Thank you very much for the very informative and excellent instructions on how to use this battery charger. The manual is absolutely confusing 😕. Once again, thank you for taking the time to do this excellent video
Thank you so much.. I have several of these batteries. What I really need is a discharge video I'm having a hard time with the settings.. if you would I would appreciate. Do you have a battery u can use. When I goto the screen I'm looking for the 5.0A but it only goes to 2.0A. What does the cycles mean? I'm wanting to discharge my battery as low as I can go then charge them back. How would u do this. Thanks. I understand the charging part ok it's the discharge I'm having trouble with. Thanks again
Good video. I am building an RC battleship and I have the exact batteries you have w/ the same charger. I am at the part of installing motors and servos and want to use the battery off and on to test functionality and such. My question is, would it be best to do the "storage charge" function so that I can mess around with testing while keeping up the integrity of the battery? Lastly, how long will the battery last in "storage charge"? If fully "storage charged", A week, month or more? Thanks
Yes you can keep it at storage charge which is about 40% charged. Just be sure to check it every now and then while using it so that you don't drain it below it's charging threshold which I belive is 3.2v i never personally let mine get below 3.4 ever. They will last on the shelf not being used at storage charge for about 2 months before you need to re check the storage charge levels.
Very nice video!! I just got mine! And I have a 3s zeee lipo battery connected and the voltage is a 11.1v and when I charge it the display is showing 12.13v should I be concerned or I’m I doing something wrong? Thanks

You just need an adapter from your molex connector to the deans on the charger so would be I believe a male molex to female deans adapter. You might have to double check that though.
@@austinprickett7443 no I had to remove one of the other connections with thick wiring that I wasn't going to use and solder on an ec5 connector myself.
@@elidobbs5876 not sure what your asking. There isn't a specific 3s plug you just need to make sure your plug matches one of the plug types on the charger!
@@jdrcchanneltexas5497 I just bought brand new 3s batteries like the ones shown in video but the 10-1 charger doesn’t allow the plug to fit into the charging hole
Those are ec5 connectors I soldered on so it would charge. You can buy an adapter so you don't have to do any modification. You could get a (female deans) to (male whatever you have) example.. If I have a battery with a ec5.. I would get a female deans to male ec5 adapter. So one end plugs into the deans on the charger and the other end plugs into your female plug on your battery type.
Mine didn’t come with the ec5 connector, only ec3. Do you NEED to plug the discharge connection coming from the battery pack to the charger to charge ? Thought that was just for discharging a pack..
Mine did not come with an ec5 either I had to solder it on myself Also yes you always have to connect the 2345 or 6 pen connector as that monitors each cell in your LiPo battery it is for balance charging or charging in general so it can make sure that your cells are even
Are you referring to a liHv battery? If so I'm not sure as I don't run those. I'm not sure if there is 4.35v lipo battery's as I've always ran the standard lipo in all my rc's. You might have to look up the manual and see if it has the settings for that function. Sorry I couldn't help.
Yes if you have set it to the correct battery amp and cell it will stop when it reaches that amp. So a 4s lipo that is 6000mah will be set to 6.0amp and will stop when it's fully charged.
Does the charger shut off on its own when the battery is fully charged. Bought my son a RC car for Christmas with this charger. Car is nothing special just a cheap o. If he stays interested then we’ll upgrade to the higher priced stuff. That being said I have li-Po and li-ion batteries 1600 and 2000mah. Don’t want to blow anything up. Have the setting on 2.0a 7.4v 2s when charging the li-ion but seems like the charger pushes past the 7.4v when charging. Is it supposed to shut down automatically when fully charged. Thanks in advance
I have the 2s LiPo at 7.4volts but on the charger it comes up like 8.2v. Capacity cut off is 8000 mah but my bat is only a 5200 dose that also matter or do I have to change something .
So when you charge your 2s lipo make sure 2S which should show 7.4v is selected then make sure you A is set to 5.2A which is 5200mah for every 1000mah it's equivalent to 1A.
What does the 38.48wh mean? Also how long does a balance charge take? I know it could vary depending on how dead it is but just in general how long? Thanks bud.
Not sure about the 38.48wh haven't seen that on my charger settings. As far as balance charge depends on how large the lips and how many MAH it is typically my 4s 6000mah lipos take about 2hrs from drained or about 1 hour from storage charge level. I recommend always storage charging when not using for a while and always balance charge or at least every 3 charges.
I set the mAh and V correctly, but when I am charging my lipo Zeee battery, I notice that the V reading is exceeding the 7.4V that I set it to. When I check the status though, it is still less than 100% charged. Is it ok that while charging the V exceeds the 7.4 I set it to, and can I just leave it charging until it auto stops?
Yes it should be higher the battery is 7.4v but it has to use higher V to charge the battery faster. Mine typically runs between 7.5-8.0v while charging when it's done it should sit around 7.4v maybe a little higher or a little lower but should be by much. Same as when your alternator in your car in running to charge your battery it will run at around 14v but your car battery is only 12-12.5v it has to put out more cureent than the battery holds to charge it. You should be fine. Both Your cells should be right about 4.2 when charged so make sure your balance charging every time you charge so your cells match up or within 10 thousands of each other. Mine usually sit at 4190 and 4200mv on the lipo cells.
What is the capacity cutoff for? Any reason to change it if I’m only running 6200 mAh batteries? Also, any reason to reduce the safety time from the default 240 minutes? Is that how much it charges AFTER the battery is fully balanced charged?
Cutoff is so the battery doesn't drain below it's threshold if it goes below 3.4v the lipo will be trash! The safety time should be how long the charger will run before it auto shuts off.
Thanks , i set up as lipo , 4.6, once i press to start charging says batt check beeps and says lower cell volt but cant seem no options after that any help appreciated

I actually took off one of the plugs I wasn't using and soldered a Ec5 connector on and converted all my cars and lipos to ec5 so I could charge them all the same connection.
