be. I just love how you can never tell if he's telling a story from his memory or if he's just making it up on the spot.
Why not both?
He’s a very talented artist. Pottery I believe. I think it’s pure creativity.
I sincerely hope with all fingers and toes crossed that they do one of these interviews with Bob Mortimer one day
He did one for the champion of champions series it's on the uktv play channel I believe
@@sachikominsat705 Link Link Link Link Link, and do you have a link?
@@SOSULLI Are you looking for a link?
For Alex, this was a reversed-roles interview, but for Johnny Vegas, it was Tuesday.
(he 100% has a conversation like this with the man in the mirror every morning)
(and evening)
(and luncheon)
"Three times a day."
The worst thing about this is that with Johnny Vegas, you can never tell what's real and what isn't.
similarly to Bob Mortimer
The *best* thing! ^^
BECAUSE IT IS!!!!!!!
because it is.........
he does have a middle name irl
That is the genius of the man.
"You sing a lot of songs that don't get clearance." This made me laugh more than anything else.
This was exactly as chaotic as I expected it to be
This is the best. Alex is on his A game in this interview. Strange that he had to keep explaining Johnny’s own life to him. He is a great listener, apparently.
"It's like a cod dracula in a coffin"
The crew's muffled laughter totally made this, so good
Ich bin tapfer = I‘m brave.
Ich bin Töpfer = I‘m a potter.
Ich bin ein tapferer Töpfer = I‘m a brave potter.
Just in case anyone needs this sentence in the future.
Der tapfere Töpfer tupfte tagelang tapsige Tippfehler :D
ein tapferer kleiner toaster
as one would often do
That's why JKRowling only had mild success in Germany, who wants to read stories about a guy named Harald Töpfer
Maybe be helpful for some people from Stoke on Trent. Otherwise, it's a fairly niche market😁
Alex is a 10 year old country boy who's been left alone with his uncle for who knows why. It's very late already, and his drunken uncle has decided to tell him absolutely every story he knows. Little Alex Horne wonders when his parents are going to be back, because he's desperate for a reason to go to sleep. By now, he's running out of ways to react to the stories, as well as ways to steer away from the most awkward ones that he now wishes that he didn't know.
brilliant
Johnny Vegas is one of those guys who you quickly realize has a lot more depth than you first think
These are the best interviews I've seen in my life
What was the context for this, did they switch places?
@@davidshi451 yeah, johnny has to answer the questions as if he were alex, when they did one with daisy she was super confused
I feel these are slowly becoming less as interviews, and more of therapy sessions.
Every Vegas interview turns into a therapy session.
@@happinesstanand every Vegas task
"Cycle into the back of them and shout robot wars" 😂
This was bloody brilliant, and went unexpectedly deep. Two masters of dry wit and empathy cased in stoic façades.
This whole concept for the interviews is just brilliant. Would expect nothing less of Little Alex Horne.
Hearing the camera crew trying not to laugh in the background is the best thing.
"You sing a lot of songs where we can't get clearance"
"That's annoying"
Johnny Vegas isn't my usual cup of tea but sometimes his stuff really gets me
Sweet tiny christ... This is the best interview I've ever seen in my life. I don't even know how to move forward with a standard conversation knowing that I could do this to people...
“You like to start fires, don’t you…”
Johnny Vegas on a bike plowing into people while shouting "Robot Wars!" is the pandemic video I didn't know I needed.
The advert interrupting that video was brilliantly placed towards the end.
"This is your mantra -"
AD BREAK
- (continues)
This feels like Johnny is working through some stuff
I just have to say, I'm really impressed with the automatic generated closed captions from RUclips. I don't understand what Johny Vegas says half the time so the fact they can get most of it right is deserving of congratulations!
How do you know they get it right?
@@userjim83 If what Johny says makes no sense at all, you know the captions are correct
@@userjim83 I think they do at least, it's that thing that when you're reading as you're also listening, the reading of the captions help your brain decipher what's being said. That being said, they could be completely wrong and I'm just misunderstanding everything doubly.
The German is a little off, however.
I think Jonny is speaking unusually clear in this interview
How does Alex not laugh?
He smirks and all but he just knows how to maintain his posture.
This is possibly my favourite Taskmaster interview of the lot. Has me crying with laughter the whole time
Brilliant! And well done to the crew for almost holding it together.
"You like to start fires, don't you?"
I genuinely enjoy these interviews.
Johnny Vegas and Daisy May Cooper seem quite lovely and Alex seems to have recovered from whatever was going on in the last interview.
And in all sincerity, the actual Johnny Vegas seems like a nice person.
What happened to alex on the last interview?
He kept answering like he was Daisy and Daisy was Alex.
I read your whole comment, and I still don't know if you're talking about our Earth's Johnny Vegas, or Taskmaster Interviews' Johnny Vegas
@@nairocamilo My last comment about Johnny Vegas is meant to be about the real Johnny Vegas.
The other comment is meant to be about Johnny Vegas and Daisy May Cooper as played by Little Alex Horne and Little Alex Horne as played by Johnny Vegas and Daisy May Cooper.
I agree that it’s a real head-scratcher.
I'm certain that was the crew I could hear falling at not laughing in the background. It was awesome.
The automatically generated subtitles are better at understanding Johnny Vegas than my own ears.
I’ve never laughed so much at the word “capture”
I think I can hear someone laughing off camera after "Alex" talks about Johnny's bike plow at 10:45
Yeah the crew are definitely losing it towards the end, and who can blame them.
@@singenstattatmen5096 No blame here, I think it adds to the comedy. He's a chaotic genius!
Come on, who wouldn't watch Johnny Vegas doing bike plows while yelling "Robot Wars!"? Channel 4 is missing out.
I met Johnny on a street in Amsterdam a few years ago. He's a very nice man. I think he has a big heart.
I cannot express enough gratitude for this full video being posted instead of just a clip
Can we talk about how strong the tweed game is here? First time I've seen either of them in it and they both look like they've had long careers doing Merchant Ivory productions.
Put this video inside a frame in the Louvre. Vegas is a genius.
Johnny Vegas is so extremely weird, and it's made weirder by a weird format.
I love what I've seen of him in shows, but apparently it's totally different from his earlier days doing standup. He always sounds so haunted, and I can only imagine the experiences that haunt him.
To be fair, that dolphin had it coming. The ducks, not so much.
Listen to his Desert Island Discs episode and you'll find out what haunts him
Wow, just wow. That was some amazing improv comedy right there.
"it's like count Dracula in the coffin"
Killed me xD
Johnny is brilliant, best interview I've ever seen.
He looks like a bigger version of Thom Yorke... Lovely charming person
how is this so surreal, terrifying and hilarious
When you weren't killin' ducks, you were Quacktually quite good at it. Brilliant.
I love Johnny Vegas, he is just naturally funny; he goes off on these tangential hilarities repeatedly, is he lying or telling the truth, God he kills me, toilet roll rant...
Johnny Vegas turned this very awkward concept into comedy fucking gold!!
best interview setup ever!
The duck story is some next level sh*t! I love how the crew are wheezing in the background, wonder how many takes there were for this? How has Alex kept a straight face, I’m pissing myself laughing!
Brilliant! I've been a fan of his for a long time now - he makes nonsense sound so serious - it's definitely an art 🤣🤣
“growing the beard to a Barista length“ 😂😂😂
This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Taskmaster has made me a new fan of Johnny Vegas
This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever seen
Loved this interview
Awesome!! He is so funny, able to take an idea and run with it
A prime example of taking an idea an running with it :D
this interview format is perfect for Johnny
This Task has to stay for future season
It's not technically a task. They do this with all the contestants every season but it's always been uploaded as bonus content. The uktv youtube channel has some I think, but they're location blocked.
@@debran940 this channel uploads the Series 10 episodes but you need a VPN to see it.
@@Bellocks1 I don't need a vpn in my country. It's only blocked in specific countries.
@@debran940 oh cool where do you live? Here you can stream it on demand, on 4OD but it’s ridiculously full of ads, it’s worse than RUclips.
This warmed my soul.
Johnny is the God from St Helens.
What a guy. Underrated comic. And a lovely guy.
This is the interview I saved for last, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
This feels like something straight out of a Wes Anderson movie...
Such a different interview from last week's one, but just as enjoyable~
Task master has evolved into something greater, more fantastic and bizzare than before.
This was actually great
I didn't expect it at all, but this was seriously hilarious!
I just watched the ring and then the next thing I see alludes to johnny p vegas climbing out of a well, I am thoroughly spooked
If this went on for six hours I would still watch the whole bloody thing! Although the crew in the background would be literally pissing themselves by that stage
This is amazing!
A fish finger looks like cod Dracula in a coffin 😂😂
That German is actually understandable. I'm used to such heavily accented German that you can't understand half of what they're saying🤣
I am used to swissgerman from Wallis. So yeah, his german was totally understandable.
You can tell Alex and Johnny are very good friends because it seems like Alex knows Johnny very well
Absolute brilliance!
Guten Morgen! Guten Abend! Guten Tag!
Ach!
10:37 The robot wars joke has me creasing 😂 😂 😂
Johnny vegas is fucking brilliant off the cuff. I honestly love every single minute of his on-screen appearances with pretty much every program he's in. I'm from America so all I know of him is from panel show appearances but any time the camera is on him HE is the star.
"when you weren't killing ducks, you were quite a good student"
We all know someone like this from our schooldays, tho I don't think the one from mine became a famous comedian 😂
Johnny looks amazing :D
Alex looks weird here. Almost like he's about to peddle me some PG Tips.
He's in his regular suit, what do you mean?
I'd buy them and I don't even like tea.
This joke is great because it works no matter which one you choose to view as Alex.
Taskmaster, now exclusive to ITV Digital.
True, I was also going to ask him to pop his bike down and sell me a loaf of Hovis....
oh man those last 5 minutes were great
Lovely flatcap 👍🏻👌🏻
This task was made for Johnny Vegas.
Hahaha that was fucking brilliant, makes you think sometimes is Johnny Vegas just mental? He's a legend.
Had to watch it again
That off camera laughter around 10:46 xD
...this is the best version of Waiting for Godot I've ever seen.
Bargain Hunt and Homes Under The Hammer have got it FUCKING coming!
360 degrees of brilliance
