Werd. Always liked the GMT more than the Sub. How many people need more than 100 meters of water resistance? I kinda dont get why dive watches are so popular other than the history.
This black & black "Green Hand" GMT is the most versatile of the Rolex GMT line. I find the PCLs a little too blingy at times but this watch pretty much goes with anything I wear. The jumping hour hand is very useful when traveling although I won't be doing any traveling at least for the next year or two depending on how this pandemic pans out. Stay safe, watch community. Cheers!
I agree with most, that this is the most versatile men's Rolex. Get yourself a Rubber strap (I got one from Barton) and you've got the wrist presence of a sub that can transform to Yacht Master style for the beach, BBQ etc. Also that pop of green looks awesome. The latest, oversized sub looks awful on my 6.5 inch wrist but this is the perfect all rounder IMO. It's my only watch apart from a G Shock for sports activity. Finally content after years of flipping many TAG, Hamilton, Tissot, Seiko etc. Nothing wrong with the aforementioned but if you're going to own a Rolex then justify the expense and wear it! I'm not rich so this is luxury to me.
I personally prefer some of the other GMT variants, but like others here have already mentioned, this is easily the most versatile of the bunch. That alone would make it my first choice. Great review!
Timeless. Versatile. Classic. Glad I copped mine 2 years ago before it damn near doubled in price! The fact that this model has been put out to pasture makes it even more desirable.
I was dead set on Batman for a long time. Then I realized that Batman and Pepsi, while very pretty as watches, might not match well with all types of clothing. I got this all-black version and am extremely pleased. It's a manly sports watch that looks almost elegant at times because the only bling factor comes from the polished center links.
The Black is the best of the bunch....know it's subjective but to me it's more of a tool than the BLR or Pepsi/Coke which are more of a statement - I think even Pan Am wanted a Black for its pilots so they were more descrete
With the scratch prone polished center links there is more excuse to put this on a nato, but alas given the dressy aesthetic that seems sacrilegious. Its a dilemma, as I have learned the hard way that the clasp takes a beating if you have a desk job.
Hi Just wondering if anyone could advise. I am about to buy watch for present. Choice is between Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 Day-Date, Baume et Mercier Clifton 10450 and Baume et Mercier Baumatic chronometer 10518. Thank you
@@danisheverblue I was trying to figure it out, but I think the main difference is the currency conversion now. It may have gone down very slightly in USD but every other currency gets screwed.
Possibly the only practical tool watch people could use. Quicker to set time zones than an electronic/smart watch and doesn’t grab as much attention as the Batman/Pepsi/Starbucks when you’re travelling. Unlike the 99% of sub owners who will never dive with their watch.
This is what Batman would actually wear.
The most versatile Rolex GMT ever made. Goes with everything.

well not everything. Not in office setting or formal attire.
Notorious N I’m wearing mine in the office as I write this.
Goes well with a tuxedo or a soccer uniform. Versatile. I’m not sure the Pepsi edition could be as versatile as this elegant black color.
I agree man. And the polished center links make it alot more dressy than a Sub
Most underrated and great value rolex out right now

Discontinued forever, highly collectible :)
Got one
I'm about to buy one of these and am very excited. A present to myself for my first child
The perfect Rolex! Most versatile Rolex all-rounder. Goes on rubber beautifully as well
This GMT is the one that you can actually wear along with a black tie.
Does this particular model have the laser etched crown on glass?
Yes
Absolutely.
Yes
The timeless GMT
I still have one I bought new in 2007 with a 10% discount for paying cash. Those were the days! I was thinking of selling, but I’ll keep it awhile.

Which variants do u prefer
One day... just one day i’ll own this watch
This is the best six digit GMT. Forget the batman and the pink/purple pepsi
This and the 126711chnr!!

Classic but beautifil.
Need this watch its the only Rolex I want
Takes second place to the white gold blue dialed Pepsi GMT for me. But it's impressive nonetheless.
My favorite, first Rolex I owned, GMT Master II when they had just come out. Jubilie and black bezel. Back when cost less than a car.
Same here my first Rolex too, bought mine back in 2012. Crazy how the prices and waiting went up since then!
THE SLEEPER 🤫
Got one of these more than happy with I got offered £9000 for it recently. Had it about 18months. Wouldn't sell it though

I have one of these
My dream for all of life watch. I'm jealous.one day I'll be able to afford one.

None of the above…….keep saving
I would love it more with no date
It's now being called the "Black Panther"
I’ve heard it being named The Darth Vader also……..
How is it possible that the price of this is even more inflated now then before the covid downturn?!
Wow, that's a surprise.
I honestly taught it dropped.

I have this watch. Paid $6,800 back in 2017. Prices starting trending up when it was discontinued about a year ago.
Got mine for 5700ud in 2017 slightly used 🤣

How about if we nickname it the "Darth Vader?" Not my idea, but I kinda think it fits, no?
My everyday watch. Exactly the same except mine has a red dial.
Beg pardon?
Legend watch#ROLEX
The Darth Vader…..
Nothing exciting- one Rolex vs another Rolex promo.
