Gotta be a bit embarrassing for Wizard. After all the hoop about running without paying, you only get 1/2 a mile and it breaks down. Tyler has a great attitude. Instead of getting bent out of shape about the concept car, he focuses on how nice the Buick is. Merry Christmas.
The sad reality is, car parts are made to be broken nowadays, so you will get the odd piece of doo-doo straight from the factory with a very short lifespan.
The part where he mentioned the legality of driving it confused me, don’t workshops have “trade” plates over there that covers what ever car they drive?
@@mj_aussie_coaster_travels8310 The vehicle has no legal title, and it has a certificate of destruction on it. Simply getting pulled over could get the car impounded. Regardless of plates.
The hoopties didn't give you that bill. That's greed-flation. We know those old GM parts prices have been on the shelf when they were cheap and people just marked them up. Change of the era.
Hopefully enough people watch this so in an hour Hoovie doesn't change the thumbnail and title "I made a video about repair bills and none of you are watching it!"
For how much work the Car Wizard does he is very very reasonable in his bills, watching these vids I am always struck by how he gets so much done for the prices he charges.
Cannot answer that for several hours into tomorrow no doubt. You're asking too early. I don't think he is directly involved in correspondence on here anyway.
I had an Ultra...one of the worst vehicles I ever owned...looked great, but constant expensive repairs...got rid of it at 100K...my last GM vehicle...Honda, Mazda and Toyota for last 20 years...and my experience improved immeasurably.
He is right Wizard slapping a dealer plate on a vehicle that has never been legally titled/registered for public roads does not make it legal. It's the same with vehicles with salvage certificates that haven't been inspected yet some dealers think differently and risk getting their vehicles impounded if a difficult cop pulls them over.
$7,600 sounds like a bargain to me given all the work done on the Buick and Eldo. Lucky to have someone willing to work on these vehicles.

New Hoovie!! Thanks for the new video!!! Merry Christmas!
Part’s changing rather than repair what can be. Such as resurfacing the exhaust manifolds and turning the brake rotors.
Car Wizard....you're a cool dude! I love that you're honest, and funny and mostly that your honest. Haha. Prices for many things have risen into the stupid range lately, and anything air ride related even more so. I had a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, and an 1995 Ford Thunderbird LX. Basically the same car, except the Lincoln had a schrader valve on the gas shock to integrate it into the Lincoln's air ride. A $50 shock became $350 because of that stupid air valve. Anyways, hope all have a great holiday!!
Wizard… you won’t get a Rolex, they don’t sell them… they just display them 😂😂
Good luck Tyler and Merry Christmas everyone…
I have to admit. The back end and side of that caddy is absolutely beautiful.
I wish I had a mechanic like the wizard. Seems he really knows his stuff and goes through the car. Not too many mechanics where I live have the time, space, or patience to go through things. I would love to know what / why things are wrong on my car and try to fix them myself. I’m a great parts changer but not a good diagnoser.
guaranty you would have a mechanic like him, or better, if you had a car youtube channel with over 1.5 million fucking subscribers.
Is that all it takes?! Lol! Tyler living the hood life!
$4500 bill and it breaks half a mile down the road. That's embarrassing.
Agree 💯
The sad reality is, car parts are made to be broken nowadays, so you will get the odd piece of doo-doo straight from the factory with a very short lifespan.
The part where he mentioned the legality of driving it confused me, don’t workshops have “trade” plates over there that covers what ever car they drive?
@@mj_aussie_coaster_travels8310 The vehicle has no legal title, and it has a certificate of destruction on it. Simply getting pulled over could get the car impounded. Regardless of plates.
You realize it's all done for the camera, don't you?
Merry Christmas from Vermont, glad life has been good to you after so much difficulty.
Pretty solid information. Good to know that many of these parts are pricy these days
Inflation is real 😂
that classic line at 14. 20 "my hoopties have just given me a $10000 kick in the nuts" and the wiiiiiiiizard replies "MERRY XMAS".............😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That wizard dude is taking you to the cleaners!!!! Don’t be a sucker
A kick in the nuts...
Wizard: "Merry Christmas!😁"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
For how much work the Car Wizard does he is very very reasonable in his bills, watching these vids I am always struck by how he gets so much done for the prices he charges.
he charging over $100 hour in middle of nowhere kansas. Shows $115+$20 for oil change for mobil 1 markup is huge on that.
@@jaggstamiddle of nowhere … with Ferraris audis and lambos…
I wouldn't be surprised if his overhead divided by his billable hours comes out to nearly $100/hour. @@jaggsta
I just paid $139 for a Mobil 1 oil change on my 2009 Kia Borrego V8... so that is about the right price for it... oil is expensive now...
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Got to love the Wizard using all those old AV carts to organize parts!
$7600 dollars for all that intensive and caring work is a song. Hoovie is able to exploit the cheap costs in Witchita for elite level mechanic work
Buick got valve cover gaskets, and a maf sensor and a shocks..😂🤣😂😂 That was Highway ROBBERY
This seals the deal. I will NOT be getting an older model car for a "toy"!
Is this video doing better than your last one, Hooovie?
Cannot answer that for several hours into tomorrow no doubt. You're asking too early.
I don't think he is directly involved in correspondence on here anyway.
unless im seeing something wrong , this video was posted about an hour ago and has 28,000+ Views!! Nothing lacking there IMO
Please do a full detail job on that Buick, I think it would look really nice with that interior cleaned up
Lol your brother wizard is awesome you gave him a incredible Christmas gift he deserves a awesome watch such a incredible man. Good job Tyler.
That Cadillac is BEAUTIFUL. Well worth the cost.
Wizard is indeed going to have a merry Christmas thanks to Tyler’s stupidity 😂
$100+ hour labor rate in middle of nowhere kansas 😂😂😂
I still love that pricele$$ one off bright orange thing. 🤩
I had an Ultra...one of the worst vehicles I ever owned...looked great, but constant expensive repairs...got rid of it at 100K...my last GM vehicle...Honda, Mazda and Toyota for last 20 years...and my experience improved immeasurably.
I agree, had a gmc truck no more. I made my first video! ruclips.net/video/r5IhhBMA5wY/видео.htmlsi=_dhVmdIkYRKgJrnq
Notification Gang🤣
14:40 The Caddy is AWESOME! Love the wheel covers.
Wizard giving me bad vibes this episode
Excellent video to show the downside of purchasing one off's and barn finds.
$1k to install door poppers? You need a new mechanic.
$115+$20 mobil 1 oil change he milking him dry with those prices $100+ hour labor rate in middle of nowhere kansas
Wizard needed Christmas money. 🤣
A nice classic Hoopty video A+, I wish I had a mechanic that showed all the parts and work.
