Good video. I picked up this watch from my AD just four days before it was discontinued. I actually had it in my hands at a dealer last Summer but my wife was standing next to me. I had to pass because I had just purchased 6 other Rolexes over the prior 2 months and she was starting to give me the look. Glad to have been given a second opportunity, and to have actually pulled the trigger, just in time! Phewf!
I like this. You wore the GMT on vacation, in everyday situations, that's as it should be. A little wear makes it better over time, means you've lived with the watch👍
People that worry about wear on their Rolex are probably flippers in that they want to keep it at maximum value. Normal people that are not flippers simply will not care. The little marks on that watch cannot really be noticed and they can be cleaned out down the line again.
I got this watch literally 2 hours ago. For months I was dead set on Batman, but videos like this changed my mind mere days before the actual purchase. I'm so glad I didn't go for Batman--the black bezel is more versatile, more mature, and I saved four grand.
I’m saving for a seamaster, I want to wear it everywhere and then in 20 years time see all the wear and tear and remember all the stories behind those marks.
@@Dranreb865 I have a dive watch & don’t dive, too. As far as I’m concerned, a timing bezel is the most useful feature you can get on a mechanical watch. I use it all the time!
I got mine after it was new in 2014. After about 18 months it stopped running and I had it serviced under warranty. About 6 weeks later I got it back and no problems since. Probably my favorite watch! My only complaint is like the one you had. The crown is impossible to pull out to set the time.
My Batman GMT also has a sticky crown too. I wiggle it too. It’s sort of like sometimes when your steering wheel on you car locks up. It’s actually improved over time (or I just instinctively wiggle it now and don’t notice it anymore).

I wear my sub daily as well. Take it off when doing any sort of manual labor, showering or sleeping, otherwise always on my wrist. I have the exact issue with my sub in terms of the sticky crown. Meh, I’m just going to leave mine as it is... once my warranty is up, I’m going to get it serviced and have it dealt with then. Doesn’t bother me too much, especially as I hardly have to wind it since I’m always wearing it
Did the warranty work correct it? I have a 2018 BLNR mark I. Does the same thing. Keeps immaculate time though. Plus 1 sec a day. When I hack, I turn back slightly and it works now. Took me years to figure that out. Thanks RUclips.
I've wanted a GMT Master II for quite some time. Now I'm in a place where I can afford one. I too live in SLC (Daybreak) so it was nice to see a shout out to OC Tanner. That's where I will buy mine for my Christmas present to myself. Going to Hawaii immediately after the Holidays and I want it on wrist when I go. Thanks again!
For a vacation like that out on the woods I will go more to the sub just for the scratches on the polished bracelet other wise it is a wonderful time piece!
try pulling the crown out using two fingers at the same time, and their corresponding nails from completely opposite side of the crown, such as your thumb and ring finger. The creates a more linear pull without any angle offset while being pulled out. I experienced a similar issue, but now my subs crown releases without great effort.

That issue with crown will come back after repair. The keyless works do thst when lubricants gets a little clumpy (from use). Had it happen to a couple new rolexes i had with the 3150, after a few years of very regular wear. Not a defect, just a known issue. The rolex lube on these parts are a special compound that contributes to this.
This is good to know. I have owned a GMT master 2 for more than 10 years; been thru one regular service. Part of its personality, in a way. I also have a cat who sometimes growls if you pick her up while she’s sleeping. Go figure.
