- In this video I completely rebuild the engine to my John Deere 350B bulldozer. this is a 3 cylinder John Deere 3152 diesel engine. I go through installing pistons, liners, timing, the head and accessories.

what is the brand and supplier of the kit that you use in video? I have a 350 B that I need to rebuild and like the looks of the kit you are using. Great job on the video. Very informative !

Lock washers were frowned on by SAE about 1966 as I recall. Put in a flat washer and torque and they will never come loose. Proved it to a guy on conveyor bearings. No marks on a smooth surface and torque is iffy enough (even with lube)
Makes sense, I didn't think that they hurt anything, but always interested in learning new things.

Hi Dillon. Where do you get your engine parts for the JD 350? I have M43TF 098444 T 1969-72, and can’t find a rear crankshaft wear ring/sleeve. Any help in locating this part would be greatly appreciated. I have followed your RUclips videos over and over again which have helped me incredibly to do this for the first time.
I think that is the same 152 motor that I have, I looked around a bit and don't have a straight 350 book, but on mine, the rear main seal came with the ring as part of it. My 350B book shows a part number of AR92893. It comes up as one part with the rear main, and installs as one piece, but comes apart when taking the motor apart. The inner bore stays on the crank, and the outer in the housing. I order from John Deere, or I search the part number and sometimes green farm part or one of the other sites has it cheaper. For other seals that are not a 2 part seal you can order Speedi Sleeves by size, and I have done so for other seals,

How do you know when it's 180 degrees? Asking because I got to rebuild mine soon.
If you are asking about timing, the best way is to look at the timing mark and take the valve cover off and make sure that your #1 valves are loose when the crank is on the mark. If the valves aren't loose, then rotate the crank 180 degrees
How do you check the RPM's after relacing the throttle cable ?
normally you would use the tachometer in the machine, if that isn't working, then you can use a photo tachometer, where you put a mark on the pulley or flywheel, whatever part of the crank you can see the easiest, and aim the photo tach at it while running and it will give you an rpm reading

I am a highway and heavy parts distributor and usually order the kits myself, but that one I got from the machine shop where I got the head redone

There are a bunch of options available, I got the pistons and sleeves and bearings from the machine shop that did the head and crank for me, but if you do a search for them, there are lots of options available, and over the last few years, prices have been changing regularly
